have him at 50 friendship/rivalry in act 2 and go through Questioning Beliefs.  If you flirt at every given opportunity he'll pretty much confess he wants to get down and dirty with you.  You must return that interest to set the romance flag.

now you have a choice.  well, maybe.  If you haven't already done A Bitter Pill (Fen's personal quest in act 2), you must do it to progress the romance.  At its conclusion you can trigger Glowy Fenris kiss by telling him not to go.  If you pass up the opportunity you can later return to your estate at night where he'll be waiting for you.  And you get a choice between pursuing the romance or ending it.

If you already did A Bitter Pill without doing Questioning Beliefs Part 1, you will HAVE to have the non-glowy romance scene.  Which again, is triggered by returning his interest in the Questioning Beliefs conversation.

To get A Bitter Pill, just travel to Sundermount from Kirkwall with Fenris in your party.  You'll be attacked by slavers, starting the quest.

So I have pretty much completed all of Fenris's romance and I am confused, I have been searching desperately for this seen. 


Is that just a teaser image for the fans or does that happen anytime?

Fenris is super cute. I love his reaction if you flirt with him at his quest where you meet him.

Honestly, it looks like they're standing in the front room in Hawke's estate, where the two benches and the front door are at. That leads me to believe it was a staged screenshot. (Seeing as Bodahn and Sandal are about, 10 feet away on the other side of the open door...)

Can someone clarify about Fenris moving in? I'm in Act 3 and I got the "Stay with me" line, but when I go back to the estate he's not there. I completed the Anders romance first, and he moved in without a hitch - does Fenris just like his crappy mansion too much?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Maybe he moves in later and I haven't gotten there yet...

I just got the intimate scene last night. Now at 100% friendly!romance. I had only seen the rival version on youtube and was surprised with the friendly!romance scene.  It's like Gaider studied the fangirl mind when he wrote Fenris. Not only can he pin you against the wall... but, you can totally take over and pin him against it!  I squeed in 3am when this occured! Gaidar, you know how to please your fanbase. You can have alllll my tears. Also, I never notice in vids from youtube, but my Hawke smirked before she pinned Fen. I was like, "OH SNAP!"

Fenris never moves in.  I think the "Stay with me" line is more like "Don't run off and leave me because I care about you" than "move in with me"

Thanks!  Someone in another thread said Merrill was the only one that doesn't move in, so I was confused.

that happened to me, dont worry, its saying about when he left after the first romance scene!

No, you didnt do anything wrong. the romance is still active.  its just intended that the banter and Anders scene happen BEFORE you make-up with Fenris.  its also possible theres some sort of broken flag for these conversations.

regardless, you're still "with" fenris.

I have to say my favorite expression is when you first meet him.  When he says he wants to confront Danarius and you go, "Sound like you want to do a bit more than just talk." You get a super nasty "Can't wait for vengeance" glare, plus a bonus growly "So, YES, I want to do more than just talk."

I got SO mad at Anders.  MYOB you big jerk. There's one line you can pick where Fenris jumps in as well.

So I had planned on romancing Anders for my first play-through, since my mage wants to free the mages and thus agrees with his ideology. But then I recruited Fenris last night and he somehow fits with my character the best out of nowhere. I want to do the rivalry romance, but I was wondering if it's worth it even if I don't go the full distance at the end (since I'm still going to support the mages). The guide makes it clear that if you side with the mages you can't take the romance all the way, but that's fine with me if it's still somewhat satisfying as a storyline along the way. Advice?

I supported the mages, and Fenris stuck with me, and I completed the romance.  I think a lot of the stuff in the guide is a bit off.

On what quest do you get a gift for Fenris? Me and Fenris's relationship is kinda stuck I think. I have done his quest Alone in Act 3 and we are together but nothing much else is happening. Am I being impatient?Do I just need to wait for a quest to open up?Did I miss the chance to have him move in with me?So many questions >.<

I got Fenris's gift in Act 2 in a sack, located in Lowtown's Alienage.
The second gift is a sword.You get itat the "Secret Meeting Place" in the mission "Best Served Cold".
