You can't see him again after having finished the game, right?
Okay, I haven't used the search function nor read the 1176 pages, but, you know.

Oh, if only I got it for the PC I don't need my parents and sister walking into the living room seeing that scene. My dad probably would have a cow.
It's a video game. It's not showing anything....explicit. Just two people making out....

@ Helen0rz and panamakira - One problem with that. Once you go Fen you can't go back. I started Fenris with the intention of romancing the others at a later time. I only got around to Isabella my last playthrough. I had to reload because I couldn't romance Fenris after. >.>;

I did rivalmance first with him and LOVED IT. I did friendmance second and didn't enjoy it as much... Yes, I chose him as my romance for two characters.
Anders wasn't my type. Also he had a thing with Karl so I mean you know. He just seems more like a good friend who likes kittens and blowing huge things up.

Fenris' romance in my opinion is one of the best romances in-game (tied for me with Isabela). For once Ser Gaider wrote a character who doesn't tear my heart out. He tears other people's hearts out.
With Anders the major sticking point for me is the whole Justice quest. He jumps down your throat for wanting to know whats going on with the whole potion thing. He lies to you about what his plans are (blowing up the Chantry).
Then, if you keep the romance going he goes on about how your children shall be raised in a world where mages will know freedom, and Hawke goes along with it. At that point I understood why Cassandra would have a less than rosy image of Hawke. She and Anders are sodding bonkers and need to be stopped.

Oh man, I hate that so much. My Hawke kept pressing him to tell her what his plans were, because she's more than a little worried about the guy. And just because you don't immediately tell him you'll help him, he instantly goes all "Oh, do you don't actually care about the mages then? Some friend you are." I wanted to freaking punch him right there. <_<

very true. My first playthrough, I was completely set on Anders because, well, returning character and he was a cool kid in Awakening. Fenris comes along and I wa pretty much. Well, I figured I was gonna do 2nd playthrough anyways so I just stuck with Anders.
What an idiot I was.
LOL Not an idiot. I considered it briefly. Now I'll only romance him when I stomp on him at the end. I will totally have my character knife her lover (if I'm playing a b****, anyways). I still need to rivalmance Fenris, too...>.>;
Anders, you are going to be waiting a while...
the ONLY reason why I didn't kill him on my 1st was I wanted to unlock my achievement for completing the romance. god...i really wanted to kill him. Really....wanted to...

Delurking for a bit. I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but I'm on my third playthrough and I just saw a hilarious Fenris scene.
I'm playing a more evil Hawke so I had her kill Javaris, that dwarven merchant who wants the qunari powder. After I killed him, the camera focused on Fenris who was shaking with his fist covering his mouth trying his hardest not to laugh.
I'm probably not that great at explaining but it was priceless, especially since I'm rivalmancing him.

Yeah, Anders' romance left a bitter taste in my mouth. Especially because at the end, you knew he was basically stark raving mad thanks to Justice. The way he just sat on that box after he blew up the Chantry, just...waiting.... That is not the sign of a sane individual.
Where-as Fenris you know has problems, but he's always been trying to let them go. Danarius just refuses to let him do that. Until, of course, it all comes to a head and you help Fen kill him. He's able to move on after that. You can tell. Because he has Hawke.
Okay, we know the RedKryptoniteLyrium is bad. But what, exactly, is it?? It makes people go bat-sh*t insane, the Codex on the Primeval Thaig states that, we see it in Bartrand and Meredith. But what is it???
Well I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought so. Accepting what he did is kind of accepting an act by a not so sane person. I love him but I know he was not entirely in his right mind. Which is where the bitter after taste for me is.
And Fenris has puppy eyes! Who could deny my grumpy elf anything? Not my Lady Hawke!
I understand some of Anders' reasoning, but...really, only the Templars in Kirkwall were that...oppressive...Fereldan's Circle was...all rainbows and fluffy kitties compared to Kirkwall.
Yes, he has puppy eyes!! Love those eyes!

Hello.....did we ever figure out the red scarf he wears on his wrist/significance? Thanks,
Personally, I think it's a strip of cloth from the red curtains on the bed.
It's Hawke's favor, a scarf. It shows the tie between Hawke and Fenris.
Do all the other romances have the tie then when you choose them?

Is it just me, or do all the romances in da2 have the potential to turn out really tragically?
Isobela can be turned over to the Qunari.
Anders can be killed after he explodes the chantry.
Fenris can be given to Danerius.
Merrils whole clan can be killed.
When you think about it, this game is kind of depressing.

I must be horrible. this run is another mage, rivalmancing Fen, but she won't be patient enough to wait out three years. See I LIKE Anders, so I have nooooo trouble switching back and forth a bit. This of course depends on how many more of my family members have died by then. I can't seem to get things in the right order >.< Fen and Katie were back together when Anders brought up him leaving her. I missed the Isabela one too, because they were doing their Ross and Rachel "on a break" thing.
If I don't at least screw with the romances the game ends the same every. single. time. I really expected more variations of the end. Kinda sad.

Strange, he didn't get fussy with me when I asked him a million questions as friend or romance.
Also my first mage wasn't "bonkers" at all. And really neither is Anders, he's posessed. But my first mage Hawke was so fed up with everything in Kirkwall, the anti mage sentiment, the things those templars got away with ("they lock us in our rooms and ask things of us"...UYGH!) like Alrik making them tranquil after harrowings. The Grand Cleric that as awesome as she was just couldn't help (I think she knew what was coming and was at peace with it myself). She believed that they mages turned to blood magic out of desperation. Not sure how this mage is going to work. But Anders lives, because I won't let him be a martyr. He needs to live to see what he's done. And as a romance, she just wants to get him somewhere safe and try like heck to get rid of that Justice dude.
Of course being my first playthrough Fenris turned on her and wouldn't return >.< So I'm going to have to replay that one I guess.

No, nothing changes what he did at the end. The story would pretty much suck if it did. My next playthrough, probably a warrior with templar sensibilities will likely rivamance Anders. Then I guess I'm done since apparently the game only has one epilogue. Kinda bummed about that.

That's really lame. that's when I think Warden is much cooler than the Champion, but romance-wise Champion's is much more heartwreching. As much as I like Alistair, give me Fenris all the way~
Lady Jess wrote...
Yeah, at least with Alistair the romance itself had several different endings. O course there does seem to be a 3 year gap in the story. Templars vs Mage is 7 years, the game is supposed to be 10. So maybe we get DLC to find out what happened those last 3 years.
We can always dream though, right?DeaHamlet wrote...

I love them both. Never have I had a game where I had to have two CANON stories. o.O DA:2 is playing with my heart. Too bad they hate eachother, can't have a threesome
