Hi. First post! I am in Act 2 and playing a f!hawke rogue. Naturally my party build became Aveline, Anders, and then Fenris. I took them to a lot of quests together and they seem like polar opposites. I want to cap Aveline's friendship and Fenris typically shares the same feelings, and that leaves Anders in the other side. he's almost capped rivalry and I just started Act 2 hehe.

I wouldn't say "naturally" to that since why would you take Aveline when Fenris is an excellent 2-hander tank? Unless you're going for personality stuff, in which case I still wouldn't pick Aveliene though

I was completely unprepared for Fenris jumping me at my mansion, I had thought I would have to go over to his house for some sexy timez, so when he kissed me and I slammed him against the wall, I squeed so loudly, such an un-expected surprise.

I had first decided to romance Anders, seeing as I always wanted to in Awakening, but then I heard Fenris talk, there might have been swooning, some drooling and shivers included. I *love* his voice. And his smile, the few times he does smile. Like here.

Has anyone here brought Fenris with you when you first meet Merril? Not only does he comment on the Dalish and Merril but he also gets a special convo option with Flemeth. Not much but enough if you want to fish up every Fenris possible convos.

I didn't get any friend/rival for letting him speak though.

I did! He commented when Merrill performed blood magic and talked a bit with Flemeth, saying she's not an ordinary witch he had ever see, and he has seen a few in Tevinter.:wub:

I had him with me there too. Lots of good rivalry points.

I got nothing during that conversation. D: Though I got 10 friendship with him (and Anders) for being peeved about Merril's blood magic.

However I got 5 for rival when I said I'd visit Merril afterwards.. Sheesh, Fenris, lighten up.

Now I'm running around with two mages and him. Poor guy. Poor me maybe if I'm working for a friendship romance! Wanna rival with Anders though soo.. guess it's good.

Ha ha, I love his Qun talk.  You can pretend he's talking dirty.

I like to pretend it's one of her underwear ribbons  ^.-  LOL  Maybe it's something else entirely.  Sort of like when a lady gives a 'favor' to a knight.  It could also be a scarf or something more symbolic.  Maybe we should ask Gaider and find out what it is  XD

It's not holding anything. That's just a piece of hsi armor sticking out

But I do wish Gaider would explain the specific significance of the ribbon.

looks like some sort of strap or something. i noticed it today myself.  It's so small and thats the only good angle you can clearly see it.  i assume its something he stole from Hawke's bedroom while she/he was sleeping.

@ guy above me:
no thats not his armor. there's a very obscure object being held on by the cloth. i was trying for ages to get the right angle to see it. straight-on it sort of meshes in with the gauntlet.

I had this same problem in my first playthrough...I think it has to do with if you have a romance with anyone else? I had slept with Isabela once and that prevented me from romancing him...On my second playthrough, I did't flirt with anyone but him and it worked fine.

Hi all . Just finished my first run with a mage Hawke rival... I' m seriously going to have trouble playing it any other way, or trying other romances for a while yet, haha! Pride and prejudice Dragon Age style indeed, except the first 20 friendship points after the first meeting. It went fast and steadily downhill from there with my snarky lady being fairly pro mage and brining him with her on every single mission.

I so expected a tragic fallout at the end siding with the mages... and, and... he stuck by her against all his better judgement. I was floored . I played his quest the way that where he kills the magister and then rambles on about magic tainting everything it touches... and then the camera zooms at my -mage- character's face was priceless in a heartbreaking, yet funny in a 'foot-in-the-mouth' kinda way.

That rivalry romance track with two polar oposite ideologies clashing was the highlight of the game for me, and maybe I am still on the first playthrough high, but this is my favorite romance out of all Bioware games thus far! Amazing cinematics too, really pulled on the heartstrings!

That's odd - he wouldn't show up at my mansion before but when I finally did the personal quest he showed up - what does he do exactly when he comes to your estate to apologize? Did he kiss you?
