possibly. depends on how treated the lyrium is.  given how much agony it causes him to this day, its clearly harmful to he himself.  but i doubt it'd be of much harm to others given that its IN his skin.  if his skin were ingested it'd probably be very poisonous. its clearly toxic to himself, thats likely where his uncontrollable temper comes from. lyrium is notorious for causing psychosis.

So no tattoo licking then? *sigh* always a catch<_<

Bah. Slap a side-effects warning label on him and lick them anyway, I say.

Quick question Fenris fans, i've just started a new playthrough and was friends with fenris last time, and was planning to make him a rival this time, does he have some good conversations as a rival or should i just go friendship again, and does he act like an ass to you if you're rivals (like anders does)

It didn't feel like he was being an ass when I rivalmanced him, but I'm pretty bias. You should definitely try rivalry. Friendship is sweet, but I like my romance a bit more spicy. Besides, Fenris all hot and bothered is quite a sight to see

He's a little ****tish as a mage...don't shoot me!! but it's totally worth it.

Yes, he's so hot when he's angry.

Then there's combat- I have him set to attack an enemy attacking my mage PC.  To have a Lyrium Ghost leap out of nowhere and do a Mighty Blow on the enemy that's giving you grief... by the ****** of my ancestors, that's impressive.

Ugh... I'm in act 2 doldrums now, too.  Can't wait to get past it into 3.  For one thing, there's so little good mage clothing in act 2 so we look dowdy.  And did someone say they had 200 gold or something?!  I'm dirt poor, got like 30 gold right now, so I couldn't buy a better outfit if there was one.

licking should be fine XD;;  the ink and lyrium would be in the skin itself.  not on the surface. its not as if tattoos "leak".  but ingesting the skin would be a different story.

i must bring up the fact lyrium sings again.  we know it sings.  do his tattoos sing too?  or is the lyrium too watered down?  damn he'd be like mage catnip if it did.  sounds like lyrium, tastes like lyrium... mmmmm. maybe thats the real reason he hates mages. they won't stay off. :D

That's why Anders really hates Fenris. He's just trying to resist the lyrium.

well Justice did have an intense love of lyrium in Awakening, if ya'll recall. his hate is from an insatiable desire to have fenris' skin~

There's an infinite money glitch in act 1 and 2 with the item based side quests.  Have your weapon out and ready for attack as you approach, stop dead still, then jab a for about two minutes.  It takes one or two tries at first to get it good, but I've ended the game at level 50, with 2000+ gold.  Quick and easy gold.

Gawds. That baritone voice would sound like heaven. For some reason I picture him in a rock band a la Stuart Townsend in Queen of the Damned.

I almost did the rivalry romance this time around, but then somehow I found myself with like +30 friendship points already. And I don't really want to be all nice to the mages just to make him mad. Those mages annoy me sometimes - and really so many of them are totally into blood magic and trying to kill me all the time. I just want to kill them. And of course, he likes that idea, too. Oh well. Friendship romance again. I'm going to rival Anders, though. He just made me too mad last game that I don't even want to be nice to him now. I will admit that he kind of kicks ass in a fight, but he just went crazy. I don't support him blowing up the chantry

In my last playthrough, code-named '100% companion frienships', instead of knifing Anders (which I've done twice), I told him to GTFO.  Then he showed up when I went to support the mages and tries to act all buddy buddy.  So I told him to GTFO again.  He walked away with the expression of a whipped dog.

Whenever I get to act 3, it seems like Anders is being less jerkish to Fenris. And since Anders in act 3 has pretty much given in to Justice...
creepy.

So... Fenris dances, sings, and gives you some interesting side effects when you lick him

Reminds me of Thane from ME2...Do not lick the drell.  It will give you halucinations   BTW, I've licked the drell...

I'd lick Fenris's tattoos, too.  Trace 'em just to find out if they go anywhere interesting  ^.-

Which would probably result in you getting the eyebrow.
So it's not a complete loss. Image IPB

The eyebrow would be a worthy consequence of ending up somewhere strange after licking those lyrium lines.  Have I mentioned my kink for an elegantly arched male eyebrow?  Yeah, I have one.

Singing...ohhh that crosses over into my other main kink.  I have a thing for the Russian opera baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky:

Again, voice.  Image IPB  Coincidentally, Dmitri also has gorgeous white hair and dark, expressive eyebrows.  Pattern, what pattern?

On the subject of the lyrium again, it is my personal headcanon that whatever ritual branded it into Fenris's skin also made it inert enough to not cause any toxic harm.  Aside from the psychological harm our poor puppy-eyed elf went through.

So explain this to me, 'cause I'm a little slow right now (it's past midnight over here)

By item based side quests, do you mean like the Grimoire of the Apprentice?  And have our weapon out? Do you mean like we're still in battle mode or something?

I have a few nice items in the BE that I'm aiming for, but with only 5 sovereigns, it's a little difficult. :crying:

Hello everyone!

Fenris needs love, so I drew a little comic about him. I'm no artist, but I thought I'd share it anyway. :)

CAUTION: Minor spoilers about his romance.

Item-based, like one of those where you just go up to a person and "talk" to them, but no scene triggers. You just hear Hawke saying something like "I think you dropped this", and then the person thanks them. Take out your weapon like in 'battle mode'.

...and now I'm going to be imagining drunk!Fenris singing opera in the middle of the night. Image IPB thanks.

Nobleman:[to a fellow noble, in hushed tones] Hey, you know that "abandoned" mansion? The one right next door to my estate? I think the Maker-damned place is haunted. Me n' the missus were just settling in for the night, when we heard this great deep singing coming from the mansion. Kept us up for hours.

Wha??  I'm confused.

Edit: Oh, I see someone explaining, but... can you take your weapon out when not in battle?
