Fifth Fleet jumping through the relay to save the Citadel. The first time I did the suicide mission (no casualties was a nice bonus).

Ironically, I'd say my most emotional moment wasn't even with "my" character. See, I was stuck in Ireland with family this summer and I didn't have my Xbox, but my cousin had a computer and I had bought Mass Effect 2 on Steam on the off chance I got a computer that could run it(after all, my Xbox won't last forever) so I decided to install it, played through it with a custom Maleshep and I got attached to it.

Then I got to the end of my romance, it was Jack and honestly, I just wanted to reach out and hug her.

there's a lot of epic moment in ME1 and ME2, but imho the most epic is when the alliance's fifth fleet arrives near the citad, and hackett orders to protect Destiny Ascension.....i hope there will be in ME3 some moments like this

I have no idea how I forgot the cabin scene with Liara. Oh well, it's right up there.

The colonist-specific quest "I Remember Me" where you have to talk down a suicidal fellow survivor of the Mindoir raid. She'd been a slave to the batarians since she was six years old, and was more than a little messed up.

This.

The new Normandy being revealed.

This was a close runner up, along with the look on Wrex's if you brought him to the endgame and it looks like Shepard was crushed, and the Alliance saving the Ascension.

Probably the most emotional to me was the Spectre Induction in 1 and revealing of the Normandy 2 in 2. Those small special moments along with the game's soundtrack make you remember them for long times to come. Mass Effect is supposed to be a very personal story and they definately got it right.

True.  Goosebumps on the revealing of the new Normandy.  Every time.  It makes me think of all the good stuff that is Mass Effect- space exploration, adventure, heroism.  It's pure joy.

I wouldnt say tear jerker but my first play through in ME2 when Mordin died. I thought I did everything right and I was a little annoyed he died.

I can honestly say picking between Ash and Kaiden was easy. I couldnt stand Carth in KOTOR so same voice actor made me happy to rid Kaiden. Infact I refuse to use Kaiden.

Suppose everyone's just about covered everything...

Maybe one thing though...At the very start of ME1 when you see the back of Shepard walking through the ship in that cut scene...funny thing it wasn't emotional the first time...but maybe now I know what Shepard has to go through...knowing Shepard is the only thing that stands between the Reapers and total destruction makes that scene so much more powerful the next time you play it...

Meeting up with Wrex. Felt like meeting an old friend. And, also, the opening of ME1. "That's the only type of person who CAN protect the galaxy" and the way the camera moves around shep when he/she reaches the bridge. Chills every time.

Forgot the biggest one. Killing the Rachni Queen. The way she moves from reasoning to begging to anger made me feel sooo bad.

Basically, yep... you can't upgrade anything on your ship (except maybe scanner and fuel capacity), have to skip all loyalty missions... and then make some of the most horrendous, idiotic tactical choices in the suicide mission.

Damn thing was harder to actually do than get a perfect victory... I had to replay the entire suicide mission about 6 times before I made all the "wrong" decisions "properly" lol.

I can't even do that choice anymore, even on my renegade characters.... I feel so damn.. evil... dumping acid on it to die and suffer a horrid death.

Did it just 1 time on my first renegade and I felt so .. unclean.

Virmire was pretty sad the first time around. It was a no-brainer who I was going to save as I was romancing Ash for that run, but telling Kaiden over the mic that were not coming for him was pretty difficult. Also, again on Virmire, trying to convince Wrex to accept that the base needs to be destroyed. He made some good points, and I felt bad for the decision, but it had to be done. I was pretty happy that I managed to talk him down on my first try.

Well, Virmire made me tear up, especially the scene where you see the squadmate left behind had fallen, and was using a pistol to snipe the last few Geths that she/he could, like Captain Miller in Saving Private Ryan. The last defiant resistance of a true soldier, without fear or regret.

But the scene that really made me cry the first time I saw it is the opening scene of ME2 where Shepard dies after saving Joker. The way she/he struggled as the helmet begins to leak and as her/his body begins to fall to the planet is just so heartbreaking. The Butcher of Torfan, The Hero of the Skyllian Blitz, The First Human Spectre, The Savior of the Citadel, ultimately just as helpless, powerless, and simply human, like any colonist farmer on Horizon or Eden Prime, slaughtered mercilessly by an enemy that she/he did not even know or recognize. It literally made me howl in fury and anguish and swear eternal vengeance against who ever did that to my beloved hero.

Both were in ME1.

Having to sacrifice a squad member on Virmire was the single most emotional moment in the series so far. Sure, you can lose your whole squad in ME2 but it doesn't have the same emotional impact. Part of the reason is that in ME2 the only way to lose squadmates is to make stategic or tactical mistakes. You lose a squad member on Virmire even when you do everything right. Despite being a Sci Fi based RPG, it's a fairly realistic portrayal of the dark side of combat leadership.

The 2nd for me was Shepard appearing dead at the end of ME1, only to emerge from the rubble. That scene was beyond epic.

Trying to save the galaxy while nobody gives a crap - getting dumped by Kaiden - then to top it off, I walked back into my cabin to find my fish died.

/sigh

Well there were alot of things that got me emotional. I probably wont remember all of them since ME and ME2 were full of them but I'll mention the few that got to me the most.

In ME1

-Ash on Virmire. I saved Kaidan cuz my femshep romanced him. My Mshep saw Kaidan as a bro and he shipped Liara. Ash was a good character and I hated to leave her. Sorry.
-Benezia's death. More so when Liara is in the party.
-Spectre = Win. So much pride.
-Nilus....poor bastard...never saw it coming.
-The inspirational speech Shep gives after first getting control of the Normandy from Anderson.
-The Rachni Queen. She had to watch her children die. It may have been for the better good but I bet it was hard.
-The rubble scene at the very end. The look on Kaidan's face made me want to cry.
-Bring Down The Sky DLC

ME2

-Shepard's death. When I first saw it I was literally screaming at my screen NONONONONONO! The sound of Shepard gasping and then stop moving. :'(
-The SR2 reveal. I did a little happy squeal. It was soooo pretty. XD
-The Loyalty missions.
-Thane reuniting with Kolyat. Also when Thane talks about his late wife. Talk about sad face, I wanted to cry.
-Tali upset over her father's death. I HAD to hug her even as a renegade.
-Good ol' Kal. He's just awesome.
-Garrus's whole recruitment. When I first found out that Garrus could die if you didn't do the mission right, I didn't know that meant the suicide mission. So when he got his face cracked I panicked. I was like NONONONO****NONODONTDIE!!!!
-I accidently killed Tali in the suicide mission....I restarted it.
-The people the collectors gathered. Poor milkshakes. That scene though creeped me out.
- Reuniting with Wrex. That warm reunion was a nice change.
-Urz....just....D'awwwww
-KAIDAN....kaidan that *insert explicative* I really wanted to shake him and say "Please Believe Me!!" *grumbles*
-The Paragon inspirational speech on the collector base. Regardless if anyone died prior or not. The one that's said if people die got me choked up.
-The Collector General after Harbinger released control. I actually felt bad for the poor bug that had tried to kill me.
-The DLC Overloard and LOTSB.

All in all there are sooo many. Bioware really did a good job at tugging at your heartstrings.
