I'm a big-time Anders fan, but I'm super excited about this news about Fenris. I love difficult and interesting dynamics. It would be pretty boring if the characters didn't have polarising attitudes that caused issues within the party, if everyone was even-handed, level-headed, sensible, and everyone got along.

So while it throws up more challenges, certainly, it will make things very interesting.

Me too, I'm really excited about seeing how much I can mess with all of their heads.  Chaos, panic, and disorder (maybe a little romance), and my work is done.

May have been posted before, but if Fenris has a hard stance against mages - they should all be made tranquil - then it's up to Hawke to change his mind. Fenris has been through hell because of a mage, but Hawke can show him not all mages are like that.

Much ado about nothing it seems.  I read the last five pages of the Anders thread and they're all still talking about whether he's bi or not, and a few mentions of how it'll be interesting if him and Fenris want to tear each other to bits.  More than anything, I agree with others, it fits Fenris's personality and it was always a point of discussion about whether or not he'd hold a mage-wide grudge or not.  I prefer him this way because makes sense in the same way that Sebastian's "vengeance, reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawrg" makes sense.

Probably more like a Legion vs. Tali thing, I would guess. (I wouldn't say Jack vs. Miranda because they only didn't get along because of conflicting ****iness, whereas Legion and Tali come from fundamentally different viewpoints like Anders and Fenris).

The snippets of Fenris did not show much, but he did not seem to be too bothered about Hawke being a mage. Where does this idea come from anyway, that he would have an universal scorn towards mages? Did a writer mention it or was it a guess that got popular?

But you come on this thread and announce "people in this thread are so fickle"?  It's especially funny because there had just been several pages of almost all of us saying we either liked the idea or were interested by it before you made your declaration.

And it's no more "fickle" than the people who are more interested in him because of this information- there's been more of that here than the reverse.  Fact is, we still don't know how it's all going to go down, and it seemed pretty logical to me from the get go that a character who'd been tortured and manipulated by mages would have a thing or two to say about mages.

Hmm, I forgot about that. I would still prefer the first option. I want to ruin somebody (even more, that is). Imagine if Fenris is really faking honesty with Hawke as some have been speculating, doing the same to him and acting like a friend (actually gaining his trust) only to betray him at the end and choose the mages. I think the friendship / rivalry system could enhance this and make things interesting.

There's a difference between having your interest in a character increase to having your interest shoot down to 0% because of the information.
