With a maxed-out Tevinter Fugitive tree, Fenris can acquire 45% magic resistance before any other buffs or accessories. If you intend to slay plenty of staff-wielders, build him with this in mind.

Tread carefully?  Now you're maiking me even MORE interested (if that is even possible).    I really shoudln't read, I'm going to know everything before I play...but...but...

You don't have to absolutely know everything about how to recruit him, though! The guide assures that there is an autosave before an important conversation with Fenris, so even if you mess up you can reload and try other options to see what happens. 

Okay, I've read it... and damn, Fenris is going to HATE! all my Hawkes. o.o'
I don't even have to put in any effort to get rivalry points, he will immediatly hate me!

The horror! I'm so going to enjoy this.

If you watched the play through of Fenris's recruitment quest it's actually not all that spoilery and the rest shouldn't be too surprising. If you want to know exactly when and how to recruit him you may find it interesting. It looks like you can get him very early on if you choose to, which makes me happy

That's interesting. I wonder if it autosaves before most conversations? That would be nice.

thats good i was beginning to weaken and look at the guide but since i have seen that recruitment quest video, the urge to look is gone.

God now I want to play a heartless blood mage.  The possibilities for angst - out will pour a river of tears of blood. 

Still leaning toward a "Vengeance you're crazy but Fenris so are you and leave my sister the eff alone you sexy bastard" rogue, though.

I think the friend/rival/ romance systems reguards only your actions and decisions you make along the road not your class choice. If you play the demo with a different classes you'll notice that your approval with Bethany (mage) and Carver (warior) starts exactly at the same level regardles of which class you're playing and I'm pretty sure it works exactly the same with other companions you're gonna meet later on. Choosing a mage will not make Fenris "hate" you more or love you less. It might add few sharp comments every now and then but I don't think it changes anything reguarding relationship. In the end of the day it's up to you to prove him wrong and show him that not all of the mages are powercrazed loonatics  So to all of you dear Fenris fans who worry about bad consequences of being a mage don't! Just play the class you enjoy the most 
And I know...I know it's a heavy risk but the prizzzze....

We're all gonna play it a million times over anyway

I was set on the trio for my party but now after finding out how much personal stances on certain things effect relationships and maybe even team work. Fenris and Anders will HATE each other. My Hawkes choices will more than likely ****** Fenris off more though. Im wondeing just how volatile this combo will be.
Which make me want to do it even more.
