 This is a fanfic i wrote, because i wanted to see how fenris would reacted to F!Hawke's death. This is called Stargazer ( you will find out later why)
  STARGAZER
   PART 1- To late
   Fenris
     All I could do was watch.It was as if time slowed down. I was a good twenty yards way, at least.Isabel was closest to heer and still to far way, so Hawke was alone was as one of the four hurlocks got in a lucky shot.Running its blade through Night's leather armor,barely missing her heart, but going straight through her spine, and coming out of her chest.
     Anders was healing Aveline's arm, and both of them had there backs toward Hawke. One of the darkspewn got close to Varric and he had to resort to using a dagger to fight it off. Marril and Betheny were burning some of the monsters. I was the only on to see Night get run through.
    Night let out a scream. The voice was familer to, but the sound was not. Everyone froze and looked toward Hawke. Anders ran towards her forgetting Aveline. Marril paled, but kept casting her spell. Bethney just fraze,paled and ran toward her sister along with Anders. I ran to her as whil, unsuprising they got there first. Isabel started to shout orders like"Anders try to heal her", "Betheny help Marril burn the darkspewn","Fenris make sure no more get past," and" Aveline hepl me out here". I was not surpisedthat Isabel toke contral. She was Night Hawke's unspoken second.
       They dispathed the last of the 'spewn. Everyine was at Hawke's side in what was probly seconds, but felt to me hours. 
       I was looking at hawke but all I saw was memiors. They fisrt time we meet. Ever arument we ever had, pertuler the one we had just that morning about if we should make Bethney cook and not Marril, it would be our last arument. The first time we kissed. That first night. I reliaved something. I lo....No, I thought to myself, do not reliave somehing your feelings now, just as you are losing her. 
      "Don't go, sissy" that was Betheny's vioce shoking me out of my arugment with my head. "Don't leave me. I have lost Father, and Cravar and I can't lose you either, sissy"
      Hawke opened her mouth as if to speak. No sound came out. Only blood. Her eyes meet mine, and closed one last time.
     I was to late. I will never get to tell her
     I loved her.

And an "aversion to cats" in my mind makes me immediately think of that scene in The Mummy where he's trying to totally creep on Evelyn and he sees the cat...and proceeds to FLIP THE **** OUT and turn into a raging cloud of dust.

Fenris hating mages and wanting them to be tranquil might change when he sees what tranquillity entails. Either that or if he is one of the rivalmances there could be some funny scenes with the two of them:

Templar: You! Apostate stay where you are!

Hawke: I do not fear you Templar.

Templar: You will submit or the Order dictates that I am within my power to end yo- (the Templar looks down to find a glowing fist through his chest)

Fenris: I do apologize ser, but if anyone is going to lay hand on her, it will be me. (removes arm from the Templar's chest)

Hawke: (sarcastically) My hero.

Fenris: I wouldn't let them harm you. That's my job.

Hawke: You are such a gentleman.

Fenris: And you are a rather charming lady.

Idea: Hawke starting off on a journey and about to be gone for many years. Fenris realizing his feelings while she's leaving town. Starts to parkour across Kirkwall trying to get to her before she can leave. Asia's "Heat of the Moment" playing in the background.

@WMRina I was thinking a downplayed version of Shale and pigeons. Minus the slaughtering them everytime she got the chance aspect.
