oh im not saying there wasnt confirmation between them. i'm just saying there's certain dialogues (banters and the anders confrontation) MEANT for when theyre "broken up" that still happen after getting back together. its only a very tiny gripe. still easily the best romance i've seen in a game. if only because of how expressive his character can be.

also he DOES say to anders that "it is done". that means they broke up. regardless of the fact they still were more or less a non-physical couple.

Which is why I kept Anders away, so I can have my "They didn't break up, they're just not sleeping together" fantasy. Hellfires, even if I let Anders into my party, I will ignore that banter.

So I'm in Act 2, Fenris just left my Lady Hawke. I understand there are gifts for him? In my first playthrough when I romanced Anders, I know I gave him a sword, I think it was Act 3 but is that it?

Act 2, at the Alienage at night, in a sack, there is a book. In that book are words. Words that will woo Fenris. Or, if you are rivalmancing, he'll yell at you. Rough wooing. Somewhat romantic.

The book you can give him is in the alienage in Act 2. Can't remember if it's a certain time of day, or after a certain point, cuz I couldn't find it at first and forget how I did.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves Fenris as their all time fav media romance! DA2 is seriously a gaming masterpiece on every level, but the companions and relationships are unparalleled....and I love it! DA is easily my fav gaming series and I am always left anxious for more! I hope there will be more Fenris to come in DLC's or brought back again in another game...this just can't be the end for him ( my inner Fengirl has an insatiable desire for more)

Also for the first time ever I am super jealous of PC gamers, I can't do mods and screencaps on my PS3..

Funny how different the rivalmance seemed to me.  The friendmance was so so sweet, and the rivalmance was just so tense.  I loved them both.  I'm doing a friendmance again with him, but you know, I kind of miss the fighting!

i prefer friendmance simply because you already see his combative side so much. its refreshing to see his super sweet side.

my only gripe with the entire romance was a lack of recognition that Fenris and Hawke get back together. no additional banters, no altered situations. it wouldn't be so bad if the final personal quest couldn't be done soon as you start the act, and thus, rekindle the romance immediately.

i have trouble switching to anders.  the way he goes after hawke just creeps me out.  o.o  like he only does it out of jealousy. or when i play mages he gives off the huge "omg youre a mage too? were soulmates!" even when i treat him as terrible as i can.

Anders creeps me out as well.  There's just something that hits me the wrong way.  And doing his romance -- I literally felt trapped.  It was interesting how that made me feel.

About no one acknowledging them getting back together... that's why I kind of think they were never really apart.  I don't think their intimate life is something they would talk about with others, so people would just see the time they spend together.  But that is something that is just in my head to have it make sense to me.  How other people explain it is just as right (or wrong) as my version.

It's a weird thing because of the timeskip though.  It would have worked better had it been 6 months to a year.  So that's how I fill in the blanks.

Edit: Though, gah, Fenris DOES acknowledge he left Hawke. However, if you get that banter before he's at her house comforting her, that could be them patching things up, kind of?  *sigh*  dammit!  3 years is just TOO LONG!

It does kinda stink that after you hook up with him in Act 2 you don't get to be in a relationship again until Act 3.

But that make out scene in the courtyard before the final battle... phwawr... that makes up for it.

Now if only I could get him to move across Hightown from his Mansion to mine...

Well, she DOES mention it, but she's asking advice, not giving it.  Even Leandra approves, though  Hawke is probably in his/her late 20s when things turn sexy.  

I will say, I did like it that people were actually concerned about Hawke with Anders in act 3.  I would have found the same type of inquiry offensive about Fenris, but Anders at that point is becoming so unhinged that it's awesome that a couple of people ask if Hawke is really ok.

Edit: You know, I do like it that people are all, "You and Fenris," when they do start to get serious, but there isn't much more than that.  These are supposed to be people living their lives and by not acting all concerned or giving advice, it's showing respect for the relationship and the people in it.

The twins were 18 when the sibling dies.  Gamlen says something about 25 years since Leandra left with Malcolm. I would assume Hawke is 2 or 3 years older than the twins, probably not much more.

 I love love loved Fenris's Character the only thing that ruined him for me is that I could totally see weeabo's trying dress up/act like him at anime cons. Why oh why did he have to have that typical anime bad ass fomula that the weirdo's will want to emulate?

He's an ELF!  I think it's great she approves too -- it says a lot about her.

*grin* I still think Hawke being most likely between 25 - 29 when things turn sexy is the major reason you don't have people fussing about it.  She's not in danger, he's not insane nor an abomination, and he obviously is quite private. Though I would love an opportunity for a mean Hawke to say, "Mind your own damn business!"

Well one can phase punch someone's chest and the other is a naive blood mage so yeah they're pretty strange. It makes it better that she approves of the Fenris relationship.
