I'm sure this has been stated elsewhere but does anyone know how to fix this issue? I was able to easily complete all of my renegade options on my "Renegade character" the first playthrough with a ME1 character import. I then beat the game and started a NG+ and have been struggling to meet the Renegade options neccessary to make the descisions I want.

I'm trying to recruit Morinth instead of Samara and you cannot do so without 4 bars (I think) of Renegade. I'm literally a sliver away from the amount I need. I have done every single Mission and Assignment up to this point, choosing all renegade options, and still don't have enough to be able to recruit Morinth.

This REALLY sucks because I'm trying to make this my "perfect game" that I plan on setting aside to import into ME3. And I really think that if this isn't patched or hotfixed I'm not going to be able to import my game into ME3 with the choices I want. Which sucks. For the of God please fix this broken BS.

I decided I'm probably just going to mod my coalesce file or do the infinite renegade/paragon respec cheat. Problem is if I do the latter I'll probably have to reinstall the game/DLC because I have 1.02 installed and I don't know where it is in the folders to get rid of it.

Sorry Bioware. If you don't want me to exploit your game then you should fix it.

You can do it with Paragon option as well. Moreover, it's not a matter of points in Paragon or Renegade, but (in your case) Renegade/Paragon ratio - should be as high as possible. Don't remember exactly, but you should have Renegade about two-three bars more than Paragon.

Play with gibbed's save editor if you want to, you may need to reduce paragon points instead of increasing renegade: http://www.masseffec...s.com/tools.php

The sum of your meters actually doesn't matter, nor does Paragon:Renegade ratio. For each of the persuade categories, it's Achieved:Possible points ratio. See this thread if you want more details. That thread doesn't have details on New Game+, but IIRC the points from ME2 NG+ are not "free" like points from ME1 import are - that is, the Possible total is going to start out higher, alongside the Achieved sum that's displayed in the bars.

Like I said, I've done every possible mission and assignment up to this point (including anomalies), choosing all Renegade options. I've also chosen all Renegade options with my crew except for Jack who I am romancing. My Paragon is just over half way up the first bar, and my Renegade is right on the line between the 4th and 5th bar.

I've tried to do the Samara/Morinth mission on Easy and Insanity to see if it makes a difference and I'm even wearing the Death Mask (even though you aren't really wearing it in the mission, you should still get the bonus).

Which evolution of your class power did you chose? If you took the 70% para/ren option, retrain your powers for the 100% option (watch your renegade score get boosted), do the mission, and then retrain back to the 70% one if thats the evolution you prefer.
By the sounds of it, you have missed a renegade option or two somewhere in game. Have you done anything "foolish" to spoil the renegade path, like giving tali a comforting hug during her loyalty mission. Did you talk the admirals into going to war after the trial, or did you just leave once the trial weas over?
Have you spoken to your sqauddies between missions and chosen the renegade conversation options when they appear? Theres only crumbs to be had there, but they add up. If you havent, then all you have to do to progress the conversations is to dock somewhere and then erturn to ship, you dont need to perform an actual mission.

Go ahead and edit the coalesced.ini or use Gibbed's save editor (much the same, just max em up) and play how you want, make the decisions you want. Your save will still keep track of which decisions you made.

If for some strange reason your end of game paragon/renegade scores (not decisions) actually matter in ME3, flying in the face of history so far... just edit the save with gibbed before importing it into ME3.

Crisis avoided, game enjoyed.

while I don't play on PC, I know from experience on console that it is very difficult to get enough paragon for important decisions i.e. jack/miranda argument, morinth, garrus' loyalty, etc. You really have to commit fully to one side, fortunately, the dlc's help a little bit, but ng+ renegade is a LOT easier that paragon.
