I see this falling either way, really. He could become more serious and attached, or he could not. Not all of the romances in ME2 got that deep. Some did, some didn't. At least imo. Though the screenshot from Fen's love scene did seem more emotionally involved, it's still very hard to garner a lot of context from one.
I dunno. Probably overthinking it. I have to have something to overthink, as I have writer's block at the moment. If I'm not tearing my own fics to pieces, I'm tearing something else to pieces.

On that front, I have only vague fears that everything will end up gender neutral and be less immersive. But since I have not seen the romances in action, I will continue to be hopeful in Bioware's generally excellent storytelling. Were it anyone else, I would be concerned.
Other than that, it's an irrelevancy to me. I've never been a slash fangirl. I abandoned fandoms wholesale when they became too steeped in it against all reason.

It drives me away when it starts morphing the characters into nothing but fanservice. That said I do the same thing for fandoms when the Marysueness gets to a alarming level.
Ah. Harry Potter. AFter "My Immortal." I was done.

Hey My Immortal was a great fic *snorts then outright laughs* Well it was a good fic for a laugh at least.

Same.
There are reasons Maera goes quiet. There are also reasons Maera no longer writes for or reads things in the Final Fantasy VII fandom. Yes. Yes, indeed. Or Kingdom Hearts. Or why I've never been brave enough to go look on DA for some decent Avatar wallpapers because the first time I see JakexTsu'tey my rage will be indescribable. Or... hell, I could make this list very long. I will refrain from it, however.
But so far as this game goes, my Hawke = chix0r (yay, Megatokyo), and Fenris = a dude, so unless his bisexuality is flaunted in every other conversation like some characters in the past, I won't pay it any heed. But if he brings it up enough, it will agitate me. No, I would not date a bisexual in reality.* Befriend? Yes, sure. But dating a bisexual? No. I couldn't get my Hawke to do it either. It's one of those role-playing walls I can breach without losing connection to the character. If this is more of a Schrodinger's Cat type bisexuality, it's okay. If the entire crew is talking about their bisexuality, we're running into another issue altogether.
*Let it be noted before someone gets offended, that my bestest of buddies in HS was gay, and we were always having fun comparing our tastes in men. And it was great fun. I have no issues with the LGB crowd.

Having gay or even bi friends doesn't make you any less of a biphobe.

Yeah it was. The comic based off of it was gold.
Anyways I'm happy there's more Fenris for everyone. <3

This was pretty much my line of thinking when gay marriage was introduced in British Columbia, too. Never really got the opposition there, either.

Just because I won't screw someone of a certain orientation, or even height (to go back to the dwarf issue), reflects zero on what I think of them as human beings. They're all people, entitled to the same rights, happiness, and love that the rest of the world gets. I hate to see anyone downtrodden or descriminated againt. I don't know why people think that if you won't screw someone because of X reason you must be an X-ist. Sex is not the be all and end all of our existence. Really, it isn't. I know the TV likes to tell us otherwise, what with even selling car tires with scantily clad people, but still.
I just have certain things I require in my potential marriage mates. That is one of them that essentially goes against one of said requirements. If this troubles someone... I'd like to say I was sorry, but I'm not.
This is all, however, utterly irrelevant to Fenris.

Edit: This is a general you not directed to the poster I'm quoting.
Completely off topic but this is very true. No one should not slam someone for their preferences. Some people just like different things.
You may think it's a bit odd. (Like guys who refuse to sleep with any woman whose had more than 2 men) but they're entitled to their preferences like you are yours. You have no right to tell someone their preferences are wrong. I personally will only date guys that aren't homophobic, racist or extremely religious. That doesn't make it wrong...it's just what I prefer.
That said I am very glad Fenris is for the dudes.

Always meant to get Awakening, but never could find it cheap enough to warrant the buy.
I wonder about Seb. I guess he must be, too? Has anyone gotten any confirm on him yet, or is that impossible with how the DLC is probably not even up until release?

I couldn't find any where in that thread that said ALL romancable characters are bi. It only said that there would be option/s for all sexual orientations.Ninjacat513 wrote...

I hope that doesn't happen either. I already know and expect that Isabela's obvious about her sexual proclivities, but I wouldn't expect a stoic character like Fenris to be. I'd prefer the Schrodinger's Cat type of situation concerning their sexuality also. As someone else put it, that they'd be "Hawkesexual."

I suspect Merril and Fenris' sexual orientations will be left open to interpretation by the player, while Isabela (and from the spoilers, Anders) will be canonically bisexual.

It probably doesn't matter what Sebastian is that much since he won't ever get sexual with Hawke anyway.

Always meant to get Awakening, but never could find it cheap enough to warrant the buy.And the day of the Livestream when the UE was on biiig discount, I forgot to put the code in and get it until the promo was over. ._.

Seb's supposedly a chaste romance option so I don't see why he wouldn't be bi.
Though he might not be.
And Awakening. I couldn't play it for long. Broke Origins.
As for Anders
And Fenris is going to be my "Don't say that about me?"

"You're a handsome man, Hawke. I'm a slave. Does that not bother you"
"Why should it?"
"You bring up an interesting point. I shall have to...consider this."
Oh, my dear sweet Andraste.
Is that means what I think it means?
