I recently downloaded ME1 from LIVE and I've found a pain in the ass bug that I've tested now on multiple characters...
Whenever I unlock and then point a point in Stasis to be able to use it, Stasis appears on my power bar, but makes another power disappear. I tested this on multiple characters and it did it everytime. It only does it when actaully aquiring the ability not just unlocking it.
Is there any patch or weird trick I can do to undo this pain in the ass espically since the power it removed was maxed out....

This is a known bug. As you say, take a bonus power when you already have a certain number, and one will disappear. Sometimes it's the bonus power, but I guess it was something else in this case. (IIRC only certain classes, like Adept and Sentinel, start with enough powers to run into the bug.)

Ahh, thank you for the info. I've restarted my Sentinel now...I'm not going to touch Stasis lol

Yeah, unless you're happy losing a random power, stick to something that doesn't give you an extra power bar ability. (Weapon skills are always safe, since they all use the same slot for their power.)
Apparently, a workaround is to map the quick-power button to the power that you know will disappear when you take the bonus power. The power that disappears will still be accessible via the quick power button. (RButton I think?) This is a bit shaky though, since if you ever accidentally re-map, you'll end up stuck just like you did before...
