If I had to kill off three of them I'd stop playing the game and sell it for credit at Gamestop. Would be a lame-o repeat of ME1.

Probably Jack, Jacob, and Grunt (although I didn't dislike any of them, they just weren't as awesome as the others).

The three I definitely wouldn't kill off would be Thane, Mordin, and Legion.

After my first play through it would have been Mordin but his singing made me lmao. So I would probably kill off jack since most of my play throughs usually end with her telling me to **** off all the time...

Zaeed, because he has no dialogue wheel. Booo. Jacob, because I don't like his manufactured "bromance" and he's boring. Thane, because his sulking becomes tiresome.

Mordin yah the science would be missed but come on aint like he aint going to kill off the whole crew with his insane experiments. then

Jack everytime u talk to her shes ****ing whinning, yah in like a bass ass way but its always bout her. the

Zaeed well he goes for killing insent ppl just to get his target.

Legion (couldn't there be a way to restore him into a disable Geth we found along the way later on?)
Thane (unless there is a likelihood of a cure, he's dying within a year anyway )
Jacob (doesn't really come across as someone with a lot to live for and he's probably volunteer for another suicide mission)

Miranda, Jacob and... the last one would be really really hard, because I love the rest of the crew. Probably a tossup between Zaeed or Samara, even though I quite like them both.

(Also depends on the situation... if it was the most noble and self-sacrificing of deaths, I'd be almost tempted to sacrifice Mordin or Thane, because although they're my favorite characters, it would be a very bittersweet and dramatic way for them to die, especially since Mordin is old, Thane is dying, and both are trying to redeem themselves in some way)

Miranda cause I think she's a Cerberus b**ch
Jacob cause he's just a boring "stereotype_soldier_101"
Jack cause I don't like "I'm a victim and powerful b**ch, hell yeah" girls.
Zaeed cause I don't like "I'm a badass mercenary who gives up everything for revenge."
Samara cause she and her code is annoying and common sense dictates you STOP spawning Ardat-Yakshi after the first one. That and her code compells her to kill me anyway so..Yeah rather have that space left for another partymember.

Fortunately and unfortunately, I think that every ME2 companion will at best have a cameo in ME3. I would want Tali, Legion, Mordin and Grunt to return but that probably won't happen since they can all die at the end of ME2. Which means the resources and money are better dedicated towards companions they know did not die, rather than making so many alternates they all feel hollow or take away from other content.

It would completely depend on my playthrough, for my actual (What I consider) cannon playthrough though....

Jacob Taylor: What an ***hole... Was glad to see him die.
Samara: SO BORING! The game seems so much more lively now that she's dead.
Zaeed Massani: Killing innocents to further your own goals? Not on my watch you don't! BURN ZAEED! BURN!!! (He actually died holding the line, a much nobler death than I could have granted him.)

In Mass Effect 3, I don't necessarily want to kill these people off, but if I needed to do it to save others:
Mordin Solus: A much beloved member, if he died the dramatic effect would really be there.
Thane Krios: Dying of his Kepral's Syndrome... Sad...
Kasumi Goto: Very sad if she dies.
Jack: I know Jack has a soft side, so I'd be sad to see her die without living a happy life for once.

People I will sacrifice everything to save:
Liara T'Soni: I love Liara!
Garrus Vakarian: My Shepard and Garrus are bros for life! Knuckle touch!
Grunt: While at first I saw him as merely a Wrex replacement, Grunt is an entirely different character. He, like Garrus, is one of my homies, bros for life!
Urdnot Wrex: While he may not be in my squad, he'll almost certainly be in the fight against the Reapers, Wrex was a homie back in Mass Effect, so I have to save him in number three.
Tali'Zorah vas Normandy: Tali was with me from the beginning and pulled me onto the Normandy when the Collector Base exploded.
The Council: I want to save them just to be able to say: "I thought you dismissed that claim councilor."

Zaaed- I don't end up using him very much, so if he were to get called away on some other mercenary mission, I wouldn't be heart broken.

Samara/Morinth- You either have a warrior who is ready to face their maker having acheived their only purpose in life... or a person who can only serve the purpose of killing people until she too dies.

Grunt- I don't hate him, but I'm not all that attached to him. I am still curious what he was designed for exactly.

Funnily enough 3 people died on my MainShep file.

Zaeed was killed while leading the fire team.

Jack was killed by the seekers.

Samara was killed while escorting the crew to the Normandy.

Jacob: Lame story, crap in combat

Tali: most boring LI,only any good for Drone spam

Thane: lame, should've traded him for Kolyat (more life, room to grow)

Samara - It's her or me and I'm disinclined to it being me.

The others are a little tougher.

Jack - power without control is never a good thing, also probably not going to be happy with me for siding with Cerberus (giving them the intel, keeping the base, siding with Miranda)

and

Jacob - his moral compass could get in the way of subjugating the Council races under my new Coalition (Cerberus, Quarians, Geth, Krogan)

Thane: Because I think he needs a good send-off rather than dying an ignominous, drawn out death by disease.
Garrus: Let's face it, besides a bit of dry humor, he doesn't do much.
Jack: Whether you work for Cerberus or not in ME3, I think she wouldn't be a good person to have around, especially if Miranda is still around. Let's face it: Miranda, whether your Cerberus-loyal or she's resigned from Cerberus alongside you, is a better character to have. More stable, and quite frankly, less juvenile. Jack has her reasons for acting that way, but quite frankly it doesn't help on the crew.
The reasons I chose to keep the others:
Zaeed: If he carries over to ME3, he's good to have on your team as a soldier.
Kasumi: as boring as she is with her comments, she beats the crap out of people, popping up out of invisibility one place than the other.
Jacob: Honestly, I'd kill him too, but he's also a good guy to have when you need biotics. (Unless you're an Adept yourself).
Legion: Emissary to the Geth. Need I say more?
Tali: Same as Legion, except as one to the Quarians.
Grunt: Krogan Emissary. Or have we forgotten the Shaman's warning? I think Wrex would have to support the Shaman's statements if we let Grunt die.
Samara/Morinth: Samara would be a good emissary to either the Matriarchs or the Justicars. As for Morinth, well, it'd be good to turn our enemies on their allies, or even have her 'dominate' the Turian Councilor. (Smirks) Truthfully, Morinth is useless if you have her ability as your bonus power.
Mordin: Might be a possible route to the STG.
Miranda: She's more interesting as a character, and she clearly has an arc. I think her father's going to show up. Maybe the merc's were just talkin', but anyone else hear the whole 'richest man in the galaxy' bit on Illium?

As for crew from the old Normandy I'd let back on: Wrex and Liara. The VS can kiss my ***.

Jack- I just don't like her, reminds me to much of brittney spears

Samara/Morinth- They were both alright, however you said pick 3 and out of the rest I like them the least.


Quick Edit: Why does everyone hate/want to kill off Thane and Garrus? Thane for some reason reminds me of James Bond and with Garrus, it'd be like killing off your best friend since 2nd grade.

Decided to add the 4(because I couldn't pick 3) people I wouldn't kill off:

Garrus: He reminds me of that best friend you have had since 2nd grade that you just really bond with.

Miranda: Come on, every hero needs a woman to save from time to time and fall in love with, she just seems to fit the role perfectly. Plus she's pretty interesting and I heard the "richest man in the galaxy" thing as well LordAnguis.

Legion: How can anyone want to kill him off? First off he is pretty BA and he reminds me somewhat of a loyal pet that will forever help you and stick with by your side.

Mordin: To me he seems like one of those guys you don't really miss until he's gone and you realize "oh crap he was actually really important". His constant talking I find funny and enjoyable and plus he is a genius scientist.
