Anders wasn't my type. Also he had a thing with Karl so I mean you know. He just seems more like a good friend who likes kittens and blowing huge things up.

When I first started the game I was so conflicted about who I was going to romance between Anders and Fenris. In the end I picked Fenris for my first playthrough since it was him that I had first wanted to romance as soon as his character was announced - and I'm so glad I did! I friend-manced him and found his character so interesting and intense. His backstory was amazing, I just wanted to know everything about him! And it was such a fuzzy feeling when he stood by me when I sided with the mages despite his hatred for them. I could go on all day, I love him so...
On my second playthrough now (now as a mage) with plans to romance Anders, but I fear that I have developed Alistair-syndrome... In Origins I never managed to fully romance Zevran because inevitably, every time!, Alistair's charms and puppy eyes won me over and so I picked him on EVERY playthrough. Now I'm struggling with the thought of picking Anders over Fenris.. I have a feeling I'll be too weak and pick Fenris all over again!

Hello.....did we ever figure out the red scarf he wears on his wrist/significance? Thanks,
Personally, I think it's a strip of cloth from the red curtains on the bed.

It's Hawke's favor, a scarf. It shows the tie between Hawke and Fenris.spookyscarlett wrote...

Do all the other romances have the tie then when you choose them?

I'm thinking you're right and I should have romanced Anders first and left the best till last with Fenris. Anders just comes across as crazy, fanatical and a bit of a jerk, especially to Fen. I brought him along on 'Alone' and when you find out Fen's sister is a mage he says something along the lines of 'Your sster's a mage? You bloody hypocrite! You're just jealous!' - argh I wanted to rage on him so bad! Or when he calls Fenris nothing better than a mad dog.. I know they basically hated each other and never saw eye-to-eye, but I don't recall Fenris being as venemous to Anders as Anders is to him. I heard that there was a party banter between Sebastian and Fenris where he basically refuses to turn Hawke's mage friends (which would include Anders) into the Templars, despite his personal feelings on the matter, but Anders would gladly have handed Fenris back to Denarius (at least it certainly seems that way going by the video on youtube of someone's Hawke betraying Fen). And Fenris did turn out to be right about him in the end.
Th more I think about it, the less appealing Anders becomes hehe.

Most of the LIs get a slight change to their outfit if Romanced. Fen's is the Red scarf and the Hawke crest on his belt. Anders is the black outfit. Merill's outfit becomes white. Isabela's is a black corset with gold embroidery.spookyscarlett wrote...

I think the wiki articles for all the LIs have the outfit changes in them.

I felt really let down by the game end. I wanted to know what my character did. At least in Origins you could choose and it kind of told you.
ADD: Oh yes, how do you get the glowy kiss? Mine was.. not so glowy? It is the rival rather then friend romance?

I say take the Dalish one (I used my Dalish import), Merrill says a few things about it. It was so sweet when she said that she wanted to fix the mirror because she wanted to help Mahariel (and Tamlen).Orchid-Haze wrote...
Any which are best ? :0 As there are 2 defaults.
Almost completed the game, loving the Fenris romance. Am already thinking about what i will do in my second playthrough. I really want to play as a rogue (playing mage now), but I got a feeling that the story will make more sense with a mage. ><'
Wanted to romance Anders in my second playthrough, but he practically blackmailed my mage during his quest and the way he acts towards Fenris (and the others) is just frustrating. I really wanted to punch him/yell at him sometimes. I only had one of those moments with Fenris (after Hadriana he starts raging about magic spoiling everything, my mage didn't like that). >>'
What is in your eyes better, letting him kill his sister or keep her alive? I prefer killing her to be honest, it gets too complicated when she explains that he wanted those markings. Really need a 'hug'-option during that quest.

If you spare the sister in Alone, can you still talk to Fenris at his mansion? Because he's refusing to talk to me and I think he's supposed to. I just finished the Alone quest.
He will talk to you. In my playthrough he just stormed off and I got the Qunari story thing a few quest later. Don't worry.
