I was just doing this stuff myself and came up with the same issue. Ok, I'm playing a PS3 version, not that you can't pause that, but still, on PC it's much easier to do all this stuff, and you got a mouse :P.

When Ally Status Dead is missing there ;). Or do I need to use a different status, since after an ally "dies", he/she always stands up.So, maybe they're not dead, but unconscious or something, can't recall the status options, but will have a look. It sucks though, since there IS an option to use the spell, but on which rule should you use the revive spell then? :D

Also, when a group of enemies is closer together, that is called "clustering"? You can only use AoE spells on that right? For some reason Wynn could only use Group Heal there, I thought I could also use earthquake using that rule, but clearly it doesn't. How do you do that?

talking about Group Heal, there's no such option as if more than 1,2,3 allies have health <x%, use group heal. Any option there, or do you also need to do that manually? Again, on PC, easy thing, on PS3 ... can be annoying, since the Circle Menu can take quite some extra time ;)

Usually I only set AOE spells to be used on targets "using ranged attack" or "targets at long range." Using them on "clustered" targets doesn't work quite as well and tends to result in friendly fire when enemies cluster on allies. For the point-blank aoe effects like mind blast, "surrounded by enemies" is best.

For Group Heal, I think you can use the "jump to" feature to set multiple conditions. IE, "self < x health, jump to next slot, ally < x health." I haven't really tested that, though. In practice I just use certain abilities myself rather than relying on tactics. I like to have the AI use damage-boosting abilities like Sunder Arms, Winter's Grasp, or flurry, while saving the more important abilities like Pummel, Cone of Cold, and Glyphs for manual control.

The only AOE spell that should be set on 'clustered' enemies is blood wound. Just make sure that you set a tactic slot to activate blood magic if you do that. (I usually make the slot "self health >= 75% activate mode blood magic" then have another slot as "self health <50% deactivate mode blood magic)
Also having your healer with a tatic slot telling them to use a lyrium pot is a good idea. Either that or set another mage to use rejuvanate.
