I'm also glad that, despite it being a Gaider-written romance, it does not make me cry tears of blood the way some of them do. Hee.

This made me laugh. *fistbump*

Honestly didn't know who I'd romance first -- Fenris or Sebastian, but Fenris won out because Sebastian took too damn long to join the party. (I thought I messed up because he wasn't showing up in the companion selection screen and figured I'd get him next run, but then he joined in Act 2 and it was too laaaaaaaate.)

Alistair's can be a tear jerker. Esp if you aren't a human noble, don't do the ritual, and take him with you on the final fight. Real rollercoaster ride. I love you Alistair. Omg, seriously? I hate you Alistair. Then noooooooo!!!! Alistair!!!! I shall love you always!!!!! Well it was for me at least, I don't know if I did something wrong but freaking Alistair wouldn't let me take the final blow so I got his touching goodbye. Sadness. :(

You didn't do anything wrong :)  That's what's supposed to happen.

But Addai is right -- David Gaider wrote Alistair, Zevran, and Morrigan.  So I was nervous about how Fenris would end (fortunately, he took the more Zevran-esque ending).

And I spy an ejoslin! *wave*

I forgot Gaider wrote Zev.....I should have my Zev-fangirl card revoked for that... But I'm glad Fen's romance turned out the way it did. I think my next playthrough will be a rival-mance with Fen, just to see how that works out. This playthrough (A pro-templar/circle apostate*yes, she's crazy*) was a friend-mance.

And I squeed over all the kisses you get with Fen. Especially the glowy kiss...

Just dropping in to say this - Fenris is too cute, he laughs at my Hawke's jokes and isn't as bloody minded as the forums led me to believe he would be. What a sweetheart.

I could have called that Image IPB

Fenris says as much, when you let him kill her. "I would have given you everything." my heart = broke'd with that(and then fixed with the look he gives Hawke for saying "I'm here!")

Ok so I have a question for those who have romanced Fenris and Anders at the same time.

I want to keep Fenris for my mage Lady Hawke at the end but I'd thought I fool around with Anders too.

I'm in Act 2, had the romance scene with Fenris, bastard left. I go to Anders and he's ready for sexy times too. My question is if I can fool around with Anders, all the way to the steamy bits without having him live in the mansion?

I know Fenris romance continues in Act 3 but I'm just wondering if I can keep Anders from thinking the relationship is too serious? L

I feel bad for doing that but eh~ He did leave Lady Hawke.....

Once you have the scene where Fenris walks out, you can't have sexy timez with anyone else.  He won't be back then.

Not 100% positive about this, but pretty sure.

You're right.  Once you do the nasty with someone else, it's over forever with Fenris.  But if you pick Anders, you do get a couple of great banters.  Oh, and if you take Isabela and Fenris out around with you, you learn that they do have some common ground ;)

Which, really, really sucks, because poor Hawke has to go three years without getting any. He and his right hand will become very close, I guess.

My Lady Hawke had frequent visits to the Blooming Rose. For elven ~*prostitutes*~, since we apparently can't say ****.

Sadly, my M!Hawke can't do that. He finds the male elves at the Rose to be singularly creepy.

Haha, I did the same thing. Friendshipmance with apostate Hawke. Although Hawke wasn't exactly pro-templar so much as anti-mages running free to do whatever they want.

OH MAN. Forget the glowy kiss, that makeout at the end? I think I've watched it a couple dozen times now and it never gets any less hot.

Btw did you notice that Ser Gaider has a particular love for crazy i-will-betray-or-want-yer-money sisters?

Alistair's clearly didn't lay down a table for him...i expected something different from Fenris' sister. But no, she betrays him and at the end tells Fenris that he received the better end of the bargain. How? He suffered a lot to free her and their mother, not only during the experiment but after as well. She could have at least appreciated that. The only good thing that happened to him is that he met Hawke...if his sister would have been nice i am 100% sure Fenris would have put the moon at her feet.

Aaaand Carver's a ****...not sure if he's written by the Grand Poobah as well, but he sure does have the same syndrome. Tho i got attached to him.

Aww, I loved Carver. He was the bratty little brother. Speaking as someone that's always wanted siblings, it was great to have. No matter how snotty he got, he loves you.

As for Fenris' sister... they were all slaves, I believe, until Fenris - Leto back then - fought for and won their freedom. That says a lot about him, sure, but I can't imagine it's easy to be a magister, either. Especially knowing what you know as a slave. I don't think he considers that. He sees only the mage part of his sister. Tragic. However, I do think that, in time, he can be reasoned with to see things more neutrally, considering he's very reasonable already. He just needs time.

Ok, OT here...

You know, Fenris has his own roadblock there.  But yes, far less navigatoin!

But Gaider STILL manages to stick the knife in a little.  Seriously, you get the man you love running out on you after a night of sex, you have another man making it really clear he loves loves loves you (Anders).  So if you move on, you get to hear various companions either talk about how Fenris still loves Hawke, you get to hear Fenris be super protective, you get to hear about Fenris' sex life that doesn't involve Hawke...

Yeh, the reward for staying with Fenris is fabulous.  But gah, he still manages to give a gut-punch feeling anyway if you don't :D

Okay, yeah, that ending kiss was hot. So... glowy kiss and ending make-out are both hot in their own rights.

Edit:  *hug* been okay. Happy to be back to the forum.

Yeah... havng Fen walk out like that after one night was painful... but something about Fen's personality said he wouldn't be gone for good. He's not the type to leave things unfinished.

That's what she said! :wizard:

Sorry, I can't help myself.

But yes; agreed. And when he appears, firstly when Momma kicks the bucket, and secondly in Act 3 with the knightly favor - come on. Something kept happening even if it was passive. And I think it's nice that, for once, it's the LI that needs the step back and not the PC.

Exactly my point. Fenris didn't need a guide he is much  less complicated than Zev was.

I won't see half of that, unless I get really bored once school ends while I'm trying to plan a cross country move and deal with ...oh ack STRESS...where was I?

Oh That wasn't so much an issue. My hawke had no desire to even blink when Anders flirted, she took the risk once and got burned, quite enough for her. She was all business until Fenris asked forgiveness, and even then made him explain his actions before she forgave him.

Does Fenris even have a guide? I just asked a few questions here. ejoslin wrote the comprehensive how to navigate the Arainai Sea (zevran's Romance) guide, and with all his bugs and twitches and quirks I'd never have gotten it right. Between the guide and Gilsa I managed to not only romance Zev twice but fall in love with playing Dwarves!

Me too!  I stayed fairly spoiler free, only knowing which NPCs were LIs.  I faced my first pt making decisions based only on what I thought my PC would do, keeping all metagaming thoughts out of my mind.  I ended up in a rivalmance with Fenris, and everyhting was PERFECT.  I wouldn't change a thing.

I acutally ifnd it hard to play another PC, because nothing will compare to the emotions and gut-punches I had with that first playthrough.

I wanted to make sure I hit every possible Friend-point I could early on for Fen. Since my mage Lady Hawke (see avvie) is pure support(Spirit Healer with a point or two in Force Mage for the occasional help), I didn't need Anders. So I ran Fen, Varric and Isabela. That is a fun party.

I'm expecting to play through the game several times to romance everyone at least once. Including Seb. From there, I will figure out who will be my main romance-source, Fen or Anders.

My first playthrough was the same, I grabbed a default mage an ran headlong into it. I found myself with Anders first of course, and agreeing with all the anti templar, anti chantry stuff. It was the hot romance start and middle, and the end suckerpunched me to the jaw. Mind you I was barely two weeks after several tooth extractions and in misery already!  I played so fast trying to see everyone and everything I missed getting approvals up (or to rivals) or getting to know anyone, because I only had a few days left of Spring Break at that point. Now breaks over, I'm swamped with 4 classes to get my 12 credits for the semester and I can't play very much:(

Me too!  Of course, the only thing that saved me was Anders approval was neutral so I couldn't romance him.  But when Fenris came to comfort her after mom died, it did seem that things weren't really over.

In fact, for my head canon, I figure they started seeing each other again at that point, but backed WAY the hell off -- otherwise the 3 year gap makes NO sense.

Where are there even guides besides the Zev one for this? I've romanced Alistair, Anders, and Fen so far and have yet to see a guide?
