If people want to be crybabies because they can't vicariously live out their every imagined fantasy, well, okay...let them. (That's what fanfiction is for).
They tend to forget there is always more than one playthrough.

Yeah, I was gonna say... don't give up on Fenris just yet. I mean, Anders is gonna have his obvious hang ups, too (driving his need to kill Templars is probably not a good thing, just saying). This is what the rivalry system is for, people! Rivalry =/= Hate! At the end of the rivalry line, Gaider said that the companion will come to an agreement with you.

I'm a big-time Anders fan, but I'm super excited about this news about Fenris. I love difficult and interesting dynamics. It would be pretty boring if the characters didn't have polarising attitudes that caused issues within the party, if everyone was even-handed, level-headed, sensible, and everyone got along.
So while it throws up more challenges, certainly, it will make things very interesting.
Now that you mention it, yes indeed.... mmmm....RinjiRenee wrote...
Yeah, I'm guessing that Fenris will come around... I mean...
*SPOILER though I'm sure everyone's seen it by now*
That image with the "flirting" Male Hawke? Wasn't the Hawke a mage?

Much ado about nothing it seems. I read the last five pages of the Anders thread and they're all still talking about whether he's bi or not, and a few mentions of how it'll be interesting if him and Fenris want to tear each other to bits. More than anything, I agree with others, it fits Fenris's personality and it was always a point of discussion about whether or not he'd hold a mage-wide grudge or not. I prefer him this way because makes sense in the same way that Sebastian's "vengeance, reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawrg" makes sense.Dave of Canada wrote...

I havent seen any comments saying people are not going to romance him, quite the opposite.
It was more in the other romance threads where people went to the Anders thread and stuff saying that they hate Fenris now and have to get used to Anders, however bringing that point up would be sort of offtopic so I came here instead.

Damn. I'm wondering if this will make for a Kaidan / Ashley style choice later in the game between Anders and Fenris.
Probably more like a Legion vs. Tali thing, I would guess. (I wouldn't say Jack vs. Miranda because they only didn't get along because of conflicting ****iness, whereas Legion and Tali come from fundamentally different viewpoints like Anders and Fenris).SolidBeast wrote...

I quite agree with you Minxie. Legion and Tali "fight-style" would fit more if it had to happen.Minxie18 wrote...

But you come on this thread and announce "people in this thread are so fickle"? It's especially funny because there had just been several pages of almost all of us saying we either liked the idea or were interested by it before you made your declaration.Dave of Canada wrote...

The snippets of Fenris did not show much, but he did not seem to be too bothered about Hawke being a mage. Where does this idea come from anyway, that he would have an universal scorn towards mages? Did a writer mention it or was it a guess that got popular?

Its from a review in a magazine I believe. Still, we know ander is certainly anti-templar so it makes sense that we've have an anti-mage companion as well. Fenris does seem to fit the bill. Fenris rivalry path might be trying to change his mind about mages.

And it's no more "fickle" than the people who are more interested in him because of this information
and it seemed pretty logical to me from the get go that a character who'd been tortured and manipulated by mages would have a thing or two to say about mages.
