Jacob, naturally.
uh. . .
um. . .
Er, hate Miranda on a personal level, but she has interesting story potential. Does Liara count? Because my favorite Shepard who recruited her last before Ilos and never spoke to her outside of the mandatory post mission brief, being forced to act like her best friend warrants her death in my eyes.
And if I get rid of Samara can I keep Reave? Pretty please? If not than it would have to be Jack, Vanguard is my favorite class and she's redundant, even though I do like her. Really, I like all the characters.

Zaeed - His personality doesn't mesh well with my Shep.
Samara/Morinth - As some have said, I just never got that hooked on their respective storylines, thus making the character a footnote on my playthroughs.
Grunt - He's a poor replacement for Wrex and he will always be compared to him.
I'll have my Shep go to Samara/Morinth and say that Zaeed is doing either illegal things down in his little room, or that he thinks he can handle Morinth in the sack. I'll let Grunt know that Zaeed called him a "Quarian with a tummy ache." I'll leave all three of them down there until they've killed each other, stick their remains in the trash compactor and space 'em. Nice and clean.

Thane - He's going to die anyway.
Jack - Liable to blow up at the drop of the hat and start a massacre.
Zaeed - Money will buy his loyalty.. until a higher bidder comes by.
That said, I really like Thane and Zaeed, but I think these three make the most sense if you had to pick three to die. Thane is useless if he's dead, which as established is inevitable. Zaeed is a mercenary. As badass as he is, trusting him is stupid.
Then there is Jack. Even when she is loyal, opened up, and good close pals with Shepard, that doesn't convince me she isn't going to have some episode remembering her messed up past and start killing everybody. She's exactly the kind of person I expect to wake up not remembering anything the night before surrounded by corpses she is responsible for.

Jacob, Zaeed, aaaaaaand....hmmmm....
Nah, I really like everyone else. Can't stand Jacob or Zaeed.
Firstly, I've never cared for Jacob's self-important interruptions and sh!tstirring during briefings (rude to Tali, tries to push you into spacing Legion, and has an attitude towards Thane).
The best thing that Jacob can do is offer a vital upgrade for the SR2 - if it weren't for the fact that I'm a (borderline) compulsive completionist, he'd be killed during the SM.
Secondly, Zaeed is just downright ugly and irritating.

Jacob, because there's enough humans on the crew already and there are others who are better at everything he does. I am a little curious to see if anything would develop between him and Kasumi though.
Jack, because she's obnoxious. I let her take the second fire team and get killed because she thought she could do better than Miranda. Her only saving graces are that Zaeed, one of my favorite characters, likes her and that she suggested taking the Normandy and going pirate.
Thane, because he's dying anyway. I did keep him alive in my play-through though.

Couldn't kill anyone tbh. They're my crew, they all lived through the suicide run so they better all live in ME3. I really hope we can keep Thane alive somehow, I like his character. Grunt will never beat Wrex in coolness but then again, it's Wrex, hardly fair to compare them

Kasumi, Thane, Samara.
Kasumi due to me hating theft and thieves with a passion. Also I am still angered by the fact she was taken out of the final release of ME2 to be made paid DLC. So I take great pleasure in having her die.
Thane is a mercy killing.
Samara I do not trust as she says when I recruit her if I break any Asari law during our missions she will kill me when her oath to me is done.
Only my Fem Shep Adept and Male Shep Infiltrator had the above live as those 2 are my purest of Paragon playthroughs.

If I had to choose I think I would go with Jacob, Zaeed, and thane.
Don't get me wrong I think each as their own story potential but I didn't use any of them for long. Jacob was a little whinny useless character. His loyalty mission was a big flop for me and the dialog he brings to the table is rather bland. He could be used as Reaper target practice for all I care.
Zaeed.... His loyalty mission made me want to kill this fool! I play paragon most of the times and my shep would have gunned him down for blowing that crap up. Useless dialog and no character progression. But that is the fault of all the DLC characters.
Thane is a good storyline. No in fact it could be a great storyline but using him as a squad mate is like getting told your going to the candy store, and when you get there all they have is mints. Sure mints are great but you want a bit of variety in your choices. Bland combat style for a assassin of his skill and dies super easy!

Jack: I found her obnoxious on pretty much every level.
Jacob: Almost as obnoxious as Jack, and just the way his lips move looks ridiculous
Thane: Just never used him much, wouldn't be missed.
Even though I like Tali and Garrus, their (potential) participation in the whole trilogy means their death purely for storytelling purposes would be fine with me: they're ideal for the role of 'supporting character the audience gets attached to who is killed off to to add emotion and drama to the story'.
Assassins are cool, though?

Jacob: I really dont like him.
Jack: Not as bad of a character as Jacob, just not my thing.
Zaeed: Dont like him very much,
Miranda: The game goes to too much effort with her, and probably to much money, for something that does not do anything to improve her character or the game, she has potential for growth but they made her borderline indestuctable in the last mission which tipped the scale against her in the running for the final slot.

Jack: Hate that "badass cause I had it bad" bit unless it's done right. She sounded too much like she was trying to prove it. Intentional I know, but still irritates me.
Miranda: You were not made perfect.
Jacob: ...zzzzz

Would probably be Miranda, Jacob and Grunt if I really had to space 3 to save the rest.
Some of the new characters just feel like pointless replacements of what we had in ME1 (Miranda vs Ashley, Jacob vs Kaidan, Grunt vs Wrex, Samara vs Liara) and I prefer the ME1 characters over the ME2 ones in almost all cases (Wrex or Grunt? Is that even a choice, seriously? Samara vs Liara might be the harder of the bunch, because Samara is actually a very nice character but when it comes down to it, bye Samara, hi Liara ;-) )
I can't stand Miranda, she's got an interesting story but she ain't someone I would want to have around irl either.
Jacob's just not interesting enough compared to all the alien cultures and people with weird issues, though I kinda like him as a person, he's the kind of guy you want to go have a beer with after a tough mission.
And Grunt while cool is just absolutely uninteresting, he doesn't even have a past...

If I'd have been asked after my first game Jack. But I found she worked really well with my engineer and the Paragon romance is the icing on the cake of her growth as a character.
