Hm, I might make my mage Hawke sorta like Wynne: knows that mages are dangerous and Templars are trying to protect the people from abominations.

But...I sorta want to have a Rival romance with Fenris, wanting to change his views that not all mages are like Danarius but while still being a sarcastic, but good person....aaaaahhhhhh!! Too many choices!! *plans*

You aren't the only one. I didn't even last an hour. 

Without Hawke trying to sway his views, I think he would side with the templars and Chantry. Though, I have to admit, I want to see some indecision on his part if I romance him as a mage who endorses the idea of freeing mages from the Chantry's grasp, (edit) verses romancing him as a templar warrior Hawke who thinks mages are dangerous and can't handle freedom.

I went out for a few days, just long enough for the massive spoiler discussions to dye down when brought up off topicly.

I figured he would hate any oppresive organization after having fled from place to place. Although, it's entirely possible that his experience with Denerius to have modeled his reasonings and judgements.

Hmmm...well since I intend to play Rogue Hawke, it might not be as much of an issue.  But as I said earlier, anyone who tries to hand Hawke's sister Bethany over to the templars is getting an Antivan dagger in the ribs!

and of course, I meant Fenris v. Anders/Vengeance (since Vengeance has no qualms brutally killing templars), not Anders himself.  The guy likes kittens, you can't hate him.
