hehehe..Hopefully it will be a worthy attempt. I've already done a DA2 t-shirt and hoodie for practice (I'll put pix of those up too tomorrow)... Just imagine a big pic of Fenris smack dab across your chest!

So it seems like Fen is going to be a more 'casual' relationship LI based on what I'm reading in the spoiler thread, what with how someone found a full on guide to the game. It says he doesn't seem to respond well to declarations of love and need in the long term. I'm not really sure how I feel about this. I have never been one who 'got' the casual sex/relationship/dating thing. Dating for me, didn't happen until I had found someone who I felt had potential as a marriage partner. But then we were also friends for quite some time, first, as well. I also prefer friendship as a romance base. In these aspects, I have never much 'fit in' amongst my peers, but that doesn't trouble me. Point is, I've never really managed to play a character, either, that could just say "Oh, we aren't 'together'. We like each other well enough. We screw when we feel like it." If Fenris doesn't much go for any kind of commitment, I'm not so sure I can really be bothered with romancing him.

I think Fenris is losing some appeal for my Hawkes. This troubles me, as Anders' possession is... frankly, scary.

And no, I am not trolling. This is 100% serious issue for me.

Worry not:wizard: for you can have a relationship with Seb, and it's a chaste relationship :innocent: hopefully this means that Aveline will be a LI with a piece of DLC in the future, one can hope

I honestly doubt that Fenris is a casual-sex only romance. I would confidently predict that he's only that way at the beginning of the relationship, and he can become committed to Hawke later in the game.

I did read about Seb, and that sounds nice enough, and I do want to try to romance Anders. If you can help him at all, at least. And Justice/Vengeance. But still. Fenris. *sighs* But on the other hand, I don't want my Hawke to be 'the one that changes him', either as that's just so... treacly, as my b/f would say.

And I also hope for Aveline in the future, because I do want to try a Male Hawke (first time I'd play a male in a Bioware game) but I don't really want to romance Izzy or Merill.

I agree. I'm fine with a Fenris x Hawke relationship beginning as something causal as long as there is potential for it to deepen as the years go on….perhaps this is the climatic event before the storm hinted at. After all, it would be kind of silly for a decade to pass and your still only **** buddies.


As for the news about Sebastian, well, well, the plot thickens. Team Harem all the waaaay!

Maybe it’s possible to pursue two different relationship paths with certain characters. If you throw yourself shamelessly at some of them from the start perhaps they never taking your relationship seriously, but if you chose a different path you can become more than just casual lovers.
Or maybe it’s possible lust can turn into love with the right choices. That’s how Zevran and Morgan’s love worked.

It wouldn't bother me if Fenris was like this. I'm actually not really surprised he's not entirely responsive to declaration of loves or the typical wubsie type. Look at his background. It's not a surprise that he acts this way. Prior to DA2, wasn't it implied in his short story that he lives day to day, constantly fleeing from slavers? A man like that most likely doesn't think about long term commitments like relationships. The game takes over a span of ten years, so it's likely he can be apprehensive at first, but the more you develop your relationship with him, the more he'll accept his feelings for Hawke and finally 'settles down' (or at least the relationship changes from casual to deep).

Zevran's romance was like this and I, personally, LOVED his romance a little bit more than Alistairs. (Yes, I'm admiting it here.) So I'm even more excited over the possibities of Fenris's romance developing over the 10 year span. MMMmmm... emotional depth. <3 Plus, his expression in his revealed romance picture does not look casual to me.

In the romance section of the guide, it talked about how the stardard for "wooing" any of the companions save Seb/Izzi was flirting/doing their quest, etc and it would evolve over the years. Fenris is in the list, so I have no doubt he will be more eventually.
