Lots of fickleness in this thread. Those who don't want to romance him anymore... you have to realize, you didn't know anything about him and all you had on the character itself was baseless ideas of how the character could be interpreted.
Hell, half of you made comparisons to Alistair. No surprise that your dreams would be crushed when reality came through the door and said "HONEY, I'M HOME!".
Fickleness is going to abound when you get fangirls of any kind, unfortunately. And I'm sure for all of the ones upset about it, there's a couple being silently pleased.
I'll be frank: the reason I first wanted to romance the character was because I found him attractive. *shrug* It boggled my mind, given my Fantastic Racism in regards to elves, but it's true. I think it's the tattoos and an unfortunate fetish for white hair from my Devil May Cry days.
Damn you, Dante.
As it stands, I'm now even more excited for the character. As a mage, I'll have a genuine foil-something I'm quite pleased about. Not only is the character pretty, but he's bound to get a rise out of me. Lovely all around.
Secretly I'm pleased he's not similar to Alistair-as much as he was awesome, it'd be boring to get repeats.
