So I've only heard some banter from Isabela flirting with Fenris but there was one that had me LOL so hard. She's asking him about what he did for his old master and at the end it's almost as if Isabela was writing a Fenris fanfic. Hilarious.

So I don't have Isabela in my party much but does Fenris and her actually get together? I've read somewhere else someone claims they slept together or something...

YES, they slept together in my playthrough where Hawke got with Anders after Fenris left.  I'm not sure of all the conditions for triggering it (my guess is Hawke and Fenris got together, then Hawke hooked up with someone other than Isabela after Fenris left), but here is the banter.  They had sex.  They're making plans on doing it again.  It's sex.

Oh wow~ LOL that's kind of awesome outside of my romance with Fenris. Isabela likes him right away when you put them in the party...I just didn't expect Fenris to go for it. I'm sure if this was Anders pre-DA2 he would've gotten some too with Isabela but he's too busy brooding ove mages' freedom....

Thanks! :wizard:

He already did.
I recall one banter where she said she had met him at the Pearl in Denerim at some point...or something to that effect. She said that she remembered a thing he could do with his hands that involved sparks.

:D

Edit: Here it is, I guess they may or may not have. Who knows?

  • Anders: I keep thinking I know you from somewhere.
  • Isabela: You're Ferelden, right? Ever spend time at the Pearl?
  • Anders: That's it! You used to really like that girl with the griffon tattoos, right? What was her name?
  • Isabela: The lay warden?
  • Anders: That's right! I think you were there the night that I...
  • Isabela: Oh! Were you the runaway mage who could do that electricity thing? That was nice!
  • Varric: I... don't think I need to know this about either of you.

Wow. That is really...disappointing. Fenris had so many doubts about his intimacy and had such a powerful experience when he finally succumbs to Hawke that it takes him another THREE YEARS to come to terms with it. I can't believe he sleeps with HER. And is planning on doing it again, so quickly.

The only way I can rationalize this is if you go to Anders after Fenris leaves you. Because I could see him being heartbroken and jealous and sleeping with Isabella (who thinks of sex as just physical and avoids love at all costs) is his way of renouncing any possiblilty of love all toghether.

it's the intimacy that scared him, Isabela makes that a non issue by not wanting intimacy herself so it's win/win for both of them.

*cough*  It could go either way.  Maybe it's cards...*doesn't want to think about Fenris getting it with Isabella, meaningless fling or not*

Heh, denial is a funny thing. Their conversations are fairly unambiguous. Why shouldn't they hook up, if Hawke isn't gonna pursue it? I like that they're not waiting around for Hawke to love them, especially when s/he never expressed interest.

Hahahaha, I think it's a good thing personally.  It didn't stop me from feeling punched in the gut since the previous few banters really implied that Fenris was still in love with Hawke and I did want her to leave Anders and get back wtih Fenris.  BUT I think it's good that companions can actually get over the amazingness that is Hawke.  It's been three years.  It would be worse if he were just sitting alone in his mansion, brooding.

Guys, there is no "intimacy" between Isabela and Fenris. She had her boobs out, Fenris had his booze on, there was meaningless brosex had, and not a single traumatic flashback was had that day.

The reason Fenris leaves Hawke is because of that exact intimacy he doesn't have with Isabela. Fenris and Isabela ****, Fenris is okay. Hawke and Fenris ~*make love*~, Fenris can't put his head back together for years because it affected him so much.

I wish there were other triangles or other companions hooking up, almost seems like Bioware wanted to anger us *ARGHHH*

I jest, I jest.

I would never leave Fenris anyway, he is too lovely.

Be interesting if it was vice versa and she slept with anders if you went back to fenris...?

LOL  You win.  Just because the first part is made of hilarious.  :P

Still, it's never out right stated that they're doing anything, except that they both had fun and plan to do it again.  Maybe it's sex, maybe it's cards and drinks, maybe it's something weird and kinky that I don't want to know about.  They're doing something.  Personally, I'm interested to see if that convo still happens if Hawke doesn't bang the mage.
I'm on my 3rd playthrough.  Not sure how I'm handling the romances this time.  >.>;  I might let Hawke have some meaningless sex with Isabella...

Look at it as a compliment. Isabela goes after Fenris instead of Anders or Varric or Sebastian because he's hot as hell. It means you have good taste!

No, honestly, I think the reason is because Fenris and 'Bela are ESTABLISHED as being really, really good friends. They're pals. Isabela and Anders, not so much, but Fenris and Isabela get along SUPER well. Why wouldn't they have sex?

Well, Anders is single-minded and crazy. When you romance him he pretty much says that he thought "that part" of his life was over,so I think Hawke was the exception. Fenris, on the other hand, seems to like doing it :P It's not an emotionally intimate thing with Isabela, but why can't they be **** buddies if Hawke isn't going after either? It makes them feel more alive if they... interact with each other if they're not getting it from you.

Agreed.  Though Isabela doesn't like Anders and tells him so.

As an aside, I really prefer this system where you learn about your companions through banters than through dialogs.  Gah, I never thought I'd like this system when I heard about it :/

I didn't get that specific banter in my non-romanced playthrough, but they were flirting a lot (I got the spiky armor one). I wish Isabela hadn't abandoned my ass so I could have gotten the rest xD I was full rival and not romancing him, not any of my business what/who he chooses to do in his spare time, nor does it diminish the relationship he has with Hawke, since he shuts Isabela down if they are together.

She likes his fancy magic tricks* from their time at the Pearl though.

That dialogue made me laugh so hard. A glimmer of old Anders!

*haha. The Pearl. Magic... trick. Bahaha. *falls over* I'll let myself out...

She hits on Varric too. She makes compliments about his chest hair and when he asks her if she wants to touch it, she nearly has an orgasm

But then she reaches the topic that should never be touched when it comes to Varric: Bianca.

I'd agree if the banters weren't so completely random. I haven't heard most of them and I'm on my second go. If you don't meet certain criteria such as party makeup, travel location etc you never hear certain ones. I'll take the old way.

See, I said this in a very long post awhile ago: but I had no trouble romancing Fenris as a friend. In fact, he was the second person (Aveline being the first) who maxed out on the friendship meter. But I also hated blood magic and never even listened to demons. I turned them down flat the moment they opened their mouths which made Fenris happy. They only time I didn't take him on a quest was for the 'Wayward Son' quest. Even then I took him to the meeting with the slavers so he could phase fist the guy to get him to talk, then help me murder all the slavers. Only took him out of the party because I knew I was going to let the kid go to the Dalish.

Good to know!  I'll give it a try.  Thanks Evindell :wizard:.  There's lots of great advice on this thread, but it also moves at the speed of light!  Every time I come back here, there are like 5 more pages

Your welcome :wizard: (random wizard, just 'cause)! Aside from his initial reaction when he found out I was a mage (to which I replied I only wanted to survive) and when I took him to the Gallows and he commented on the way it was like a prison, yet he still approved, I merely talked to him, then told him the Chantry was broken (I only got +5 rivalry for that) and that was the end of our rivalry, because, like I said I left him out of the 'Wayward Son' quest and never (I mean never) approved of blood magic, we were a-okay. By the time I really got around to Merrill's sidequests I was already maxed out on his friendship meter so he was completely loyal.

P.S. I love taking him to the Gallows, because even though I only flirted with him twice before that, he shows a little concern for me being there, surrounded by Templars. I always reassure him I'll be careful. It makes me smile inside.

P.P.S (or is it P.S.S.?) I like how Carver desperately wants to get out of my shadow, so he joins the Templars, and you know what happens? I STILL beat him. Yeah, he's a Templar, but I'm the Champion of f ****ing Kirkwall...and everybody knows I'm a mage too. Beat that bro!

Hello, I finished my first play-through last night and though I was a little bit dissapointed with DA2's ending, at least my Lady Hawke's romance arc with Fenris was completely satisfying.

I must admit, that I was not sooo keen on Fenris when he was first introduced. For my taste, he seemed to fall too much into the "bad boy" category.

Then I heard his voice in one of the previews and I thought: "Wow!"

Now, after getting to know him and actually finding him one of the most decent characters in the whole game (and my femHawke actually sided with the mages!) I think, I am a Fenris fan-girl.

The thing, that really won me over was the encounter with Zevran. Fenris had actually ended the relationship after his one night with Hawke and she was pretty heart broken about it. Then they met Zevran and she thought, why not flirting a little with a guy who finally seems to appriciate her and all of a sudden Fenris gets all jealous and possessive.

That was so cute, my Hawke got all hopeful again and in the end it paid of. It is nice to know, that wherever she is, Fenris is with her... *sigh*

I've seen that before...somewhere...though I never get it myself cause I can't bear to actually keep the file when I switched to Anders. I only wanted to see the scene. I didn't want to keep it.

However, that video cuts out part of what Fenris says. He says something like "Don't bare your heart to me, mage. Or I'll rip it out." Something like that. Just thinking about how upset he must be makes me sad. Too bad I'm at school right now. I want to go home and hug him. Gawd! I have to finish this stupid paper!

But he tells Hawke that he has had sex with NO ONE since he lost his memory. He has this crazy thing with Hawke, has sex with her, leaves, Hawke either moves on or decides not to stay, and he goes and has sex with Isabella like its nothing. It took so much coercing, conversations, killing people, and a super dramatic glowing rage to get Fenris to succumb.

If it was the intimacy he was scared of why didn't he have loveless sex with a random person before he met Hawke? He had no sex for years upon years because of his...issues, and Hawke breaks him out of it. But what does Isabella do besides have giant boobs?

I guess it's good that he can move on and take that good part of the relationship with Hawke, which was being able to be intimate with someone again. It's a testament that Hawke changed him and influnced him enough so he could grow, whether they stayed with Hawke or not.

It still makes me want to punch him though.
