 I have to admit that Fenris is an excellent companion. Now in Aveline's quest in act 2 I especially liked the
"What about you and Fenris? Don't you worry about the risked carried by the lives you lead?" line when she's talking about her and Donnic.

Of course I could only see a flashback like this happening in Hawke's head:

(The streets of Hightown)

Hawke: Goodnight Fenris.

Fenris: Would you like an escort? The streets are dangerous at night.

Hawke: (laughs) Fen, my house is right down the street, its not like highwaymen are going to suddenly fall from the sky- (raiders decend from the rooftops onto the street)

Fenris: You were saying?

Hawke: So much for a normal night out.

(The pair draw their blades and prepare to fend off the raiders)

I Fenris. Unfortunately, I get the feeling I'm never going to be able to romance anybody else in this game. I could have romanced Anders, but I broke it off because I wanted to romance Fenris, and then missed him because I didn't do the "Bait and Switch" quest.  Yeah, so my first playthrough had no romance and my second playthrough I got spoiled by Fenris.

I agree about the memories coming back because of the emotion involved with Hawke, rather than just the physical contact.

I'm thinking I like the glowy kiss better, I don't know this requires more testing...   And I had a total daaww moment when I took him to the Gallows for the first time, my Hawke was a mage and he asked her if it was wise for her to be there being an Apostate and all. Even if we did argue right after that about the Circle it was still sweet. lol

You're right, there is.  I didn't even notice he tied on the ribbon then.  I had thought he tied it on after the sexytime, but apparently it's after the bitter pill quest.

So... what did people think of the story of the fog warriors and what he did to them?  It reminded me of Sten.

Yes! It's like the combined Sten (mage hate, "no.", the fog warriors thing) and Zevran (panic when emotions break through) to make Fenris.

I honestly think I screwed up my romance with Fenris, by sleeping with Merrill after he left, but i'm not sure. btw How many quests does Fenris have?
I found that girl who told fenris about his sister and I did the quest with the magister. What else is left seeing as i'm in act 3.

Either do NOT finish the questioning beliefs quest before the Bitter pill quest. You don't get a kiss then. Go to his house, finish the Questioning Beliefs, then go back to your house at night.

OR

In the scene just after killing Hadriana, don't choose, "don't go." He'll leave, but the next time you go to your house at night, you'll get that kiss.

And I just triggered that kiss for the rivalry.. wowza! I'll upload it to youtube. That is an intense scene, especially since I have a b!tchy Hawke who just told him to shut up.

I will have to try that, thanks for testing. I always got the "friendly" glowing kiss, but I always went straight at home after killing Hadriana. I had the glowing when triggering with "don't go" the sex scene, but even  when I didnt chose it and re-entered my home for the "I've been thinking about you" scene. I didn't think to check his house, I'll try right now

In the conversation with him after confronting his sister (end of Questioning Beliefs), you can talk to him about what happened if you can rekindle the romance.  It ends up with him saying something incredibly sweet -- how he wishes he could do it all over again, and that he wants a future with Hawke (seriously paraphrased here) and a very loving kiss.

hmmm, I'll fraps the end part of that as well.  it's with my snarky Hawke as my b!tchy one isn't there yet (and she IS snarky -- I'm looking forward to the nasty Hawke's comment there).

 Yes I ruined it. When I talked to him after his sister all he said that he was glad i'm his friend. I guess I'm gonna have to restart....such a shame lol i'm so far XD I should have realised it sooner. THANKS!

I swear, after the third Act Fenris really starts to talk. Sheesh. I can't take him anywhere now without him commenting. xD Just going outside Gamlen's home resulted in an incredibly snarky "your uncle must be happy to have his old *hovel* back!" Cracked me up.

And I clicked him in the Hanging man and he and Varric started discussing how he can keep a room there. First time clicking on someone that caused a whole banter chat for me.. o.o

I'm pretty sure you still have to go home.  Just DON'T say to him, "Don't go."  He'll leave.  But he'll come back the next time you go to your house at night.

Edit: @Lady Jess YAY!  You know, it really does work itself out.  Fortunately I got my first playthrough reasonably unspoiled but didn't mess it up.  But because people still commented on the romance, I knew something was still going on.

Though, thinking about it, with my second playthrough (dumped so hooked up with Anders), Merrill in a banter gives Fenris a hard time for still being in love with Hawke (and she's so sweet and clueless about it).  So I guess it wasn't a guarantee!  I didn't hook up with Anders the first time mainly because my approval was too low (in either direction) so I couldn't start it.  I'm glad I couldn't!
