Yeah I'm fine with beliefs until they're shoved on me. Then I just get irriated. I was cool with Sten because he never forced the issue like the Qunari did in Kirkwall. 

Orsino was pushed to the edge. Still, it showed he was weak in the end. All I ask is for one strong central mage character that we can rely on. One that hasn't resorted to blood magic or terrorism to make a point. But since now the Circles have revolted and the world is on the brink of war, that guy is like the needle in a flaming haystack in the middle of a swamp.

He was desperate and yes weak. But most people are.

I have Hawke for a strong central incorruptable mage character who has used bloodmagic without making deals with demons or blowing things up. 

Hawke will be their shining symbol of the mage ideal.  

It's so..hateful in there I had to bow out. *cringes* So hateful. I hope it blows over soon.

Fenris betrayal is just...terrible. He doesn't fight it. He gives in. After all you did for him, after he thought he found someone to trust in, he finds out he is alone. He gives up without a fight and looks so dejected. Even if you hate Fenris, there is no way you can do that and not reload.

I could barely even watch it on youtube, much less do it on my game with a reload.

The ending kiss is the only scene I didn't spoil for myself yet. Almost at the end of the game, will prob beat it tomorrow. X_X

I know, I've been running from the spoilers for what feels like ages now. Didn't help that I got to the end of Act 2 and then had to restart  probably for the best anyway - I accidentialy ended up with serious Rivalry for Fenris but no romance - oops!

Romanced Anders on my first playthrough and didn't even finish Fenris's personal quest so I ended up killing him at the end. Playing through for a second time though I'm absolutely loving him! I give a little cheer every time I get rival points for him lol can't wait to have my sarky rogue infuriate him to the point of sweet rivalmance lovings!
Plus his voice ... when I'm in an echo-y place and I click on him that "Hawke" seems to vibrate down my spine XD also while I'm against him about mages I totally understand his point of view. I think he's been excellently written ... I don't think I'll be able to romance Anders ever again!

I hope you don't incontrovertibly mean that last part! I think Anders has a kind of pitiness about him, something that screams "give me a chance," maybe a little too desperate.

But Fenris definitely takes the cake. I'm doing my second playthrough romancing Fenris again but reserving Anders in my team to see that banter. Will romance Anders in my third playthrough as a mage.

Also, anyone else think of Goldanna when you found out Fenris had a sister?

Don't spoil yourself.  Everyone deserves to see that kiss for the first time on their own Hawke  But what he says, the kiss...  that scene is perfect!

Romancing Fen with Garrett Hawke is... yummy! Only halfway through the second play just now, can hardly wait to see how this plays out!
First playthrough I got serious with Andres, you know the whole sad kitten eyes did for me and I could not kill him in the end!

Anders is a good romace, but it's somewhat lacking after Fenris.
Fen is more fufilling; even in a rival romance than Anders at least for me. I didn't think I was going to like him, but he is so intellingent, so well written, the vioce casting was amazing (I would pay that guy just to sit and talk), and he has the passion that Anders was missing at the end. Plus his eyes. He has amazing eyes.

I don't see my self romancing Anders again either.

Oh man, I just realized that when I get around to my second playthrough (I just started Act 3) I will have to resist romancing Fenris again... I'd planned on checking all of the romances out at least once and had planned on going for Anders on my second run, but... I'm not sure I'll be able to go through the game without giving in to the sexy elf...
I'm not strong enough for that!

I was anguished when Anders was like *SAD KITTY EYES*"Templars are after me, i need lovins!" and I had to NOT offer him to live in my house. It broke my heart. I'm irritated a little bit that you can't friend-invite anders to a safer place. I would, even if I was head-over-heals for the mage hating elf.

Besides, imagine the banter! "I'm living with Hawke", "Yes, mage, but I'm loving her" "She deserves someone better then you, with your mage hate. You don't understand her at all" "I understand her in ways you will never be able to grasp, mage. Every night. Sometimes twice"

But, I really can't bring myself to ever romance Anders again I think. My Hawke's are all to Chantry-centric to let it slide. Clarity Hawke was very much where Anders was in the whole terrorism page, but my Angel Hawke is a good girl.

And by good girl, I mean dirty up against the wall elf lover:devil:

My female Hawkes always end up with Anders. My male ones always end up with Fenris. I'm not quite sure how this happens.

I have now created a second character that I will abandon before I get out of Lothering, because I have created them with the intention of romancing Anders.
Something tells me I will never see the Anders romance for myself (or Merrill, or Isabela), and I will replay my first PC over and over and over.  It's too hard to move on.....

@ CrookedAsylum Heh, how many Hawkes do you have? I've only played as a female Hawke and finished the game romancing Isabela first, followed by Fenris. They're both tough nuts to crack, which I adore.

I was super-super-sad I didn't get a kiss with Anders in the Gallows scene. The one with Fenris is adorable ... I'd have thought after everything you'd gone through with Anders, choosing to side with the Mages and sticking by him after what he did, that you'd get an emotional moment with him like that. But no. Made me sad AND a little angry, actually.
