more spoilerz!

I'm also completely stuck on Fenris's romance :wub::wub::wub::wub:. I swear the devs have been listening to us, to these threads. Nevermind the Varric chesthair comments, there is all the banter from the others about Fenris's brooding and his relationship with Hawke, from Merril saying Fenris is in love, making sad puppy eyes at Hawke "every time his back is turned", to Varric's "fact checking" for his storytelling, prompting him at one point to ask whether there was sweeping, i.e. Hawke sweeping Fenris off his feet. The answer was no . At some point he also concludes "there is no doubt as to who's the girl is". That had me laffin so hard.

Hawke, Varric, Merril, Isabela and Fenris crack me up 24/7. Hawke's "Ugh, painful." during Aveline's cracktastic
patrol :D, Aveline telling Isabela to get it out of her system, which leads to many a description of the beautiful act of love, Isabela-style. It's at times like that when you understand where sayings like "split your sides" laughing come from. So much goodness! Varric wondering whether Fenris shaved his beard off in a fit of broody pique, Fenris wondering whether Varric's beard had dropped to his chest, Isabela implying she'd not want to sleep with Fenris unless he kept the spky armor *on*...LMFAO. Hawke sums it all up beautifully when he says, I never meet anyone normal. I love this game <3

This has probably been asked, but has anyone had any luck convincing Fenris to move in with them?

I'm curious about this as well, but I think given the way the romance goes, this isn't possible with Fenris.

Yeah I'm beginning to think it's implied as what happens after the game. Act 3 has the whole conversation with Aveline and Varric telling him his house is falling apart and he should go somewhere else then Hawke comes in for the apology. That would have been a good point for him to move in if it weren't for the whole apology part. They hadn't talked about "that night" for 3 years, so it's not really logical for that to even happen yet. I get the feeling he never truly confesses until the very end pre-final battle dialogue. So no moving in, it's just a slowly paced romance. I LOVE IT!

My two cents on Fenris.

I find him to be an excellent character, my favorite from the game, mainly due to the fact that he makes me laugh. He has that wonderfully bitter outlook that just appeals to my comedic senses; while still maintaining a serious & intriguing me. The lyrium tattoos are a nice, and very sexy, idea. As a bisexual male I found himself drawn to him, which is a first in a game, as I usually gravitate towards the females despite the "equal opportunity orientation". A job well done, good sirs and madames of the writing team! I won't delve deeper into his story and such at this point, due to spoiler-o-rama, but I do enjoy his private yarn - probably the one that involves me the most among the NPCs.

But the real reason why I post here is, obviously, to be able to post in a thread together with developer ones, Bioware fanboy as I am. ;)

Quetion for you guys:  Can you convince Fenris to side with the mages if you're at max rivalry (or friendship)?  I want to rival-mance him with my militant mage Hawke, and there's no way she's siding with the templars.

Fenris can side with the mages, but only at max rivalry. Here's a link to a video of someone who did exactly that: www.youtube.com/watch

I got him to side with the Mages with a Mage Hawke, who romanced Anders, with Maxed Friendship.

Not one person has confirmed that he CAN move in with you, despite what the guide says...
So can he not?

Oops. I meant he can side with mages with both friendship and rivalry, but on rivalry it MUST be maxed.

Fenris is my favourite character. Unfortunately, I kept disagreeing with his policy on mages while liking him as a person, so my Friendship/Rivalry meter never went anywhere. How do I get him to switch armor? When do the triggers for Friendship/Rivalry need to be set to enable the companion quests?

You'll get companion quests regardless, I'm pretty sure.  They're not dependent on the meter.  However it seems there are some real advantages to spiking the meter early on.  Not only will you miss out on the best combat perks for followers if you don't, the romance won't progress until they're at 50 and then 100.  Doesn't matter if it's friendship or rivalry, just pick one and try to stick to it.  Though I like the general idea of the system, it does feel somewhat artificial.

I found this clip out of tons of them on YT yesterday.
........ Fenris X M! Hawk

Does that implied he is moving in with Hawk?

Also, I am very tempting to go the Friendly path, has anyone managed that without him turn on you during the final battle (sided with mage) (the guide suggested there is a more neutral option)?

Hey, before I progress into Act III, does Fenris have anymore quests outside of "A Bitter Pill" for Act II? Really stupid question, I know, but I have to check. First time I've finished Act II fully (because I keep remaking my character + too many reloads), and I'd like to check before I go on.

Did anyone get the Isabella and Fenris banter where she's asking him why he stays in Hightown and he answers "I like the view..." :pinched: I've seen a cut on youtube with M/Hawke flirt conversation that followed. It was hilariousImage IPB Was just wondering if it triggers for F/Hawk as well and if so, when does it happen?

Hmm... Maybe I missed out on the requisite conversations because my meter wasn't high enough.... That would make sense.

ah, that's my problem, I asked him if it was my fault.

Curiousity, is anyone else in this thread romancing Fen with a MaleHawke?

I'm planning to romance him with my male mage Hawke, but I just got him last night before I had to pass out.

Quick question for you guys: on which romance track does Fenris push you against the wall, rivalry or friendship?

I've been reading this thread like crazy, but there are some conflicting posts. Just curious. ;D

I got that scene on the friendship path.  I have no idea in regards to rivalry.

I just checked my game where he was waiting for Hawke at her house. I had a friendship romance. Hawke was the aggressor (pushed him against the wall). He went with the flow. My dominant personality was green/peacekeeper. Not sure if purple or red personalities change things up.

I'm curious about this as well!

Edit: He was about 75% friend when this happened. No idea if that's a contributing factor.

Don't see why not. Got armor changes for Anders and Merrill without romancing them.

Anders has the whole blowy uppy thing going on, after which he changes armor, so I'm not surprised there. I am surprised about Merrill though. I romanced her and she turned white, so :wizard:! What triggers did you input to switch armor?

Has anyone had him push male Hawke against the wall, or is it always the other way around? I have to think that there's no way Fenris is going to let my mage boy top.

Thanks, Saslic and Gilsa!  I guess this is more complicated than I thought.  Maybe the personalities effect what cutscene you get?  Or the level of friendship/rivalry?  My Hawke's personality is purple/charming, so I suppose I'll just have to see how it shakes down.  B)
