Hey all, I have a question regarding Fenris' first quest in Act III, involving his sister.

After letting his sister go, I went straight to his mansion, but the cutscene where he tells why he left Hawke three years ago, blah blah blah, isn't triggering? Is this bugged...?
That happened with me too.  I was really irked and just continued on with the game resigned to my fate of never seeing the act 3 scene :crying:.  But after a couple of quests, I can't remember which one exactly, I checked my journal and it said "Speak to Fenris at his mansion" so I did and the cutscene triggered when I got there :D.  Hopefully the same will be the case for you.
Thanks so much! :)

Merrill: (noticing Fenris walking in) Look, I understand that you don't like me and n-nothing I can say will change that. Spare me the argument I-I have work to do.

Fenris: I owe you an apology.

Merrill: W- What?

Fenris: (rubs armband nervously) I...I am not infallible and perhaps I judged you too harshly.

Merrill: Are...Are you dying?

Fenris: What? No! I'm not dying!

Merrill: Oh, because in all of Varric's stories when someone is dying from the plague or the blight or...well anything they always go apologizing to people that they didn't get along with and I'm rambling again aren't I?

Fenris: (sighs) You saved her, with that barrier of yours, if you hadn't stopped that revenant's blade when you did...you have my thanks.

Merrill: Does...Does this mean we're friends now?

Fenris: I wouldn't go...(notices Merrill giving him the "you kicked my puppy look") Yes.

LOL! Oh my god that was awesome! I laughed and then quickly shut it off because a fangirl part of me was jealous that he wasn't making out with my Hawke! Someone needs to mod in Fenris for that Anders makeout scene! :)

*NOSEBLEED*

I want them swapping Fenris with male Champion and put female Champion in Isabella's place. that would be PERFECT <3

Right?? RIGHT??! Jeez, I don't even know how people do these things. They must be effing geniuses. :)

Okay, maybe it was a consequence of too many late nights... but I thought you could flirt with Fenris when you first meet him in Bait and Switch. I can't seem to find the option again at all, and am starting to think I dreamed it up. I remember him laughing or something, all embarrassed, but it's not there. Surely it's not because I'm a mage? Or is it somewhere else?

When you come out of Danarius' house, investigate til you're blue in the face. You get to call him handsome and he laugh/coughs. That was my favorite when I discovered it on my third play through. :)

Man act 3 right? dammit I hate act 2 nothing good comes of it.

Umm....except jumping his bones! :) And I totally flirted with Anders this evening, then he called Fenris a beast and I snapped. It was glorious. And Fenris went right back to his "I am right by your side/I enjoy following you" comments. It was glorious.

I admit to laughing, too.  Especially since I always play female Hawke...Can't quite imagine Fenris jumping on her quite like that  ^.-  Although, I admit that if the places were swapped (Fem!Hawke doing the jumping and Fenris doing the carrying), that's pretty much how I imagined how act two worked...

Holy crap this thread is huge. Well I have a question concerning Fenris and I think you're all the people to ask.

So once again I'm trying to romance him and boy is he a tough sonnova ****. I've never flirted with with anyone else, always asked him about his past, given him his first gift, gave the slave girl money, and allowed him to kill Hadriana and nearly have a 100% in approval. But when I get to my house and he apologizes to Hawke, I don't get the prompt to have her tell him not to leave. (And last game I had done his Questioning Beliefs prior to Bitter Pill, got that <3 option and he just left.)

Suggestions? I rather tempted to restart act 2 to remedy this if I have too.

Did you do the Questioning Beliefs quest for this particular walkthrough? I would think that would be the trigger for the lovin', but I'm not too sure.

Go and do a few more quests. I think someone mentioned here that they did a few other things, and eventually they got a message that sent them back to the estate where Fen was waiting.

Exit the estate, then enter again at night... I think was the way to fix that. >_>

I didn't get the option either. It just mean your scale is not high enough.

Don't worry, you will get that after. I got mine ones I boost the scale to 100%, which is somewhere before Alone, I think.

Has anyone else noted that Bad Romance applies to this relationship rather well?

Really? No heart icon at all? There must be a bug if that doesn't show up at all. Try leaving the estate and going back, maybe he'll show again for the none wall pushy scene. And your meter does not have to be 100% just over 50% and you have to have flirted with him at least once.

So, do you all suggest I try and get friendship maxed and see if I'll get a scene later in act 2? Is that even possible?

So. I was thinking a bit. And I came to a thought. If I recall correctly, prolonged exposure to lyrium, or lerhaps a lot of it at once, I can't remember which, is toxic for a mage. It's why the Tranquil and dwarves are so important to enchantment and why Templar "magic" is so dangerous to mages.

I notice a lot of people are romancing Fenris as mages.

Is it possible his tattoos would have an effect?

I'm not sure if it's a plausible theory or if it's been brought up before, but it's interesting to consider the rammifications, I guess.

(Pardon any typos, I'm typing from my phone, herp derp)

Among other songs.  It was mentioned earlier in the forum.  XD  Along with Florence + the Machine's "Kiss with a Fist".  Personally, I often wind up listening to a few of my hardcore favorite eighties songs *is carbon dating herself :pinched:*  "Love is a Battlefield" by Pat Benetar was oddly appropriate as well...>.>

That, I think, would depend entirely on how much bodily fluids are being swapped.  (SPIT, people.  I mean SPIT.)  Unless your mage is into vore, in which case I think they'd find themselves on the recieving end of an involuntary heart piercing.

Yes?  No?  Just me then?  Nevermind.
