Now before I start, I just want to say this to the people who are killing off Jacob. You are making a big mistake. Yes he isn't that interesting. Yes he is blander than something that is bland (too tired to think of something right now), and yes, he is easily one of the weaker squadmates, BUT! he is loyal. easily one of the most loyal squadmates you have. he values shepard as a friend, and him speaking his mind gives him glimpses of a backbone.
It's refreshing to see someone defending Jacob. I don't agree with your reasons, though, as I think you're giving his personality and build too little credit. But I appreciate the sentiment.
I like all of the ME2 squadmates, so picking ones to die is difficult. I decided to base my choices primarily off of gameplay.
1)
Legion. I don't particularly care for Bioware's trend of making bad guys into good guys. It adds depth, but sometimes you just want an enemy that you can fight without worrying about your conscience. When the geth suddenly gained a voice, and a charismatic one at that, I was a little disappointed, even though I knew I shouldn't have been. Oh, and his build is awful.
2)
Tali. Sorry, Tali, but I can open boxes without you now. Oh, and your build is awful.
3)
Grunt. I never use him. He can tank well enough, even on higher difficulties, but getting him into position is annoying. It's no fault of his. I like Grunt as a character, just like Legion and Tali. But he doesn't complement my playstyle well.
