Just wondering, at the end of the game in the epilogue does Fenris stay with you if you're romancing him?

Yes.  Varric started to say "we all separated from her..." or something like that, and I held my breath.  But he adds "except for Fenris, of course."

YES! Image IPB
I'm coloring a drawing I did of him right now heheheImage IPB

I swear I am the only person that hated ME...lol so this is all new for me. My first RPG was DA:O (not counting WoW) and I fell in love. But DA2 is awesome really, I just really miss those two things. I wouldn't notice mechanic diifferences, i've loved PC because it can be modded but I don't know the differences beyond that. We have an Xbox 360, I don't play it much exceot for guyitar Hero...lol

I came very late to ME and still could take it or leave it, though I enjoyed the game and especially ME2.  Mechanics wise, the thing I have a hard time with in DA2 is casting AoE spells.  Half the time they don't work, the gold circle just stays there derpy-like and nothing happens.  Apparently the cursor has to be gold for you to be able to cast, but I end up clicking like crazy trying to get the spell to cast.  Very annoying.

@ejoslin, I guess if it's one of his duties- to me that means he's a sex slave.  Not that he was a prostitute, but that he serviced Danarius.  I still don't think it's a certainty, even looking at the conversation with the nuance you point to.  It's a matter of how you interpret it.  I assumed the slimy bastard was only talking about combat skills.  I'm going to cling to my first interpretation until DG says otherwise.

This is what I think as well. It's all in how you interpret it. If people want to see that, it is up to them and perfectly fine. However, I didn't think that.

On completely the other hand, and I don't know how I came to this conclusion considering I didn't believe Fenris was a "sex slave", I felt that Danarius was creepily insinuating that he knew I was in a relationship with Fenris, and was just saying "he is quite skilled" in that voice to...well...creep me out. I was screaming in my head "Phase punch him! Phase punch him! He gives me the frickin' creeps!"

Eek! I've just finished the 'All That Remains' quest (and teared up a little....horrifying quest), but Fenris didn't come to console me, Aveline did. :( Is it because I haven't done Bitter Pill yet, or have I screwed something up? I did flirt with Anders once, in Act I, but nothing since then (not sure I'd picked up Fenris then or not.)

My Hawke flirted hardcore with Anders and slept with Isabela, but he still got Fenris for that scene.  I always made sure to do Fenris's quests first, though, so you might be right regarding "Bitter Pill."

I threw a little video together of different Fenris scenes through out the game for those of you interested. I didn't put dialog because I don't want to completely ruin for anyone that hasn't experienced any of these scenes with him.

All of these were with my sweet and nice female Hawke. Well, sweet and nice to Fenris anyway, if you are a mage gtfo, lol. This is what I got when you get his %100 friendship early in phase 1. I didn't want a bunch of choppy cut scenes so I threw a song in there lol.

I have never likes elves, until now. Thanks Bioware! He's quite animated for someone who has been tormented his whole life. ha. Enjoy!

Danarius is a disgusting slimy creep.  He'd say ANYTHING to try and humiliate Fenris in that moment, and make Hawke see  him differently. I don't buy it.  Because he says he hasn't been with with ANYONE since his markings. If Fenris is anything it's bluntly honest. He's almost sten like in his straight forwardness.  Danarius wants his slave back and would do and say anything to make Hawke want to give him up.

I agree i think Danarius would saying anything to make Hawk give him up

While I agree that Danarius is a slime who would say anything as well, but I did NOT get this impression, that he was a virgin, or that it was something Denarius was lying about.  He doesn't say that he didn't have sex since he had the markings, he said he didn't have it since he escaped.  He would do whatever his master asked of him -- it's possible this was something that wasn't asked, but who can say for sure.  /shrug Whatever, he's had a horrible time of it for sure no matter what.

Poor Isabela seems to catch everyone's bad end in the banter... except for Merrill, who seems to love asking her random things... and with Varric, where she voices the Varric fans' secret(and notsosecret in some cases) love of his chest hair. <3

It was a great moment when Fenris comes back to you after temporarily siding with Meredith. He tells you that you can't win, and defying the templars is suicide. You say "I suppose dying with you at my side is too much to ask for?" He gets all conflicted and says to Meredith "I..I have changed my mind. I will stand with my friend."

I actually liked the fact that he stood by me from the beginning. I could hear the disbelief in his voice (almost angry disbelief) when you talk to him and he says "Here I am about to defend these mages in hopeless battle. You lead me to strange places, Hawke." Just the fact that he was willing to put aside his hate because he loved Hawke (me) too much.

Though...does he say the same line if he switches sides for you? Still, when he says "This is a mistake...but I will not abandon you." I was so relieved, because, seriously, if he had left me I probably wouldn't have been able to make it to the Gallows. Fenris was the heavy hitter in my party and, although I never set his tactics to do as such, he was always the first one to come to my rescue when I was running away from a horde of enemies trying not to die (because as a mage I had a ridiculously low health meter).

Also, I was wondering, what level was everyone's Hawke when they completed the game? My canon Hawke (which is my first one) was 24, and probably would be 25 if I actually got XP from the fight with Meredith. I even didn't do ALL of the side quests. So I was wondering how high you can get (without cheating, of course).

I set his tactics to do that for my Hawke. It's nice to get Hawke's ass kicked, if only to see Fenris fly out of frickin NOWHERE to come to her rescue.

lol. It was fun to see him come out of nowhere, usually using Scythe to kill the people following me, but like I said, I never set anyone's tactics to specifically help Hawke if I was in trouble. I remember catching part of Fenris' comment when Hawke went down, but I couldn't really hear it. What does he say? Aveline's was always the one I heard. She said something like, "Not today, Hawke!"

It always cracked me up during battle when Varric would shout "How many have you got, Hawke?!" (or something like that). I would always pull down Firestorm, look at him and mutter "I got everyone. How 'bout you?"

Yeah. I was ridiculously powerful as a mage. I dumped all my points into magic, with occasional forays into willpower, and some into constitution. So when I used Firestorm I would devastate a room...unless it was a boss. So I like to think that after the battle with the templars, and since all her friends had to leave her, Hawke will still be alright. Because she doesn't need anyone but Fenris watching her back. ;) No one will be able to touch her. And Varric knows it. lol. That's why when Cassandra asked if Hawke was dead, he replied "Oh, I doubt that."

Yeah I'm going to have only Fenris in my party and die to say what he says. I first have to turn that blasted music down that gets in the way of hearing my beloved's voice:wub:I have heard my Hawke scream Fenris whenever Fenris went down. I found it so cute even as I was annihilating all who dared touch him

My Hawke(this time around. My first was a duel rogue) is a force mage. Slam everyone down, pull them together, then 'force' them apart. Image IPB Would take care of a whole room before everyone had got there(only because Fenris would keep stealing my kills, otherwise. I had to find some way of getting in on the fighting. Image IPB)

I can't remember, exactly, what Fenris says when Hawke goes down. Mostly because he talks so quietly in battle. I hear everyone BUT him. Image IPB

Since I generally play mages I would always set Alistair and now Fenris to either taunt or attack when my PC is being attacked.  It is rather nice to see them running to your rescue.  There's now the added benefit that I can cast someone brittle and let Fenris finish them off.

Of course these days I also stick close to my fake boyfriend Varric so we can help each other out with the aggro.  Also not a bad deal, especially when he gets Chameleon's Breath.  And maybe that's why he's the one who usually yells if Hawke goes down.  Can't say I mind.  That sexy, sexy little man.

Random thought:
Why in the world does my male warrior look like a blue-eyed Alistair? An angry blue-eyed Alistair?
Hmph. My mind must be stuck in Origins today.

If he had the ability to, Fenris would probably be pissed at my Hawke(or jealous of Varric). Whenever Varric has an enemy too close, I have to run to his rescue, but just cast a shield on Fenris and leave him to his own if he gets surrounded. Image IPB

The very first fight I had with Fenris evar, before I'd had a chance to set his tactics or indeed know anything about two-handed warriors, a Shade was about to strike my Hawke, and - BAM! He comes on the screen out of nowhere with Scythe and kills the thing in one swing before running off. I literally stared at the screen for a few seconds. Then I had this big dopey grin for the rest of the fight.

I really enjoyed listening to Fenris's story which unfolded whenever I was with him. His history was pretty cool and I enjoyed it, it was pretty tragic, but it only improved from there when he met Hawke B).

Fenris always saved my ass because I always played a mage, and set tactics to have him step in and protect me when my health was slow.

I always had him with me because it was just pretty hilarious seeing a stick thhin elf carrying around a gigantic assed sword and owning everybody in the room XD I lol everytime!

Varric was seriously my best friend in the game. I took him almost everywhere. Sometimes I would switch him out, but rarely. I loved his banter. I loved that he basically had no problems with anything I could do (since I was always sarcastic or, when the occasion called for it, diplomatic), though he didn't like it when I gave away the smuggler lady's cargo to the poor boy. I made it up to him, though, by joking with him at the Hanged Man later. I expected to like Varric, but I didn't expect for him to feel like a best friend to my Hawke. I hope she gets to see him again.

I also love that Fenris wears the Hawke (formerly Amell) family crest on his belt, and ties a red scarf around his wrist. I always imagine he took it while she was sleeping, because he knew she might hate him after he left and he wanted something of hers. Even if you romance someone else, he still wears it. It makes me happy...

Speaking of that red band on his arm... got to the "romance scene" again yesterday and if you watch, after he says "it was fine!", it looks like he's looking at the red band(which has only JUST appeared with the after-sex scene); scene cuts to Hawke, who sort of looks to their side, almost like they're looking at their hair(or realizing that a lock is now tied around his wrist?). I know that I, as well a few others, mentioned that it could be a lock of Hawke's hair tied up in that ribbon, and I had always figured Hawke's side glance as more of an "I don't believe you" thing, but... it's still interesting if you try and look at that scene differently. :)
Despite the fact that you can make your Hawke blonde or bald, I still like to think that it is a lock of hair with that ribbon.

I think I should be clearer. It doesn't make me happy that Hawke moves on and he doesn't. Because, really, I never could begin a romance with someone else after Fenris walked out. I was faithful until the end. I knew he would come around. I only know he still wears it because I've been told. It makes me happy that, even though he walked out, he's still in love with Hawke. And he still cares for Hawke if she (or he) moves on. He tells Anders he'll kill him if he breaks her (or his) heart.
