Honestly i would only really care to keep four: Garrus, Grunt, Tali, and probably Miranda. The rest I dont not use nor care for. There is just way to many squad mates to care for each individually so i end up picking just a couple.

Before I get started, I'm not liking the hate for Jack here.
I dunno, I could never bring myself to hate Jack. She always came across as a tragic victim to whom I could only feel warmth and truthfully, were it not for my undying love for <3Ashley<3, she'd be my LI. Screw the haters.

Anyway, if I had to pick three... that's a hard one actually. I always find something in each one to like, so it's hard for me to decide who lives and who dies. Let it be clear, I let everyone live every time. But still, here are my picks:

1. Thane, he's lived a life of sin and he's close to the end. I think dying in a noble mission to save the galaxy is a good way to go, better that dying of sickness in a hospital bed, just waiting until you fall into that final sleep.

2. Jacob, I feel guilty having to say I don't like him considering how lonely he is in terms of fandom but while I can defend Jack, I can't defend him. Because you can't defend complete lack of character, if he has a noble death though, that's something he can be remembered for.

3. Miranda. Honestly, I just never really liked her all that much and her femme fatale thing irritated me after a while. Besides, I'm sure everyone else on the team resents her because of how hard she is to get killed in the suicide mission (disloyal, and used in the wrong way and she still somehow lives!). Fair's fair Miss Lawson, you need to be able to die as well.


So yeah, those are my picks. But really, I'd rather not let anyone die. I love them all in their own special way.

Hmm. This is tough. Killing off anyone would go against my nature, but if I absolutely have to...



1) Zaeed. His recklessness could lead to some serious problems. He's a good soldier, but his skill doesn't make up for his views in my eyes.



2) Jacob. I just never used him, and I never really liked him. I didn't hate him either, but I think I liked him the least out of everyone else. So he can go.



3) Hmmmmmmm. I really don't know. I almost want to say Jack for the same reason as Zaeed; she's far too reckless. But I feel like she's more loyal to me, and less of a problem. I guess Thane, because I can't help but feel like he wants to die.

(1) Jack. She's a great deadpan snarker during missions and..."respects" Shepard, but if you've talked to her in the hold, you know she's too dangerous to let live.

(2) Zaeed. I agree with Vido on one thing: Zaeed is a mad dog. He brought down an entire turian frigate, killing God knows how many crewmembers, and when he gets into a vengeful mood, as he did on Zorya, he loses all control. "Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent." I really like Zaeed as a fighter and his stories are fun to listen to, but if I have to choose three squadmates to kill, Zaeed is one.

(3) Jacob. I actually quite like Jacob: he fades into the background compared to some of the interesting squaddies you pick up, but he totally bro's out with Shepard near the end. However, since we have to pick three to die, Jacob is the one I reluctantly pick, for no other reason than he doesn't have a family waiting for him, whereas some of the others on this list I could have picked do.

Zaeed and Jack have to go! Can't stand either of them. I didn't even want Jack on my team. I was so glad when I was able to put a vest on her. Zaeed, I never even gained his loyalty - the jerk.

I don't have Kasumi, so I don't know if I like her yet. I want Liara back on my team in ME3, but I hope her attitude improves.

Reasons for:
-Death:
Zaeed: He's a merc.  Might be a badass, but he's only in it for the money.
Thane: He's going to die within a year anyway.
Jacob: Never really connected with him anyway .

-Sparing:
Miranda: She still has a sister to protect from her father.
Mordin: Is a freaking medical genious. I want those upgrades
Garrus: Bro's till we die
Jack:  Wouldve been top of the list, but I've just romanced her, and she has a soft squishy side.
Grunt: Not as close a bro as Garrus, but he is the "perfect" krogan.
Kasumi: That greybox has a big secret.  That, and i want all of the gossip.
Legion: I want the Geth to integrate to the galactic society.
Tali: To help the Quarians to find a homeworld peacefully (old or new).
Samara: She is a very wise asset to the team.

Note: I have only had Morinth once, but she would be at the top of the death list.

Jack: Because she's the least sensible mandatory recruit for the squad (Grunt can be kept in his tank, Mordin's needed and Garrus is not as unstable and Cerberus-hating as her)

Miranda - she becomes bit more human and less arogant robot, after Shepard helps her save her sister, still.. she's annoying as hell. And on top of it, she thinks she's Shepards second in command - she's not.
Jacob - he's not that bad.. But I don't like him enough to keep him around.
Thane - he's going to die anyway.. Right  ?

Zaeed because he seems to not realize that I am his own personal God / Goddess and that my whim is all that's keeping him out of the trash compactor. And I just don't trust him. And he's a git.
Jacob because he's just so trusting. I don't trust people who are that instantly trusting.
Grunt. I know, sacrilegious, he rocks in combat but... if a guy tells me enough times that he plans to kill me, I refuse to play the goody goody hero who eventually looks up in horror 'you.. you did it - how.. how could you.. I loved you best of all..'.
[Edit to add saves]: Show Jack and Thane some love.  I can see Jack really coming out of her shell and learning to be human again, and Thane has the Best conversation cut-scenes.  I love when his eyes go all er.. more dark!  I hope I can save him from his.. er.. whatever it was.. boneitis thing in ME3.  And Legion.  Because again.. snipers gotta stick together, but also because if He likes me then that's a million little geth who all like me.  And if He obeys orders to shoot someone.. Tee hee.  
As for Miranda.. eh.  If I have to hear one more time 'I am so much more perfect then everyone, look at my pretty Barbi-figure..  Get over yourself, you are not that cute, you just have big breasts that will likely lead to future back-problems.  *If* I don't use you for cannon fodder we'll look into reduction surgery after the war is over.
