In my opinion, the sex scene from ME1 stands out as one of the best sex scenes in any video game. It tops many sex scenes from certain movies, even. The sideboob shot remained within bounds of tastefulness and it was altogether excellent to watch.

Hence, I was expecting a lot when it came to ME2, especially given the fact that there were at least six romance options.

However, all we got were a bunch of dry humping scenes. The scene with Jacob was particularly awful. Miranda's scene was the best, but it still doesn't top the scene with Ashley/Liara in ME1. I know, they wanted to be kid-friendly and Fox News controversy-proof, but regardless, most of the people playing ME are either in their late teens and older. We know what sex is like. In fact, some of us actually have experienced it. Hence, just give us... something similar in ME3, BioWare.

Final disclosure: I am 19, and I am still a virgin, but I do understand the mechanics of sex fully.

I find it weird that it's okay to curse, show guts, and demon boobs, but it's wrong to show a side boob of a normal looking woman.

I agree about the weirdness. We can see a monster boobs screeching, beheadings, people choking to death on poison but side boob is "WOAH! Can't do that now!"

They let ME3 be modifiable like Dragon Age so you can have implicit sex, because f it why not, it's not like porn exists.

I agree with you about the greatness of the ME1 love scene... but in ME2, I like the diversity. Some romance scenes are almost solely romantic, while others are more sexual.

ME2's fully clothed sex scenes were jarringly unrealistic and really took me out of the otherwise masterfully realized adult themes of the game. Sex scenes in line with ME1 would be perfect. Not fully explicit, but infinitely more fitting than the clumsy, awkward, fully clothed grinding we were given in ME2.

I like the ME2 scenes because they were all different. The ME1 scenes were basically all the same thing except Liara gets an extended scene. I enjoyed the variety of the ME2 scenes(I only saw one so far but because of spoilers I basically know what happens in all of them anyways). So I guess in ME3 if they can make the scenes all unique to the characters like in ME2 but show some nudity like ME1 then that might be the best solution?

But seriously, I understand why the ME2 scenes were tamed down, but, frankly, FOX is gonna be FOX. They like having something to get outraged about. I'm not going to talk about them any further, but to say that the core audience of the game LIKES the romance/love scene stuff, and you can see stuff more explicit on daytime soap operas or evening shows like FOX's own 90210.



My request is that the scenes be at least as sexy as a show you can see on primetime, maybe a little more... this is rated MA, right?

Bioware just needs to find a happy medium between the ME1 scenes and the ME2 scenes. I liked the variety of the scenes in 2; each character had their own scene that differed from the others. However, the ME1 scene was much more tasteful and felt more.....real, I guess? The ME1 scenes gave the impression that Shepard felt something for the character he/she was with. Some of the ME2 scenes just felt like Shepard was horny and the choice of partner was more out of convenience and lust than anything else. There are exceptions, of course, but I'm just speaking generally.



They need to find a way to give us meaningful encounters with the LIs and still make them unique to each character, IMO. Also, losing this fear of nudity would go a long way as well. There's no need for smut or gratuitous nudity, but please don't pull a "Dragon Age granny panties/man thong" thing on us.

Which is funny because they're rated M for 17+.  Failure of parents to heed the warnings when buying stuff for their kids should not result in censored content for those of us who are of age and bought the game thinking they'd get an actual M-rated experience.

And like I mentioned, the ME1 love scene wasn't more explicit than than stuff you can watch on Desperate Housewives or NYPD Blue.

On my ME2 collectors edition it says 15, which did throw me a little since ME1 is rated 17, the sex scenes do need to be better but not nessacarily explicit, I prefere those of ME1.

I didn't think ME2 had any "sex scenes", so to speak. They were more like intimate scenes with more emotional contact than physical contact.

I don't know if I'm making any sense here, but basically the ME2 scenes were different and yet well done in their own right, just like the ME1 ones were well done in their own right. The only notable difference is the concept of the scenes in both games.
