Yeah, when he didn't "move in", since the guide said the LI was supposed to, I thought I did something wrong even though we made up after the "Alone" quest. At first I didn't really think anything was wrong, but then I got the little banter between Fenris and Anders when they talk about our break up, even though we had just gotten back together. And when Anders stops you during his last companion quest and questions the reasons why I would want Fenris around I can still choose the option "He left me". But it was too late to start over so I breathed a sigh of relief when I got the achievement during the final battle.

Yeah I think the "he left me" was supposed to happen before you make up, which is wierd say if you did the Fenris quest before...

Yes, he is adorably shy at the start. 
That's another thing I like about him...he might be shy or just very guarded at the start, but he responds to your flirting, even if I had the impression he was mainly teasing or just avoiding the subject at the beginning of the romance. Through the years slowly he finally convinced himself, or simply couldn't resist anymore
I like his romance more, because you have the feeling you are really working to get break the walls of his guarded heart. You tease, you befriend (or get a rival), you get intimate and then he runs away but you have to remain faithful...3 years without talking about it are a lot, but Fenris remains, as we can see in the banters, concerned and protective about you. So I guess Hawke knows  even before he explains himself. 
Anders on the contrary practically throws himself at you, maybe he just shows more than Fenris his desire to not be alone, but really, I had a hard time trying to avoid his flirting without hurting him.

You know, I think of Fenris as a bit like Zevran as well.  Angsty, sexy elves with amazing voices, both of them.

An interesting aside...  One of Fenris' ambient comments after things are settled between him and Hawke is "I am yours."  That made me start.

I MEANT FENRIS.. and second mage play through and my fen-mance was going along swimmingly and then BAM, rivalry points.

I think I need to reload to the start and just rival-mance him instead. Boy is hard to friend with out being an utter tool to everyone. I'm only about a quarter into his friendship.. I'm not even that far in with anders and he's all "BE MY GODDESS"<_<

I have a quick question for anybody to answer.

During Act II, after I got the initial scene with Fenris, I went into the Hanged Man and was going to give Isabela a gift, but instead I got a conversation about my relationship with Fenris, totally out of the blue. I read somewhere that Varric will mention a relationship with Anders to you. I was wondering if anyone encountered any other random dialogues like this, or whether who comments on your relationship is predetermined by who you actually have the relationship with. Or if these little dialogues will pop up other times. I don't think I had a journal entry at the time telling me to talk to her because I hadn't gotten to her companion quest yet (considering it's at the end of the Act) and like I said, she didn't accept the gift in that conversation. I had to talk to her again to actually give her the gift.

Also, does your former love interest ever talk about you dumping them if you move on to someone else? I did create a save, then prodded Anders a little just to see his romance scene, but I quickly reloaded because I felt guilty for cheating on Fenris, so I would never be able to see such a dialogue.

After I killed the Harvester and clicked on Merrill (who wasn't in my active party, but only a sideline participant) she said something about how she wished she was wearing shoes with soles. I laughed a little because Orsino's blood was all over the Gallows, and I wanted to say "NOW do you understand?"

Also, when I crushed the Harvesters head with my foot in the game my initial reaction was "Ooooh. THAT'S what those spikes on my heels are for!"

I don't know if the other Champion armors come with the curved hooks on the back of the boots, but the mage robes do...

On the subject of the lack of shoes with them elves: While prancing through the wounded coast, on one of the little "off roads" from the bigger main paths, I caught Fenris making a comment about walking through dirt, and how he can't understand how the Dalish like this(or something along those lines). Fen, darling, if you wore shoes it wouldn't be a problem.
...though I actually like that elves don't wear shoes. Am I the only one?

I got Anders disapproving of a Fenris romance (video).  It was out of the blue as well, no idea how they determine who comments and when.

ejoslin said that if you hit Anders on the rebound, Fenris comments on it in banters, threatening what he's going to do if Anders hurts her etc.

Wasn't Merrill responding to the call of a demon that appeared to her while she was asleep?  I got the feeling that was the cause of her obsession -- the demon.  She thinks she has a handle on it, but her in the fade shows that to be untrue.  She ended up doing things she never would have considered before, blood magic, abandoing her clan...  In fact, even the blood magic was guided by the demon.

She's not possessed, but I do think she is under the influence of the demon, but I also think what she did may end up having far reaching consequences.  It will be interesting to see if that gets tied in anywhere.

He does and it's awesome.  Also Merrill will tell Fenris he's in love with Hawke if they've made love ever (I've seen this both while in an active romance with Fenris and in an active romance with Anders after Fenris left).  This can be a reassuring banter to hear.  I'm sure there are more.

Leandra also will comment about your LI in a conversation.

The dialogs you can have with companions won't show up in a journal unless it is quest related (like a gift, or something that actually is a quest).  There are more conversations you can have with your companions than show up in your journal, though not many.

See, now I feel like I cheated myself, because other than that one Isabela dialogue I never went and had conversations with my companions when it wasn't quest related. Do you know when these might trigger? Or are you talking about the conversations when your companions show up to talk to your dog? Because I've had those.

Oh, I also knew about the Anders disapproval of Fenris. It's triggered when you begin his last companion quest in Act III. And he initiates it, not you. See, I initiated the conversation with Isabela so I was wondering if there were other little dialogues like that lying around...I'm also not counting party banter, but actual conversation when my Hawke initiates conversation with a companion.

Yeah, they all have the spurs, I think warrior and rogue have bigger ones xD And claw gauntlets. Speaking of claw gauntlets, I think my enjoyment of Fenris is directly proportional to how spiky his gloves are and how many pouches there are on his belt. The more pouches the better, I say.
