ME1: Saren: "Thank you Shepard"

The final scene when the humanity comes through for the Destiny Ascension and you hear the relief in the asari's voice. Hackett's orders to take down that monster at any cost.

ME2: Samara's story when she remembers being told by a near-sighted doctor that all she ever treasured would never be as she had hoped. All her joy being destroyed slowly but surely.

Shepard's death

Shepard and Garrus' romance.

Pressly's final log: "...and I would gladly give my life for each of them." Rest in Peace, Pressly

Garrus' story all the way to the end. "Why should he continue living while 10 good men lie in unmarked graves?"

For me, it was that one mission where you have to walk through the remains of the SR1 and find the tags of your former crew.  Talk about depressing.

Well, the Overlord DLC ending topped everything.

But I agree with lastpatriot ... walking in the remains of the old Normandy caused a feeling of profound melancholy for me.

Also: Walking through the half empty Normandy 2 after I had failed to save all of the Crew and Legion ... this horrible silence when you stand close to the galaxy map and you can still remember the monotonous "no new message"-line from Kelly.

Just want to start of by saying: That wasnt sad at all. Hale''s performance wasnt any better then the male imo.

My sadest moment is Overlord, srsly, you dont torture kind-natured autistic people like that :(

Mordin - Loyalty mission; the scientist meets the effects of his work in person.

Thane - Loyalty mission; failure of a father.

I had always wanted to romance Tali, when I had the chance in ME2 I took it. When it came time for the suicide mission, I didn't have Miranda's loyalty, but I made her the leader of the second team anyways. I sent Tali through the vents and when she tried to close the door she got kit by the rocket. I've never cried for a video game before, but that mission made me tear up really badly.

I didn't tear, but I lost her me too the first time, 'cause I used her as leader of the second team while I was crossing trough the swarms. At least in your version she died in a plausible way. I was both enourmosly angry and sad for that damned shot in the hip.

Also I was forgetting the Priesly's diary. Another really touching moment.

Overlord DLC was the most emotional for me. Even my dad decided to watch the entire DLC.

ME1: The destruction of Sovereign by the SR1 and the 5th fleet, Nuking Virmire for the first time

Me2: SR1's destruction, Overload and Shadow Broker DLC, Escaping from the Collector Base, and surprisingly Jacob's loyalty mission (of course this was after reading lord of the flies and heart of darkness)

Ok, I take my choice back, even though it's still a top one.

On Virmire, when Wrex gets angry for you wanting to destroy the base. I didn't have a high enough speech level to calm him down, so Ashley came up and shot him. When it happened, I seriously yelled out "You son of a ****!" without even thinking. Despite the fact that she probably isn't a son.

Needless to say, I knew who I was leaving behind before I even knew I was going to have to do so.

ME1

Sacrificing the hostages in Bring Down the Sky. Did my Shepard do it because of his Batarian Colonist History? I loved his 'I have to live with it' speech to the Engineer. And I also loved hearing the memorial service news report in ME2 - really brought it back that it was MY Commander Shepard.

My romance arc in ME1 and ME2. Liara in 1, but then she'd changed, gone so cold and my Shepard kinda assumed it was over and romanced Miranda... and then got called on it in LOTSB. I hit the paragon interrupt and kissed post-boss battle - but then stayed with Miranda and told Liara we should just be friends. The look on her face as she walked away just killed me.

It's already been mentioned, but for me, ME2 has one of the most genuinely happy moments of any medium I've experienced. When Tali sees you, she's suspicious. When the VS sees you on Horizon, it's anger and accusations of treason. Liara? She's become the Don of Illium... So when I had to go to Tuchanka, I couldn't imagine what lousy reception I'd get. And instead, I got this:

Really made my Shep's day.

Most emotional moment for me was when I saw the Normandy blow up (knowing it before, thanks trailers) because it was such a badass scene.  Speaking of bad ass scenes, end of ME2 does it great too.

I'm glad to hear, finally, that somebody else felt something while watching the Normandy destroyed.

Shepard's death was a gimmick and we all knew it. I remember going to another forum after the ME2 trailer came out and posting something like this: "Is there NO ONE besides me who's upset that the Normandy's been destroyed?"

I've had other, more emotional moments, but to this day after a dozen or more playthroughs and almost a whole year, tears still well up in my eyes when I watch the "Normandy Reborn" scene and hear that music play. Every single time.

Tali's Loyalty mission was definately a big one. But the most emotional moment for me was the very end of the suicide mission. When I get up alive and see my Shepard's best friend and love interest stuck underneath rubble. That moment in which you think that they're both dead...was horrifying.

I was also pretty moved by the "Shepard's didn't make it" scene from ME1, it was incredibly tragic and beautiful; it was ruined though by Shepard appearing and corny music playing.

I loved that scene a lot too.. enough to record it awhile back so I could watch it from time to time. www.youtube.com/watch The whole meeting was a warm experience... from seeing him, to the lengthy discussion you can have with him.

One of my favorite lines:

Wrex: "Well you look good. Ahh the benefits of a redundant nervous system"
Shepard: "Yeeeah... humans don't have that."
Wrex: "Oh.. it must have been painful then."

:)

some sad moments are listed on this forum topic: http://social.biowar...5/index/5331185

As far as some kick-butt emotional moments, I like the rising from the ashes ending of ME1.

When I went to Horizon to save Ashley and she just ranted angerly at me. I felt completely betrayed.

and when I realized that the collector ship was a trap. I got full renegade points during the debriefing with TIM. I was still so pissed at TIM's little stunts that I blew up the collector base out of spite.

Yeah, and how about: "You look good for dead, Shepard."

and (although this isn't a good quote)

"Reminds me of the old days: Facing the unknown. Killing it with big guns. Ah, good times."

Gotta love Wrex. Has only a walk-on part in ME2 and still has the best lines.

You know, that may be the best argument for blowing up the base that I've heard yet.

Ah Wrex I said it once and I'll say it again.

You know why Wrex's voice is so deep and why he talks so slow?

It's because time is being distorted my the gravitational force of his balls.
