Which cutscene? There is an alternate friendship cutscene of when they first kiss that is similar to the rivalry one: www.youtube.com/watch

I didn't do the clicking, but if I got a response like that in the end, it would be worth all the clicking  The idea is hilarious (and typical of men, I would love a really annoyed voice there too, like when men just want the woman to finally shut up and say something hoping that'll be enough? )

The cutscene differences are VERY subtle -- are you sure you just didn't get an alternative kiss?  There are glowy kisses and non-glowy kisses for both friendship and rivialry paths.  It depends on if you kiss him immediately after doing his quest in act 2 (that's the glowy kiss), or if he leaves and comes back (non-glowy kiss).

Then you would have gotten the glowy kiss. That's not rivalry, that's just the alternate friendship kiss. Fen's touchy about his tattoos being touched, and Hawke grabbed his arm, which kinda freaked Fen out....

You have to do his Questioning Beliefs conversation about the anniversary of his escape before you do his personal quest about Hadriana, I think. Then when you tell him not to leave, you should get the glowy kiss. I got that one myself. I think if you do it afterward, he leaves and then comes back later.

First, gorgeous character profile pic. Second, there was a pic of Fenris in his unmentionables, but alas the tattoos did not continue on from the ones shown outside his clothing. Maybe the creators, for some crazy rerason, didn't anticipate that people would make Fenris naked so didn't bother to finish them. Only Hawke knows the pattern of his markings

I'm on my second playthrough now, with a female Hawke this time, and I'm romancing Isabela ... feels a bit empty without the Fenris romance. I'm definitely going for a rivalry romance on my third playthrough!

Can't manage to not have him in the party, though, romance or not.

I actually prefer the rivaly romance.  The friendship one is very sweet, but this is the first time I've ever seen in a game, "I hate you~!" "I hate you too!" slam, kiss, "I can't live without you DAMMIT!" dynamic.  It's great!

I, for one, absolutely adore Fenris.  And I don't even go for the angsty type!  He's well-rounded.  Yes, he broods, but it's warranted, and it's not as if he can't crack a smile.  I like my companions with a bit of depth (which is one of the reasons I love DA), and I wasn't disappointed.  And I know some people are complaining about his platinum hair, but y'know... they do say a really traumatic event can turn a person's hair white.  (Or it could be the lyrium.)

Buuuut I'm a sucker for Gaider's characters.   Take what I say with a grain of fan-girl flavored salt.

And devs?  Excellent choice for his VA.

Probably because with a Lady Hawke I just choose what I would choose...I mean, how can I not befriend him if he makes those smiles and...the eyes...the voice...with a female character I just can't RP probably when Fen is involved.

But yeah, he is a powerhouse in the party, I simply like to see him phasing around and smashing foes to the ground xD

I am going to have to make a Male Hawke(mage) to rivalmance him...

Hopefully i have found all his kiss scenes. The one in which Hawke was blonde donwloaded (twice) weird...the speed is off.
