Oh, and it says in the Gamespot review that:
What does this mean? I wonder if it is a sloth demon. *drools like a maniac* I am so going to perish from excitement before Thursday arrives! An escaped elven slave called Fenric despises his former master, who used the magical element called Lyrium to brand him with bodily markings with supernatural properties. Yet Fenric's softer side occasionally emerges, such as in a side quest in which a demon attempts to exploit his weaknesses.

Maeve always loved animals. Even as a child she would be followed home by dogs and cats alike,so neither parent was that surprised when a mabari imprinted on her. Even then she still brought animals home with her,all the while smiling her childhood smile.
When she came to Kirkwall though, she had to stop bringing animals home. There wasn't every enough room at her Uncle's for them, adding more animals would just bring trouble.
Instead she would spend every chance she got outside at the forest near the city. She would spend all day she wasn't busy running around for others with wild animals and creatures.
Today she was high in a tree, her hands out and filled with bird seed. A tiny red cardinal was in the branches above her, singing it's little heart out. She whistled back to it,trying her best to coax it over to her.
Now Maeve was a good mage, she was strong and sure with her magic, but she was never good at survival training. She didn't realize until to late that the branch she was sitting on was rotted and about to snap.
She screamed as it finally gave under her, sending her plummeting down. Maeve squeezed her eyes shut, hoping the fall wouldn't kill her.
Maeve didn't hit the ground though, her fall was stopped short by a pair of warm arms grabbing her and pressing her to a warmer chest. She blinked open her storm cloud grey eyes, and found herself staring into moss green.
Fenris.
His eyebrow was arched,a sign of amusement, and he was cradling her tenderly. Maeve felt her cheeks flush and wiggled out of his arms.
“Fenris, what are you doing here”She asked softly, fidgeting with her hair.
“I came to find you. Varric has a lead he wants to trace down”His tone was even as always, though she could hear a bit of his amusement leak into it.
“Oh! Alright! Let's go”
Maeve spun on her head and started to walk, freezing in her steps when she heard the cardinal start up with it's song again. The bird had fluttered down, and was peaking at the seeds that had scattered when she fell.
“Cheeky”She snorted, her eyes darting to Fenris when he started to laugh. She blushed again and strolled away, smiling pleasantly.
This was the first time Fenris has ever laughed.
My bid for the prompt "Birds". Not my best work, but I like it

I know what you mean. He has a very strong presence. I was going to go for the Anders romance since I rolled a mage this playthrough but Fenris...wow. I'm sure I'll be in trouble soon enough since I managed to flirt with them both
OMG me too xD I want to pick anders cause I know him but damn fenris is like

I have to say, he is actually nothing I quite imagined. Not exact anyways. He's a surprise... a very good surprise.

Although Carver and him have to be the most annoying pair of mage haters, but I still take them everywhere. I just have to reload every conversation because I wanted to do the friendship side first and they just want to kill every mage in sight and I had the nerve not to want to turn all mages into tranquils.

I just kinda leave him alone and only goto him when a quest demands it or i've exhausted every other outlet. Walking into his mansion just makes me wanna slit my wrists and I don't need that kinda vibe harshing my buzz, Sarcasm Squad and I are having far to much fun telling Templars that things are on fire or getting into pointless bar fights.

Anyone know how to get friendship points with Fenris WITHOUT having to want to kill all mages? Or better yet, can I still have a romance with him even though he's my rival?
You can still romance him if he's your rival (as I'm currently doing). I haven't tried a friendship path with him (currently playing a mage). He's awesome. And so are Varric and Izzy (their banters are great).
@Irish Coffee: I find Anders to be much more depressing than Fenris. YMMV, though. Probably not going to do you a lot of good to come to the Fenris thread to talk about not liking him, though.

Also... has anyone else been forced into flirting with a companion? Anders ninja'd me when I was just being nice and I'm going to have to tell him he needs to wait for my rogue Hawke.
