For me, Fenris is the only LI that didn't do something over the course of the game to insanely ****** me off. Isabella caused the Quarni conflict, Merrill was a complete and total idiot with her mirror, and Anders forced a war when I could have resolved the conflict peacefully.

It really does.  I love the two of them together, I don't know why.  It isn't snarky and hilarious like Alistair and Morrigan in Origins, but I still love hearing them snipe at each other.  Actually I'm probably just a shameful fangirl who LOVES hearing them fight over Hawke.  I like to imagine that's one more layer of their hatred for each other.  I got some particularly awesome dialogue after Fenris does his leaving thing in Act 2 and my Hawke subsequently went for Anders.

In that particular case, I like to imagine that part of the reason Fenris still wears the red scarf is because he knows it pisses Anders off every time he sees it.

Someone earlier had the idea that maybe the red scarf thing is a tie on Hawke's underwear, which is my favorite so far.  I can picture Anders discovering that's what it is and going totally bonkers on Fenris, maybe after too many drinks at the Hanged Man, and Varric having to intervene and calm everyone down.

Haha. It's true. Hearing them fight over Hawke is rather... satisfying.

Like the confrontation with Anders about your relationship with Fenris, with both of them in the party at the time.

Anders: I know it isn't my place to criticize, but, are you sure about Fenris? he seems less a man to me than a wild dog.
Hawke: ('Don't call him that' dialogue choice) You just don't know him.
Anders: I know as much as I'm ever likely to.
Fenris: That's right, Mage.
Anders: He has let one bad experience color his whole world. Surely you want someone more open-minded.
Fenris: *looks at Hawke* A Mage and a hypocrite. What company you keep.

It's so familiar! Just like with Carth and Kaidan.  As someone posted in another thread (or maybe earlier in this one), "David Gaider understands women." Way to go, writers!

Yes, seriously! Even though I had trouble with Fenris in the beginning (*mumbles something about him disapproving of every single decision I made*), by the end he was actually really pleasant, whereas the other three only got worse. What really did Anders in for me was when it was revealed that Fenris' sister was a mage and Anders accused him of just being jealous. He's lucky he's my healer or I woulda left him to rot in the party select screen >__>

Everytime I hear this song I think of the Fenris romance. This strikes me as the perfect song for Fenris, it feels like the perfect song for his feelings for Hawke

The dejected look on his face is the worst part rather than any particular line. Hawke basically just ruined his life. You have to be truly evil to go through with that option, seriously.

After hearing Merrill, Anders, Sebastian and Varric's responses, I thought Merrill was the best third party member to take. She says what I was thinking the whole time.

Varric was surprisingly okay with Fenris leaving. I didn't have Isabela, so I couldn't try her. I imagine Aveline would be against it too.

I feel like I've just been on the most fantastic emotional rollercoaster in existence! I'm still feeling "wowed" and "awed" by the entire game, from the overall plotline to the individual character relationships, there is so much depth and complexity, its been so incredibly satisfying...I don't even know where to start. Fenris is without doubt my absolute fav game character,  I bow to Lord Gaider's brilliant genius in creating Fenris and his character. Between his soul-aching torture and personal demons and his hidden loving and passionate side, it was mind blowing..truly EPIC! The pushed up against the wall kiss, the love scene, the apology, every single scene he was in left me wanting more...I loved the party banter ( and yes greedily wished there was more of it ) but I lmao during ones like Fenris and Varric's party banters, especially these ( the Fenris makes a joke &  brooding ) made me wonder if the devs had been following this thread..I was almost expecting to hear/see something about toast!

And then there's the look he gives in the Hanged Man during the "Alone" mission, after you say " you have me Fenris".. its so heartbreakingly sad and grateful... and then when he says in the apology, "nothing could be worse than the thought of living without you" .....My heart melted like butter:wub:. And that VOICE! Dear Maker! Every word he utters makes my heart skip ..but the lines he says when you talk to him when in your party, " I remain at your side",  and the "I am yours" ..when I heard that one I think I fell off the couch and my heart felt like it was going to explode...
Well Bioware,  DA 2 Team...You have once again epically out done yourselves in creating a masterpiece. I am (like a vast number of others) hopelessly addicted and in love with this game! Guaranteed I'll be doing some 20 + playthroughs like I did with DA:O...You guys are amazing! Thank you!<3

Edit: I hope we will be able to see more Fenris stuff in DLC's and even have him back in a future game. He's my fav Dragon Age character yet!

I thought Varric's reaction was disgusted.  Didn't he say something like "that's our champion" in a disgusted tone?  I don't know about Isabela either, I can never get her to stay past the Qunari.  <_<  That scene is just so sad. ;_;  This is why I can't ever romance Anders, I want to smack him almost every single time he opens his mouth about Fenris.  That and, you know, he blows up the chantry and kills a bunch of innocents.  Always gets a knife to the back.    But Fenris, he shall never have to go with his old master!

Anyone else really enjoy killing Danarius just because of the smug way he enters and walks down those stairs?  It was very satisfying watching Fenris kill him.

I've only done rivalry, but I watched the videos of the friendship one and personally I love the rivalry one more.

It didn't sound very disgusted to me. Just sarcastic, like he was disappointed. In comparison he didn't seem that broken up about it. The other lines:

Varric: You're kidding, right?
Varric: That's our Champion.

Sebastian: We can't abandon our friend in his hour of need.
Sebastian: This is wrong.

Aveline: I hope you're joking.
Aveline: Unbelievable.

And yeah, I agree about Anders. I stopped wanting to romance him when he used Aveline's dead husband to prove some argument about mages. He just goes out of his way to be insulting to people.

And yeah, Denerius' walk is kind of campy, isn't it? Especially at the end of the betrayal option. I kind of wish he hadn't died so quickly, I wanted to savor it. Smug jerk. >_>
