Those eyes sold me on him even before I heard the voice.  First off, I have a HUGE thing for green eyes.  Second the puppy eyes just murdered me the first time I saw them.  It was a screen-cap, then I found the video with his voice and had a fangirl-gasm followed by swooning and melting into a puddle of goo.

I can't really blame her for flirting with Fenris.  Him shooting her down after he's been with Hawke made it for me.  The same thing with his speach about how walking away from her was the hardest thing he'd ever done.  I love how everyone forgets that she's there during those little banters...>.>;

It was good to see I wasn't the only one who wanted to swing around when he said that and yell "WELL WHY TEH FRACK DID YOU DO IT THEN?!"  Followed by some intermittent swearing and wall-snogging...

Acutally, Anders shouldn't have shut down on you as long as you hadn't finished Anders' "questioning beliefs" quest.  If you had finished Anders quest there, though, the romance options are gone anyway if you hadn't initiated the romance already.  He'll question you about Fenris after having sex with him, but he most definitely took my Hawke after Fenris left her.

Sucked that I couldn't get Fenris back (did this my second playthrough, so I knew how good Fenris' relationship got).

Hehehe. I love expressive eyes, which Fen has. Color doesn't matter to me, though deep blue or green eyes just add to the melt-factor.

Yeah, I wanted to yell at Fen with that banter...But.. makes Act 3 all the more wonderful...


*squees* So glad I saved before going into Hawke's Mansion after Bitter Pill... I have 2 saves for Mitha-One before the glowy kiss, and one after.

You know who i didn't recruit on my 2nd play through? Seb. he was a complete waste of time for me in every way in my 1st.

man, the banters like those didn't show up for me, just the eye one and nothing else. However I thought it was heavily hinted during one of the fenris visists and you see them talking. he said he's in high town because he "likes the view" and she replied "so do i" or something like that but totally looked at him up and down. 

and what does she do when she walked off because I showed up? winked.

Bleh I hate the non romanced Bela/Fen banter. But, I think I hate the Bela flirting with Fen when you've set your sight on him banter more. When she talks about his eyes and taking his armor off. I get annoyed that my Hawke doesn't stop and put a dagger to her throat or at least tell her to back off. However, I do like how Fen tells her to keep her distance if his in a relationship.

I don't hate it.  It shows his libido is working, for one thing.   It's also very understandable.  He's free and somewhat secure for the first time in his life.  Why shouldn't he experience life?  As for Isabela being Isabela, well... it takes all kinds I guess.

I just took her into the Fade and that was kind of funny, including the after-chat.  Her comment on Hawke and Fenris' relationship is cute.  The biggest tragedy there is that it's Nathaniel Howe's VA wanting to read her cheesy sex poetry.  What a tease Bioware!  Cruel!!!

I wouldn't romance 'bela with my maleHawke, just because of how I view intimacy and all, but she is hilarious, and I love her dialogue. My FemHawke came to see her as a good friend by the end, and I really enjoyed having her around.

Which brings to my mind...If Varric says that everyone leaves Hawke's side except for Fenris (when you've romanced him, ofc), why hasn't he moved there at the end of the game?

I mean... He could have.

Anders: He has had one bad experience color his whole world. Surely you want someone more open-minded?

What Happened:

Fenris and Hawke fight Anders

What I wish had happened:

Hawke: Why? Do you know someone like that? Oh, you were talking about yourself.

I can't go through with the Anders romance after attempting it in my last playthrough. Sticking with it past the destruction of the Chantry just gives me this sick feeling. The man is off his rocker and Hawke just goes along with it:

Anders: I'd rather be on the run with you than safe with anyone else.

Hawke: If we win this I'll kill anyone that tries to arrest you.

At that point I got that the whole line was supposed to be romantic, but it was disconcerting to hear. Anders has been losing control of Justice. He's decieved and outright lied to someone who deeply cares about him, and then goes "oh well Hawke didn't kill me, let's go on the run together."

To me the fact that Hawke is willing to unconditionally trust someone who treated him/her like this makes me understand why Cassandra would think Hawke is the reason why the world is on the brink of war.

Exactly. Anders has been going deeper and deeper into madness, and finally snaps in Act 3. The way he sits on that box, waiting for death, is not something someone sane would do.

Granted, I've made that argument before in this thread, and had at least one person agree with me...

My Hawke trusted him up until he blackmailed her into distracting the Grand Cleric.  Then she stopped hanging around with him.  Then she told him to get out of her sight when he blew up the chantry.  When I romance his character, that will probably be the ending too, because she's not willing to kill him, but she doesn't want to be around a murderer...
