I haven't even met the guy yet and it's already turning me off the character the crazyness in this thread, just like how the fans made me hate Tali. >.>

During the BioWare Bazaar, I spent a *lot* of time posting in the Tali thread. They were one of the most enthusiastic and friendly bunch of posters I'd ever seen on the ME boards. Surprisingly, while there were a few screeshots of Tali highlighting her assets, they were relatively tame when it came to sexual matters. No discussion of her sparkly fluids.

Hate to say it, but not only would I be thrilled if the Aveline or Isabela managed thread to attract that type of group, I wish all the threads were that pleasant and enthusiastic about the game.

If done superficially, Fenris would indeed be fangirl fodder. But it could be much deeper than that. It's an interesting dynamic from what I know so far.

@the Kate Beaton comic: I'm pretty much like Anne there in real life but it's fun to encounter totally dysfunctional men in fiction sometimes (depends on the nature of the dysfunction, for me. A big no thank you to the Twilight men, bleh).



Also I had a hard time seeing Wuthering Heights as a romance novel. It was as much a romance novel as the Count of Monte Cristo is. Buuuut then, I've only read the book. Perhaps the film versions are different.

Meh, maybe the times I went it was at their worse? All I know, I'm unable to take any of Tali's dialogue seriously since it was all compared to something sexual and now I'm just sitting there reminded of those posts. There's some strange hatred for the character that I didn't have before I visited that thread and saw those posts. I've even seen the Tali sex doll. >.>
