I'm romancing the only elf I find hot and sexy in all of Thedas.

Does he move in with Hawke? or are we stuck doing sexy times in the abandoned mansion?

What, you don't like the dead bodies he keeps around for years?
...Image IPB
You have the option of inviting him to move in(and I THINK he accepts), but he never really shows up, it seems.

What? lame! I guess that works. I liked that Anders would hang out in the mansion so I expected the same with Fenris. Oh well. He's a permanent member of my party so I guess it doesn't matter.

Oh god that video of him telling Hawke "I need you..." It breaks my pixel heart......that option was there only for all the Fenris haters.....:crying:

I do plan on playing a heartless b!tch eventually, so I'll have to choose that option... but I am going to arm myself, beforehand, with a mountain of tissues and plenty of comfort-chocolate. Image IPB

Okay, enough is enough. This game is frustrating the hell out of me. Can't keep Isabela, can't continue Fenris's romance, I think I've just about had it. >=(

Heeee I never tried the flirt option on the first dialogue you have with him after going to hunt Danarius in the mansion.  He does the cutest embarrassed laugh and cough.  Made a video here.

I've realized that my gameplay logic is beyond fixing....there are a few things I can't see myself doing because it will make me feel like crap or annoyed later......

1) I won't ever kill Anders
2) I won't get Sebastian because I'll have to kill Anders if I want to romance him
3) I don't upgrade a robe/armor if it looks ugly
4) I won't romance Anders while romancing Fenris because the poor guy has a crappy pixel life and viceversa
5) I won't turn Fenris in to his old master because I can't sand to see his puppy sad face.....
6) I change my PC face all the time if it looks weird in some lighting with the black emporium...

Yes! Image IPB I always have to choose that option for his reaction.
And so far, he's the most fun to flirt with. He has such varrying reactions. Like when you flirt with him when he asks if you want to hear the story of how he got away. He gets this cute little smirk. Image IPB

After you become Champion, when you examine the writing desk in the library Hawke complains about the parties in Kirkwall requesting the presence of the Champion. I always imagine her showing up in full armor, slightly bloody, with Fenris at her side, looking fairly unpresentable. It serves them right for inviting the mage who personally killed the Arishok. She likes battles, not parties.

Now I'm imagining Hawke dragging Fenris along to some boring party. ... Really, would this go well with ANY of the LIs? The only one that would probably be even slightly in their element is Isabela, and I can't imagine she'd make a good impression on the snooty nobles when she drinks all of their liquor and suggests the night end with an orgy. :P

That's exactly my point. NONE of them would fit at a party. lol

Not my Hawke, and certainly not Fenris. But she would force him to go because if she had to be miserable and play the part of nobility, she was going to at least have some fun by putting Fenris through the same boredom. After all, when she forgave him she did say it might be fun to hold it over his head for awhile longer. This is just her holding it over his head. ;)

They're the most awesomely inappropriate couple in Kirkwall society!  I dunno about the Kirkwallers, but the Orlesians would probably love it if a barbarian mage and a lyrium-tattooed former slave showed up at parties.

Bah, now I want to see Fenris in some fancy, super-detailed suit. Image IPB
...and hiding in a corner with a bottle of wine or three, smirking or death-glaring at anyone who comes too close.
Except for Hawke. Hawke might be sharing the spirits. Image IPB

Have you guys seen this yet?

:crying:

I think my heart... just broke a little. :crying:

WOW...I wanted my Hawke to go in and kill that person's Hawke and Anders too. I was ok with Anders, but now I see he is such a bastard if you don't agree with him. Fenris wants mages in the circle because he believes it will protect them from themselves and from harming others, but I see no justifiable reason why a person would want someone to suffer the life of a Tevinter slave. Sebastian even tried talking Fenris into turning Merrill and Anders over to the Templars, but he refused and not to mention his disgustin betrayal in ACT III. My reasons for sparing him from execution are diminishing. Damn I need a spare heal mage!

Ah, Danarius has such a wonderful swagger at the end there.

I was inclined to hand over Fenris, just as I was with Isabela, since I play a blood mage and we don't get along very well. Alas, I wanted a full party for my first playthrough. Perhaps next time. . .

Of course, then Fenris said those absolutely heartless, cruel, and devastating things to Merrill after her tragedy, and I wanted to rend his innards with blood magic right then and there. I really regret not giving him up now.

Wait. This thread is filled with Fenris fans, isn't it? I, err . . . always keep him in my party because he's a capable fighter? And he, uh, has interesting things to say about the magisters?

Please don't hurt me. :(

edit: Err, here's an informational offering to appease your wrath. When you offer Fenris to Danarius and have a rivalry (and no romance) with him, he says "I know we're not friends, but... I can't take them without you" (more or less).

What act can you move him in? I just romanced him in act 2 and he ran off before the bed was even cold.

And jesus crap that video was heartbreaking. Altho I'll give Anders the benefit of the doubt and think he was joking, and had assumed the champion was joking.

Merrill rather deserved all of that. Everyone had been telling her she was being an idiot and she didn't listen. It was a harsh lesson, but kind of necessary. Fenris is blunt and brutally honest, is all.

Edit: @ the above post: Act 3, after his quests.

How is that true at all? Merrill knew the risks and she was willing to sacrifice herself in an attempt to make things better for her people. How can she be held accountable for a decision made by somebody else? She assumed the risks precisely to insulate the others from them, and the keeper ruined all of that because she didn't trust her, and because she was perfectly happy to ignorantly fear the unknown.

Considering Merrill is an idiot who gets her entire clan slaughtered because she can't let go of a demonic mirror that KILLS PEOPLE?  I wanted to boot her out of the party after her quests to be honest.  Fenris was the only love interest who didn't ****** me off, seriously

"gets her entire clan slaughtered" is an interesting way of saying "gets mercilessly attacked by unimaginative sheep who are so self-centered that they strike out at anything that seems remotely different." The Keeper takes in a pride demon *willingly* and Merrill is the one that gets the blame?

One might as well blame Fenris for being so angry. Wait, he willingly got those implants? He competed for those? How awful! Let's judge him now even though he was thinking of his family when he did it!

Sound familiar?

Merrill IS to blame, she's the one who contacted and brought the demon into the clan's life.  Her actions directly resulted in the Keeper trying to protect her.  If Merrill wasn't a ****** thinking that summoning demons was a good thing, none of it would have happened.

Also, if you listen to the dialogue he was thinking of his family, he competed to free them from slavery.  doesn't mean his sister liked what he did, but it certianly wasn't the result of complete stupidity.

Keep in mind Merril KNOWS what the damned mirror did! Yet she's willing to work with DEMONS, bringing them into her clan's life to fix it. She ADMITS in banter with Anders that she knew the risks of making a deal with a demon. She also knew the keeper had a responsibility to PROTECT THE CLAN (this is why Keeper Meretheri moved the clan in Origins). Which is what she was doing, Merill is still part of the clan, and because of her meddling with demons Mthe Keeper stepped up to protect her. I love Merill, but she has to take a large chunk of the blame. If she hadn't made the deal with the demon, none  of the tragedy would have happened.

While I don't hate Merrill--in fact I was good friends with her, though I did get quite a few rivalry points for not backing up all her blood magic endeavors--I do think what happened was her fault. The Mirror killed Tamlen and took the Dalish Warden away. My canon playthrough of Origins was Mahariel and I used it for my canon DAII file. My Warden would have few choice words for her former clanmember. That mirror corrupted the Warden and forced her to live outside the clan as if she were dead to them. She would hate it that Merrill was destroying herself to restore that damn thing.

Merrill knew the Mirror had evil properties, knew it was dangerous, yet she was blinded by a need for the past. Wanting to understand it is one thing, though reviving it is another.

I actually took responsibility for Merrill, which prevented the death of the clan (though I was surprised by the amount of rivalry points I got from her. Seriously? Would you rather I kill all your people? I mean, we can turn around and do that. You know I'd win), and I remember Fenris saying something, but I don't remember being bothered by it. He was blunt. I wouldn't want him any other way. I also don't think it bothered me because my Hawke was a mage and I knew he didn't hate me (his friendship meter was the second to max out for me), and I was vehemently opposed to blood magic, so...

Good gods, I never want to leave Fenris and Isabela alone together. I just completed Alone. We exit the Hanged Man and right exactly then Isabela starts this incredible piece of work ( not exactly as she said but close enough )

Isabela: Could you add some smolder to the routine?
Fenris: Smolder?...
Isabela: Yes and some cold insolence.
Fenris: You want me to be smolder and cold? Those two don't work together.
Isabela: Hush. Stop ruining my logic

YES!! My Dalish is rolling of her in Vigil's Keep with her SHORTENED LIFESPAN! right now going "WTF MERRIL YOU DIP****!" You even take her TO the Mirror, she kmnows Tamlens dead, or gone, she knows Warden Mahariel almost6 died had it not been for the Warden's recruiting her. She KNOWS why it was destroyed, Duncan explained it.
