She's almost in the middle for me.  She disapproves of my Hawke's shady dealings, but I'm usually nice to her in conversation and don't take her out and about much so she hovers in the middle.

She kissed my (sarcastic/ nice) Hawke last playthrough, but not on my current one (aggressive). I think it has to do with your dialogue choices. None of my Hawkes have ever flirted with Aveline.

It was just a thank you kiss after helping her get together with Donnic. And I had Isabela in my party at the time, too.

Yeah, Grimoire of the Apprentice, Eustice's Pomel, Locks of the Golden Fool, and the like.  I was SO upset, because I learned about this cheat after I was already in act three of my first playthrough...<_<

I play on console, so I only have to press A to draw weapons, and as long as you come to a full stop BEFORE pressing A, then you can keep pressing A until you max your level and have more coin than I know what to do with.  However, if you move ONCE, it will spoil it.  Also, if you're playing a rogue, it doesn't work with if you have a bow equipped.

wow I just did this and it is soooo cheating, but whatever it is my third playthrough so... I now have like 450 gold and like 42 attribute points to spend. I didn't realize it gave you experience, too. I kind of feel bad...

LOL  It's nothing to feel guilty about.  Eventually, it'll top out, and it'll just give you money.  Made raising 50 sovereigns a breeze in act one...

I loved playing sarcastic Hawke. There's some great lines, and some amazingly awkward moments. I let Bethany die in the deep roads this time (to see Fen get kidnapped lol.. poor Beth). I just wish that there was an option to tell Varric it wasn't his fault. He feels so bad about it

I play a rogue, I'm always torn between having Aveline (who is always a 'damage taker') or Varric (who does the majority of my agro and AOE archery stuffs).  Just because it makes Anders and Fenris bicker, I keep them both in a party together, because I ALWAYS bring Fenris with me.
Unless I'm getting him kidnapped;)

My first run through was fairly sarcastic, but I need to do a full sarcastic run.    Awww... Yea, I couldn't do that to Beth. Carver, no problem. Don't like him much anyway.

@Saya: Fenris is a staple to my team, no matter what I play. I play either rogues or mages(I can't stand playing warriors for some reason), so Varric's there for either lockpicking or (more) range. That leaves room for a mage. This run it's Merill. If I need a healer that bad, I'll grab Anders, but if I make enough gold, I just buy the health pots, set people up with a self heal tactic, and go.

so it really has nothing to do with Fenris, but I thought it was funny, so I am going to post it anyway.
I went into the Blooming Rose for one of my quests and decided hey, why not? and slept with one of the prostitutes - with Carver in my party! I didn't even think about it. He was very uncomfortable and vocal. And then I got +5 rivalry with him. But sadly, no comment from Fenris - or Isabela for that matter

EDIT: She does draw with pencils and pen as well but she is now almost always using Photoshop to create art ever since she bought a Wacom tablet...

I just got this convo in my current playthrough...That laugh...Oh Maker!

So first playthrough I didn't finish his personal quest, I was mostly a rival because I sided with mages all the time and I romanced Anders who he hates. Thus I ended up killing him at the end and didn't care that much, I barely knew him as a character.
Second playthrough? He's the best character in the game! lol I'm rivalmancing him and it's just awesome, arguing with him is just the best and infuriating him to the point of angry sex? Even better.
Next up, going for a frienship romance. I've heard it's quite sweet but I think I'll probably like the rivalmance better. I like Fenris with a bit of fire in him

Does that rivalry relationship mean you never got a chance at the end for him to go back to your side?

I think both Anders and Fenris have kind of ruined my future games. Fenris is too wonderful not to romance and even if I choose to let Anders leave I just can't forgive him after the Chantry-incident to complete his romance.  


I have thought about doing a second PT (maybe rogue this time) and rivalmancing Fen but I don't know if I can pull it off, I have problems disagreeing with people who's POV I in general agree with. It didn't help that I constantly ran into insane mages either.

It's kind of silly of me to have several PT's and the only difference between them are the player-class/gender/name/look. I'll probably end up being 100% friends with everyone again, except my only 100% rival Merrill in all of them.
