Egad. Has anyone seen aimo's latest DA2 comic? Can't stop giggling: aimo.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d3bzs22

I totally have the girl on watch.  She's my hero  XD  In part because of the blushing!Fenris.  But mostly because of the Full Monty Male!Hawke.

See, I never got the impression that they still hurt. Maybe when he goes all glowy, but every time he mentions the agony, it is in past tense, save for the fact that the MEMORY of the pain is still agonizing. I think he's quite comfortable at present really, at least physically. :)

Cause let's be clear, if shagging my Hawke was better than anything he could have dreamed, he probably wasn't in too too much pain. Pain has an almost immediate impact on the 'little soldier' if you know what I'm sayin. LOL! I can't believe I just said that. :P

I highly hope Fenris is quite the opposite of little

I hope you are saying what I think you are, Zombie...

Edit: OMG, Aro finished it! Oh that is so awesome!

She has forever lost that hunk of an elf. Fenris does not tolerate Hawke sleeping with anyone before or after you romance him.

That's not entirely true.  You can sleep with people BEFORE Fenris just not after.  I'm in a PT right now where **** m!hawke slept with Isabela and Anders before Fenris.

Really?

I'm playing through the Fenris romance, and had flirted with Anders too, so the options came up right away for the romance trigger conversations (hotsexytime) on both characters....what I found out was this:

1) Flirt with Fenris first and trigger his romance, then flirt with Anders and trigger his romance (before goingback to your house)....when you go back to your house the first time, Fenris shows up (and of course leaves). Go back to your house a second time, and Anders will show up....and ask about Fenris. *Did not continue to go through this to see who actually flags as your romance partner later in the game......like if Fenris comes back and says "I've been stupid these past three years, do you fogive me?"

2) Flirt with Anders and trigger the romance first (before even doing hotsexytime scene), NO romance diologue option with Fenris.

3) Flirt with Anders first, trigger the hot sexytime scene and do it, but then dump him....(great scene by the way), and THEN go talk to Fenris and do the romance trigger conversation and the romance diologue option is there.

I can surely tell you that Anders comes and asks what of you and Fenris (he actually insults him and you get to defend him - i think he calls him a beast). If you say you still love Fenris then Anders leaves and the romance flag for Fenris remains. If you sleep/move in with Anders then he sets the romance flag and Fenris doesn't say the "forgive me" part later...

How do you trigger the glowy kiss scene as a friend? Does your friendship have to be 100%? I'm having some issues with this one.

Do questioning beliefs before he gets attacked on the road (beginning of the chapter works if you're above 50%.  That's always done it for me.

Here's a thought.  What if it had always been painful for Fenris until Hawke?  What if he freaked out because it was pleasurable?  I imagine that touching has always been physically and emotionally painful before, so it surprised Fenris when it wasn't.  Regardless of whether Danarius molested Fenris (my head canon says he did, sadly), the traumatic memory of the pain kept Fenris from wanting to do anything that would bring it up again.  When we get the glowy kiss, I see a mix of fear-regret-concern with these strong emotions.  The surprise of the touch might hurt, but the kiss afterward does not.

In the time gap between when Fenris escaped and when he meets Hawke, I think he tried the sex but it was always painful for him.  He went into a kind of relucant self-celibacy because it wasn't worth it to him.  I think his sexuality was just as messed up as his emotions because he feared that pain and thought it would never be pleasant.  A nice tragic angle to the developing flirtations with Hawke.  He also needed to get over the being a slave and get resolution with Danarius and what the **** did to him.

The hopeless romantic part of me is drawn to the idea that things are different with Hawke.  The way I play Hawke, the character has this intuition.  It makes the three-year gap more believable because I think there were kissy times but Hawke backed off out of respect and caring for Fenris.  For the first time, Fenris felt something physically and emotionally pleasant, then the memories intruded, and that's why he couldn't "do this."  If it was "better than anything I could have dreamed" I think it's destiny and a 3-year gap is nothing.  Super sap, me?  Yep!  Image IPBImage IPBImage IPB

Maybe you're gushy, but I like this :)

See, that's the great thing about his story.  We CAN fill in the blanks and make it as we want.  I do like it that I'm not the only one who sees them as completely broken up for those three years.  Makes my head canon better for me for some reason.  I especially like the thought of there being SOME kissy time, but wihtout them discussing it, it just goes no further.

Makes perfect sense!

If this was true, he wouldnt have sex-for-fun with Isabela in act 3 unromanced.  i'm sure physical pleasure for him is just like any other.  what makes it special with hawke was the romantic/emotional connection.  that's what he's seeking when you pursue him. and it is that which apparently digs up his memories and terrifies him.

Pretty sure you have to choose the "don't go" <3 option when you're talking to him about Hadriana (in your estate), too. When I let him leave and come back, I get a different scene without the glowing. If he stays, I get the glowing scene.

And I think your friendship just has to be over 50%.

I definitely think the first sexytime is when he without a doubt falls in love. I think that's what opened the floodgates of feelings, which he desperately tries to stem. That Hawke tried to talk about it later and he refused further reinforces that for me.

see i get the feeling he falls in love with hawke prior to that. that's why he wants to have sex with hawke. maybe doing the dirty made all those feelings go overboard...

i just say that because of what he says during his Drunk!Conversation.  He clearly really really likes hawke at that point.  he acts as if he'd already pondered the idea of being more than friends when Hawke suggests it.  at least thats the vibe i get.

but yes. feelings are scary and all that.  he probably didn't REALIZE his own feelings in an articulate manner until after the act.  and so he broods dramatically in front of the fireplace, waiting for Hawke to wake up while sporting his lovely knightly crest and favor.

If you don't get the glowy kiss, Fenris, when visiting you right before the naughty, says something like "I have been thinking of you. In fact, I have been able to do little else." Seems like he's been into Hawke for a while :)

Oh, there's no doubt that he has feelings for Hawke before then.  I didn't mean to make it sound like a faucet or anything.  It's just that that was the moment things all came together.

That's possible. The guy thinks way too much on his own time so It's highly possible that he's played with the idea more than once in his head, such as: "what if she (sorry FemHawke all the way here) were to reciprocate the idea? will she actually accept though? She's hinted, but then again I could imagined that myself like a foolish boy". Now that you give me that idea, I picture him sitting in the mansion, drinking, pondering that possibility and shot himself down in his head because I think to a degree, he doesn't think he's good enough. You got a guy who's been abused and being told and treated countless times of how worthless he is, that does put a damper on someone's confidence doesn't it? The only thing he was absolutely certain of was to kill Danarius and his power is deadly.

I agree. I think he still has too much other baggage to really accept his feelings, hence his desire to back off (Zevran? lol). I think he was attracted to Hawke before that point, but sex with Hawke is certainly more intimate than flirting with her/him.

I also agree that they're not exactly broken up over the three years (in my head canon, anyway). They would have spent time together, so I image them still being very close (even if they don't have sex). More than friends, lots of tension, but no sex is pretty much how I was thinking.

I could also see another scenario, with Hawke trying to move on but being hung up on Fenris. It's not like Fenris is the type of character that you can force into a conversation he doesn't want to have, especially if Hawke is afraid he might just leave Kirkwall if she keeps pushing him. I suppose with a three year gap there's a lot of room for the player to fill it in as desired.

And to the Zev fans, how surprising was it to hear Fenris say, "I am yours"? :D

exactly my reasoning. which is why i much prefer that scene to glow kiss.  i doubt he fell in love during sex. he was already pretty much there.

I think the sex pushed him over.  Again, he definitely had feelings beforehand, strong STRONG feelings.  But it was actually making love that pushed him over, opened up his feelings, and completely overwhelmed him.

I was so mad at my F!Hawke. I thought for sure we were going to move on, with Anders and be happy run away apopstates together but...no. She got Anders to her house and went all "what did you just say about him you nughumper???"  Poor thing didn't realize she was hung up.
