I also think that Isabela is SUCH a good and experienced lover that she would know just how exactly to handle Fenris's markings pain. I mean, she's a pro at this, and it can't be the first time she's slept with someone who has physical touch issues and felt literal pain at being manhandled. If ANYBODY could sleep with Fenris without physically hurting him, it would be Isabela.
The more I think about it, the more it all makes sense, so long as Fenris was boozing and Isabela was boobing.

LOL. I got a kick out of Fenris shutting Zevran down when he tried to offer a personal reward. I didn't have Isabela in the group so no idea if her dialogue would override anything. Too tedious of a boss fight to rotate though all the companion reactions.Lady Jess wrote...

I'm glad Fenris only sleeps with Isabella if you're not romancing him. otherwise my Hawke would need to get tested
Anders even has a talk with Isabela about it at some point. Not party banter, just a random encounter at the clinic. Isa gave my Hawke a death glare as she passed.![]()
XD I know that, but still, I'd feel so unclean
Fenris never interjected with Zev for me

I was hoping he did that too! I romanced Anders first and did not bring him because I wanted a little Zev but I will definitely be bringing Fenris.

I never had any trouble resisting Anders, and now that I've finished the game... I don't think I'd ever be able to do his romance for reals. Maybe once through just to see it, but holy jihad Batman, he makes Morrigan look like a sweet little thing.Lady Jess wrote...
Because Anders is doing that sad puppy "i need somewhere safer to stay" thing, and it's really hard to resist him.
They really want you to romance Anders...*glares*
Anders' romance is worth doing. I did it my second playthrough, the way I think it's supposed to play out (gah, the games been out, what, a week? and I'm on playthrough 3). Fenris runs off, Hawke hooks up with Anders. There's some good banters along with these, one where Anders tells Fenris that he was a fool to leave Hawke, and Fenris tells Anders he wasted no time moving in on her/him. Another where Fenris tells Anders if he hurts Hawke, he'll kill him. And it wouldn't surprise me if the Isabela banter is a part of that as well (though maybe not -- I have no clue).
I don't like Anders' romance, though. It's well written, but it's spooky as well -- he reminds me of an old boyfriend whom I didn't realize was nuts until after we got together. Of course, with Anders, you already know he's an abomination, but I'm not sure you know just how strong an influence Justice really is.
After hearing the banter where Fenris threatens to kill Anders, though, I will even have a tough time romancing Sebastion. Who reminds me of a very zealous Leliana, actually, which may be the other huge barrier.

I almost wish I had done the Anders romance first so that I'd have been able to approach it unspoiled, except I can't resist the elf.Lady Jess wrote...
I did his first, and I will soooo do it again. It's beautifully done and youtube just doesn't do it justice. err no pun intended:?
I'm having more trouble with Fenris, and if I don't figure it out soon I'll go have Anders again:P
It probably doesn't help that I already didn't have any Anders squee from Awakening. I was needing to be won over in DA2, and... weeell...
Anyway, Fenris.

I kept waiting for Zev to invite Fenris to join him and Hawke, along the lines of Isabela in the Pearl.

I did the exact same thing this time and was very pleasantly surprised to see that banter between Anders/Fenris. I love that they added that touch this time around and didn't just ignore that the PC is bed hopping.

And everyone offers their opinion about it! Even Leandra has something to say.
Though when comparing the love-final talks before the last battle, you can't beat Fenris there. Biggest squee moment in the game.

I had no idea the banter would go that far addressing Hawke's relationships. Just more reasons to try more playthroughs! I agree though that it would be hard to do that to Fenris.

Secondly, this is no offense to the Fenris fangirls or bois, but...
It's no surprise that he would sleep with Isa. I didn't mind Fenris as a comrade, I could even put up with his incessant brooding, but the first time I met him in the mansion alone he was too quick to want to get into my pants. He tried really hard, giving me at least three times the ability to render a heart response. Just thought it was curious. He just doesn't seem like the kind you want as a keeper. I also don't understand the appeal of Anders. He is kind of a fanatical persona, and knowing he cannot control is resentment, would concern me greatly.
I know this may seem bad, but I would be more willing to romance Varric, which it doesn't seem we can, but at least he is intelligent, level-headed, knows where he is going in life, can handle himself in a confrontation both physically and mentally, and he is darn well charming as well. He is definitely a keeper and squee worthy!
I have not tried Seb yet so I cannot speak for him, as he might be just as good, but the others seem... very mentally and emotionally damaged.
*Sigh* I guess thats the problem with psychology, I can see it coming before it happens with people.

me too, the best I feel like we can expect is a "Letter from Fenris"
It'd be nice if the expansion had a ME2 style opening that featured Hawke and their Love Interest (without the whole dying thing)

There were some dlc that were worked into the "time" of the main story in Origins(wardens keep, return to ostagar...)ZombieGeisha wrote...

I think it would be kind of odd to do another Awakening, considering just how DA2 ends.
...Unless it would be like Awakening, in that Oghren was there, from the "original party"... only instead of a random companion, you could have whoever stayed with you in the end(like, say... Fenris?

Heh, it's not so easy to get into Fenris' pants. Just because you can flirt doesn't mean the physical relationship can happen. Actually, he turns Hawke down the first time s/he offers. While the Isabela thing doesn't surprise me at all (after all, he and Hawke have been broken up for 3 years, you'd hope he'd turn to someone), it's a bit more complex. While he has his own set of Issues (yes, that's a capitol "I"), having sex with everyone is definitely not one of them.
Anders issues are a whole lot more complex as well -- it's not so much he's a fanatical person, it's that he's an abomination and the spirit inside him is fanatical.

Someone romanced Seb and shared basically what a waste of time it was. You don't even get kisses with him and his one visit to the house was to talk to the dog.Kitaen wrote...

I'm in act 3 doing Avaline's quest and I just hope that was not Fenris 's last quest or chance to have a cut scene with him

I know! That final scene pwns all! I was playing it for the first time while my husband was making dinner and watching me play. That scene came up and while he rolled his eyes at my giggling, even he had to admit that was pretty awesome and sweet.
It's just going to be Alistair all over again, every playthrough the same romance despite plans otherwise. I just know it! Although, I think did do one playthrough with Leliana as a romance.

Talk to him about it in his house. It's not his last scene unless you started a romance with someone else.

If you talk to him in his house you should get another cutscene where you get back together. He's supposed to run off, it's unavoidable

Fenris might have sought out carnal attachment without any strings attached. By the way that he talked to her, that's most certainly the case. And she is hot, not gonna lie.
I feel like we got a lot less with these characters than the Origins NPCs so it's harder to "get" them.
Thats whats confusing me, he makes a fuss about it, and after the deed runs off cos the deed brough back memories, would that not be the case for doing it with anyone regardless?
Even if it is rebound? Just seems unlike Fenris.....
I'm wondering if the memories come back due to the entanglment being some more than just physical. Emotions needed to be involved.
I do feel like we got less of these characters in some ways and more in others.
^^This. I don't think it was the deed itself...but that it was with Hawke, and he's obivously got a thing for her that goes beyond just physical attraction.
