Varrick´s running animation needs work, and didn´t like the skill and character icons. It also seems to confirm a minor problem I expected: doing a really badass looking attack on a mook and doing about 1/5 damage kinds of takes away from it.

About spells, is the AoE going to remain only a circle?

There are probably still cone AOE abilities as well, if that's what you mean.

This video is such a great response to fan's concerns, it's awesome, can't believe Bioware could make this game even better!

And fights will be a lot more fun if characters move like that, especially rogues!

I find myself a little amused that Varric apparently plays WoW, his AoE attack appears to be inspired by his hunter.

That was my favourite part.

I think the animation is as intended (i.e. Adorable)

*sits on his throne, drinks from his chalice the tears of days gone by*

What happened to the "lol hack & slash"? Doesn't this video prove exactly what we "BDF" have been trying to say?

*sips from his chalice*

I'm excited. The combat and tactics look a lot more engaging than Origins.

It proves that tactics are optional.

Perhaps they need to tone the Rogue's animations down a tad, but overall I'm pleased. Rogue feels quick and agile, and I like how they use a smoke bomb to distract their enemies while moving into a better position.

The only thing I would humbly request is more information (videos if they are willing) on each of the classes and how their abilities are executed.

Proves that the PC version is nothing but a lame console port.-------

They always were?  At least one of my DA:O playthroughs was exactly like the first part of the video.  Except less responsive.

Why does the combat look jerky to me? Doesn't seem smooth. I am not liking the teleporting rouge thing. Back flip seems silly looking also. Maybe I can live with the back flip. But the rouge magic puff of smoke thing. I don't know.

Not liking the interface much. I will try to watch it again later to see if I see it in a different light.

For some reason I can't get videos on their website to work, is there a youtube link yet?

Exactly. It's just packed with character.

I liked the mage and warrior too, I thought the staccato movements worked really well. Lots of definition to everything.

I'm still somewhat in the "bit too much crazy-flippy-ninja" camp when it came to the rogger, but it certainly stood out.

There are indeed. The new cone targeting marker is styled similarly to the new circle targeting marker.

He seems to have problems in his legs or back to me.

AoE, I meant circle vs runed circle from Origins.

Hope is an early build, graphics need a lot of work. I´ve seen full open area games looking better.

I would like this too.

a short video focusing on each class in combat.

kind of like the class trailers for ME2..........

at this point, all I am waiting for is gameplay vid of mages in melee combat.

Indeed, the last thing anybody needs is rouge that moves from person to person.

Wait so I'm wrong? The textures are high res and the FOV big, as any PC game should?

Give me a break. Reeks of console porting.

DAO had bad texturing and small linear level design as well.  Bioware usually makes their games so that 5 year old rigs can run them.  DA2 doesn't look any different in that regard than DAO does to me.
