Do you want to manually enter and exit your ship in ME3?

I was sorely missing in ME2.
IMMERSION.
This was for various reasons, including but not limited to, using the
Mako on actually explorable worlds and being able to actually get out
and look around, being able to use elevators instead of stupid loading
screens, the lack of stupid STUPID mission complete screens, being able
to actually leave and return to my ship on my own instead of "Press F to
end mission!"
All these little things contributed to really take me out of the
experience and instead make me feel like I was playing a game, instead
of playing an experience.
So since it would be impossible to make an efficient poll for all those
things I listed, I will only ask this:
Would you like to be able to leave and return to your ship on your own,
without the use of a shortcut?
This doesn't mean the shortcut would be gone, it would still be there,
for useful times like at the end of a mission where you either arent
docked or are deep into a level, making it inconvenient or impossible to
walk back onto your ship.
But this would allow you to enter and exit your ship without having to
fly off every single time and redock just because you got back on your
ship, as well as having that nice "The commanding officer is aboard"
ships computer message that could be voiced by EDI and fleshed out with
her personality to make it even more epic.

I want them back and squad chat but I also want there to be an option to skip them via a button if you load faster than the elevator.
2) Manually Entering the Ship
Same deal as with elevators. Also who is the XO? Miranda? I personally would like to choose my XO and give people certain extra duties on the ship.
3) Mako exploration
No, ME4 yes but ME3 I want a sense of urgency and great threat for immersion not Shepard taking time out to roam around a planet for no good reason
4) Mission summaries
Remove them completely, instead make it so each squad member can give you their opinion of the last mission and if you want a detailed report well that's why you have an XO.

Yeah i agree with you, even though for the planet exploration thing, I think we could both have our way, all it would take is for Bioware to make more missions like Bring Down the Sky in ME1, where the mission is critical and it lets you do planet side exploring which is awesome.
Also, yeah your fourth point is right on the money, after important missions the whole team in ME1 gets in the conference room and talks about it, lets you know what they think etc.
Anyone who thinks that a "mission complete" screen is better than that needs to check if they took their meds today

That's a great idea!Bamboozalist wrote...
Oh I would also like to add I want to see just more than Elevators as forms of loading. Things like cabs and air cars with conversations would be nice to or doors that take a while to open because of pressure equalization. Realistically ME1 elevators were good but there were way too many of them in terms of transitions. Get creative with your dynamic loading.

Showing Shepard walk to the door is no more necessary then showing him take a crap. They both happen, we do not need to see either.

And you should also be able to change it at the same menu you select "swap out squadmember".

Exploration could still be done without ruining the sense of urgency, urgently seeking the artifact needed to fire the Jo Bloggs cannon while being chased by Reaperettes for example. Though if exploring worlds is still a big no no then it could still be included in the main missions. Remember in ME1 when you had to chase after Saren and drive through the Conduit? Just think how cool that sequence would have been in the Collector ship!

Jokes aside, the airlock issue wouldn't be so outrageous in ME2, if you didn't have to re-dock each time after the game automatically teleported you from a hub-station level to the Briefing/Comm Room cutscene.

I don't equate that to exploration, exploration is...exploring, when you explore you don't have a set goal, you're looking to discover new crap. If you're using a vehicle to go on a mission that's not exploring. Virmire and Ilos werent exploring.

I would prefer to be able to just walk up to the ship door and request a crewmember, i liked that ME2 feature.
Seriously hate in ME2 having to watch the ship fly away from omega/citadel etc when all i wanted to do was a minor gear change

I also agree that the "Mission Complete" screens should be completely removed. They simply don't fit into an RPG video game, they are very good for shooters and strategy games, just not for RPGs.

But something that is even more preferable to me, is some goddamn exploration. Some in this thread want it completely cut, and i can't fathom why. If you feel there is a sense of urgency, DON'T EXPLORE! For people who like to take their time in a marvelous game, however, there should be some kind of non-mission exploration.

I wouldn't mind a massive epilogue with tons of exploration but not during a war.

Wel you might aswell cut all side quests out of ME aswell, most have no relevance to the plot at all, and is essentially wasting time. And Omega, that strip club that people only go to to have fun. And any other places of leisure. This is still a videogame, and in video games, fun is usually had. I don't want to be put into a linear storyline with nothing else to do, like Mafia 2.
