Quite a lot in common from what we know of them.  Cute, awkward, etc.  Her fans make that comparison, too.

Don't know why it's necessary to disparage any group of fans, though.  You always paint with too broad a brush when you do that.  Fenris generates a lot of interest- so what?

Even if Fenris does turn out to be a jerk, that doesn't mean he won't have fans.  Just look at Bishop from Neverwinter Nights 2 (and mind you, Bishop wasn't even a redeemable jerk).  In my experience, people can be very forgiving of a conventionally handsome/beautiful face.

Yes but their fanbases are similar thus why i compared mancer rather than character.
And i doubt varric has 1000 pages+ he was first companion revealed so he got majior boost aswell.

And we know nothing about merril other than she is a blood mage, not very Tali like.

Well, I liked Morrigan, so probably.  But of course with the new rivalry system I can give him a proper dressing down (why yes, that is a double entendre) without having to worry about him leaving or curtailing a possible romance.  We'll see when the game comes out.  It all kind of depends on how he reacts to the Hawke I've got planned. 

I liked Morrigan as well, but i hate Male jerks.
So i'm expecting not to like him, hope i'm wrong though. Although he probaly hates mages so we might get along in one way.

That's a big reason why I want him to be a jerk somehow. If he's not then he and my do-gooding, altruistic Hawke will be too similar and there'd be no conflicts, so no interest for me. And I can't bear to be jerk characters myself. I want there to be a good reason to fight with him and say "How DARE u! *slap*" Or something. :innocent:

(except in the case of Anders, who I just want to hug and tell him everything's going to be okay <3)

I'm not that familiar with ME fandom, but the interaction with Jacob had a lot more problems than just one scene.

I don't really care.  I like a variety of characters, popular or not, how does that matter?

I'm not that familiar with ME fandom, but the interaction with Jacob had a lot more problems than just one scene.

I simply Comparing the two, that's why it matters. 
And jacob was boring, but without the Love scene he would have atleast been able to maintain some kind of following as the stable guy.

thats quite an imagination. It could be possible considering that talented slaves are highly valued in The tevinter Imperium. Although that wouldnt explain the expirements with the lyrium.

Well, if he does dislike mages, that will just add some flavor to my mage playthrough. I couldn't really stand playing a mage in DAO, but it seems a bit less clunky somehow in 2, so I may make mage my first run through. Not decided yet. That or an archer rogue. My two 'signature' classes, more or less. Ranged DPS or magical DPS.

Well, actually, my true calling is a healer in most MMOs, but from what I read, it's not really viable in 2.
