I never thought of it as anything other than a favor. It's a sign of his loyalty and, for lack of a better word, devotion.

Also, still on the subject of the red band/ribbon thing... I assume Fenris didn't run off to the market real quick while Hawke slept or something... which means it would have had to come from somewhere/something in the house... probably Hawke's... what do you think it came from, exactly?

A little while ago I mentioned how I like to imagine he found a scarf of hers while she was sleeping, and kept it. Really? That just makes me sad. If Hawke is going to move on, he should too. For his own sake
I think I should be clearer. It doesn't make me happy that Hawke moves on and he doesn't. Because, really, I never could begin a romance with someone else after Fenris walked out. I was faithful until the end. I knew he would come around. I only know he still wears it because I've been told. It makes me happy that, even though he walked out, he's still in love with Hawke. And he still cares for Hawke if she (or he) moves on. He tells Anders he'll kill him if he breaks her (or his) heart.
Well, my point still stands regardless of whether or not you personally did it. It just makes me sad to think that for all these years anyone (not exclusive to Fenris) would still be clinging with sentimentality to someone who has clearly moved on. During the three years that passed when neither of them had moved on and their status was a bit more nebulous, I understand it better. There is some banter with Isabela that suggests that she and Fenris become invovled. Though, I don't know if that happens only if you don't romance him at all, or if it can happen if you romance him, then let him go.
You could also take it as he keeps the token as a memento of the love he had for Hawke. Even if he moves on eventually, he would still remember the feelings he had for Hawke. After all, she (or he) changed his life drastically, whether a friend or rival.

After you become Champion, when you examine the writing desk in the library Hawke complains about the parties in Kirkwall requesting the presence of the Champion. I always imagine her showing up in full armor, slightly bloody, with Fenris at her side, looking fairly unpresentable. It serves them right for inviting the mage who personally killed the Arishok. She likes battles, not parties.

From what I understand, you can romance both Fenris and Isabella without affecting any other romances, however, if you have Merrill or Anders move in, it automatically removes any other flagged romances. So it's possible to romance all 4, and keep whoever the last one is.

Edit: So, after rewatching that scene^^^... say Fenris' white hair is a result of the lyrium(or stress or whatever you like)... would that mean that his hair used to be gingery-red, like his sisters'?

I wonder about Anders too. You can have a fling with Isabela. It actually helps your friendship, though I've never done it. I am unable to stop myself from flirting with Fenris. It's an uncontrollable reaction. I casually flirt with Anders, but nothing serious. Fenris is the only one for me.
Also, in my guide it says it's not advisable to flirt with others after officially beginning your romance (for Fenris I believe this would be in Act II after "A Bitter Pill" quest). Does anyone know what happens? Is it anything special, or is it more of a "it'll screw up your current romance in a roundabout kind of way"?

I've never thought of what his hair color might've been or if it even have changed. My guess is that it used to be red and the lyrium turned it white.
