I'm not sure what you mean by "complete."  There is a kiss scene before the final battle, I guess that would be it.

I'm not sure what you mean by "complete."  There is a kiss scene before the final battle, I guess that would be it.

Anders' romance also can complete if you keep him alive and side with the mages -- just before the final battle he has some nice things to say and he's obviously committed to both Hawke and his cause, with a Lady Hawke he talks about the lives he dreams of for their children.  Though, seriously, his talk there pales in comparison to Fenris' talk and kiss.  That is the most amazing squee I've ever seen

Edit: While the romances are very important and I wish there were a few more dialogs, the game itself does not focus on the romances.  I like how they are forced to be paced, and things happen only after time has passed (though some of those jumps aren't quite too realistic).  I like how they're secondary actually, though I do wish you could have an intimacy option in your LI's home.

I'd just like the contribute to the Fenris tanking discussion from pages and pages ago and say that I played on Hard for the whole game, only switching to Normal in like three encounters that messed me up pretty hard (stupid Deranged Mage on the top of Sundermount :|!!), and Fenris made a FANTASTIC tank. I DID suplement his tanking abilities with Goad and Armistice (played an archery rogue) but I took those because I found the idea of them fun, not because Fenris was failing on any level. I distributed his stats between Strength, Cunnining, Con, and some Willpower, and I actually found him a more useful party member than Aveline on the whole. He kept dudes on him, died rarely, and he did a LOT more damage than Aveline could ever pull, which ended fights quicker.

Just my input! I played on a harder difficulty and he was DEFINITELY more than viable.

The romance is "complete" once you get that final kiss before the last battle.

Ok, this is my second play through. I didn't do any romancing my first play through, just wanted to check the game out ha. I have since the get go flirted with Fenris, killed every mage in sight and say nasty little things about mages any chance I get, lol. I have NOT USED ANY MAGES FOR ANY QUESTS. My party since the beginning consists of me, Fenris, Varric/Sebastion and Aveline and it's quite fun to murder everything with melee lol. ( I admit i feel like **** by having to be mean to Merril, shes so damn sweet and dingy lol.)

I got Fenris to adore me %100 quite early in act 1 by doing this. I COULD NOT get his personal quest to trigger by going to the wounded coast until AFTER the second phase of the Gunpowder Qun issue AND having the quest to go rescue the not so smart dwarf sons that decided to go into the deeproads. When that was available I went to go do that and was ambushed by slavers and started Fenris A Bitter Pill Quest.

After killing Hadriana, Fenris gets sexy angry and leaves. When i left the area I went home and he was waiting for me. If you choose to ask questions or say its ok he just leaves. If you say "Don't go" His lyrium begins to glow and he looks as if hes going to kill you then does the whole hawt, slam you against the wall and kisses you thing. No matter what you so or say he will leave you after that. He does however wear a red bracelet and has a Hawke family crest thing on his belt pack for the rest of the game.

OR!! (I saved a few times to try different options) Instead of saying "Don't go" i asked if he was going to use the info about his family, he says he will have to think on it and leaves. I then went about my questing. After a quest Aveline started rambling in my ear that she needed to speak with me at my home. I went home and Fenris was there again. This time HE initiates a kiss and what follows. I won't put what he says for those who don't know or haven't seen it but it's umm....yeah, thanks Bioware for this character. For being a pretty submissive, shy, quiet female, I wouldn't think this is sexy but DAMN. =P

Also....using strictly melee is FUN FUN FUN!! =)

I guess I'll have to try the rivalry play through with him sometime? Sounds like a totally different experience, lol

From what I've seen and heard some people get Avelin and Verrik while I got bloody backstabing Isabella!

I really liked her as a companion up to this moment. I didn't romance any other companions when Fenris "left" so I never got "Isabella/Fenris fling" banter. I had her friendship meter around 90% so she was a good girl and returned the relic to the qunari. So I fight the Arishok in  a duel in order to save her ass and she repays me with showing up at Fenris's mantion talking to him about sailing together...and the look my Hawke got while she was leaving. What the hell?!  Something tells me that in my next playthrugh the only place this "kitten" will sail away to will be under Arishoks axe

For ****s and giggles, I supported the Templars on my last playthrough...there's a part where two mages come tearing out of the circle and beg to be spared. I spared them and Meredith gave me this look like I'd pooped in her casserole XD It was awesome.

The look she gives Hawke isn't supposed to be "back off, ****," it's supposed to be "THAT BOY IS IMPOSSIBLE TO TALK TO, GIRL, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME :|"

*grin* I think it's random who's there for any of the companion conversations.  It's part of the reason the game has so much replay value -- I really love those touches.  I haven't seen that one, but that really is very funny.  It's no secret that Isabela finds Fenris incredibly sexy and he finds her attractive as well.  But whose ribbon is he wearing?

Totally agree.  It is a really nice touch to a fantastic romance!  So understated but says so much!

I know the feeeeling.  I hate fanfics, I hate writing them.  But there's so much there with this romance that it makes me want to write oooooone (or a hundred) x_x

Maybe because, like me, you coulnd't select her in your party. I had her "greyed out" in the party screen at the start of Act3. I went to Fenris' before going to the Hanged Man to recruit again Isabela, so I found Varric and Aveline, My guess is that if I went first to Isabela and then to Fenris, I would have found her. Which I didn't want

Dammit, now I really have the urge to start writing something with the scarf, fffff, even though I'm just trying in vain to listen to a law lecture, ugh. XD; That reminds me, and forgive me for not braving to go through all the whooping 1122 pages, does dear Fenris have any fanfiction database already? Like, a lj comm, or something similar, or do we still have to rely on different sources to get our fix?
