ONCE AGAIN, DAVID GAIDER UNDERSTANDS WOMEN.

Indeed. BRAVO, Mr. Gaider, Bravo! :kissing:B)

Oh, Gaider knows what the ladies like. [/Sgt. Johnson] B)

Speaking about the wall-pushy kiss scene... That's the one I got too, where he glows, pushes Hawke, she kisses him and then flips him around against the wall. I've seen another variation of the scene on youtube where he just grabs her and kisses her, no glowing involved. Are those the only two variations of the scene or has anyone seen a different one?

Oh!  I wonder if the rivalry/friendship path makes the difference.  I was rivalry, so maybe that's why I pinned him against the wall.

No thats how it goes. He pins you first,  cuz he wants you baaaaaad (which you should know if you flirted heavily with him prior to the personal quest).  But  he hesitates, and then Hawke is all "THIS PARTY'S GETTIN' TO KICK OFF!", pulling a reversal.

If there's some other variation where he doesn't hesitate, i don't know it yet.

Wait, I'm so confused.  At no point was I pinned up against the wall.  I can't post a screenshot right now, my husband's playing.  But when I can get to that PC, I'll post a screen and you'll see.

I'm also that one that went in for the kiss after he got all glowy.

Fen never glowed for me, at least, I don't remember him glowing. He kissed Hawke, and then Hawke turned him around and pushed him against the wall.

did anyone else notice that every other love scene involves a part where it shows Hawke and the LI getting into bed except the Fen love scene? Am I the only one slightly annoyed >.>?

Rivalry romance with wise-ass options is what I did during the game and I triggered that scene.  I also didn't let him kill his sister during 'Bitter Pill' and he walked out on me there.

It actually depends on if you did the "Bitter Pill" quest before talking to him in "Questioning Beliefs".

Questioning Beliefs is the questline that activates a romance. If you do his personal quest, go home and talk to him about Hadriana without being in a romance, he won't pin you, since the flag isn't activated (even if you flirted with him before).

If you then go to his mansion and do "questioning beliefs", flirt with him and activate the flags, go back home to hawke mansion, he will be there and say something like "You've all I've been able to think about for the past several days. If you tell me to leave I will". It's a paraphrase but he is clearly all hot and bothered lol. In this scene there is no glowing but the same kind of manhandling.

Most people do Questioning Beliefs before Bitter Pill though, hence the glowy scene after the Hadriana talk.

Rivalry romance.

Fenris pushed me up against a wall and I was at like +75 Friendship.  Unless there's another type of push I've yet to see.  He also went all glowy, which was pretty awesome.

And the info about Questioning Beliefs/A Bitter Pill order helps.  I was wondering if that was where the differences lay.

He grabs and kisses hawke with no glowing if you trigger the regular romance scene at the estate (not triggering it at the conclusion of his act 2 personal quest).

Yeah I changed my initial response to add more details.  I realized after reading some of the thread there was more to it than just the type of romance.

I'm still feeling like the whole Fenris romance is karma payback for me giving Gaider that snow globe at PAX. (Yes, I know Fenris was written before then, but let a girl have her dreams)

Seriously, best romance ever...

I've been trying to stay away from threads and just do what feels right.  I have a compulsive obsession to always ask more questions, and I want to know more about him, even if it results in slightly different approvals.

Oh I hear you.  I didn't come back to read this thread until I had finished the game.  I sort of had internet silence for a couple days with the exception of a few places.   So happy I did that and that I got my wall.

I only came back when I was worried he'd left me forever and ever >_>

I had been planning to romance Anders or Isabela on my second game, but I just want to reply with Fenris again. And again. And again ...

I was hoping there was an alternative scene where he does both the pushing and starts the kiss. I mean one where Hawke doesn't flip him around and is perfectly content to let him take the initiative. :P My Hawke had been doing all the flirty work up to that point and wanted a break, lol.

Yes, this exactly!!  But, we still got a wall push scene, and I was *VERY* happy with it.  I feel like Gaider was in my head taking notes on what I wanted the perfect romance to be.  THANK YOU GAIDER!

i'm sorry, what are the "flags" you are referring to?

A flag is a variable in the game programming, set to True or False. If you complete a conversation, if you "set a flag" as they were saying, then a variable is marked as "True" or having happened. Meaning, when you get to a checkpoint, the game will check if the variable happened. If True, do this, if False, do that.

"Flag" does not mean actual flags. =P

So let me get this straight. In order for Fenris to end up in your home at night you need to....What exactly? The "Questioning Beliefs" and what? I'm sorry for asking this('cos this is probably something that has been asked so many times already) but I can't find out what I'm missing.
