Well, first he would flinch-- because his markings are quite painful, and doubly so when they're touched. His first instinct might be to punch someone who touched him, though he'd probably hold back if he realized it was Hawke.

He is a living weapon. But if the lyrium burns are so painful at a mere touch would they also make him vulnerable? How will it effect him in battle?



Note, my Hawke is ready to protect him by any means necessary.

If by some miracle of miracles that man in the background of one of the group screenshots we got awhile back IS Anders and he DOES end up being a party member, I think my brain might just short-circuit.

But on the whole "Fenris experiencing pain when touched" note, didn't David include in a post at some point waaaaaaaaay back (not necessarily in this thread) something regarding possible kink in the DA2 romances? If so, that could be fuel for the LI fire - Sex + pain = kink, no?

Well... I was thinking more along the lines of the Mage comeing into uncontrolled contact with lyrium = KABOOM! problem.

He's pretty glow-y in the concept art but not so much in the screenshots we've seen. Obviously we've only seen a few screenshots, and obviously not everything from concept art is carried directly over - I wonder if he glows in-game - maybe only at certain times? 0:

Thats my guess. It's painful for people to get close to him. Literally.

He maybe completely untouchable in battle (considering his crazy mad i-am-a-living-manhattan-project-weapon-thing)

It'd be interesting if his stats are balanced so that he's really strong with some agility, but his defenses are worse than a Mage's.

So long for tank status.

Fenris may not have markings under his armor, if his master knew that they'd be painful to him. He/She wouldn't want anything to inconvenience him during a fight.

I'm personally in love with all of them. However, of the ones featured so far, Fenris is particularly interesting because we don't know a damn thing about him. The madness will die off once another Male char is introduced. Or a particularly amazing lady.

Thats my guess. It's painful for people to get close to him. Literally.

I think that would make his romance option very interesting, personally. He and Hawke would have to develop a very strong bond in order for Fenris to agree to have any *ahem* tent time, and would definitely lead to some interesting pre-coital conversation.
