Elevators can stay gone, but I would like to have manual entry and exit from the ship for the times when I'm doing more than one mission on a planet. It's just silly to recruit Mordin, launch into space, and then land back at Omega to pick up Archangel.

The obvious problem with this is the window views, of course. I don't know how hard it would be to come up with an appropriate scene out the various windows in the ship. Covering up the windows would have been even worse for, say, Samara and Miranda's convos.

Personally I'd be more than thrilled if the whole Normandy took on a Hornbloweresque theme about it, complete with a junior bridge officer, an Ensign perhaps who is there purely for comedic effect, for example:

EDI: "Shepherd, Ambassador Udina is requesting docking clearance"

Shepard: "Marines prepare to repel boarding action, Mr. Jiles, forward batteries and torpedo tubes one and four if you please..."

That...would...be...AWESOME!!! :o  I second this proposal!

For civilized places like the Citadel, sure.

For Omega I can actually understand that. Omega is well...Omega and a docked ship is kind of a sitting target, if I was Shepard I would order the Normandy out of dock the second it dropped us off.

1) Elevators

I want them back and squad chat but I also want there to be an option to skip them via a button if you load faster than the elevator.

2) Manually Entering the Ship

Same deal as with elevators. Also who is the XO? Miranda? I personally would like to choose my XO and give people certain extra duties on the ship.

3) Mako exploration

No, ME4 yes but ME3 I want a sense of urgency and great threat for immersion not Shepard taking time out to roam around a planet for no good reason

4) Mission summaries

Remove them completely, instead make it so each squad member can give you their opinion of the last mission and if you want a detailed report well that's why you have an XO.

THIS
But Mako doesnt have to be used just for exploring, it can be used during a mission like on virmire in ME1, that how Mako should be used.

I would rather have all of the above as opposed to loading screens which made me more frustrated. The transition screens IE the Scanner before you entered the ship, the short cut scene when leaving a planet on the mako to get back on the ship, and the elevators. All of these added a larger immersion factor and didn't take one out of the "experience". When they were taken out and the load screens were added it felt more like a game and the immersion was lost. I hope ME3 does away with Loading screens at least the transition types mentioned before gave you something to look at that was relevant to the story without taking you out of the experience.

Commanding officer is aboard, and approves. This should not even be in question, as there is no downside to it.
