Well given the fade out, you can imagine what you like about it. I kind of like how they did it, they didn't go too far with it and it leaves it more open to fit whatever type of Hawke you're playing.DemonSaya wrote...
Anyone else with there was a 'you don't have to say anything. Just hold me.' option during that scene? I mean, I know I would rather have a hug than have someone try to comfort me with words. Fenris and I tend to agree on filling moments like that with empty words...>.>;
I personally imagined that he stayed with her through the night while she cried herself to sleep.
I think having the LI show up during that moment was a brilliant move, I believe that for my Hawke it really solidified in her mind that Fenris still cares about her. During those three years whenever she thought about moving on she just remembered that night.
PS: The sketches you posted earlier are gorgeous, btw. <3
LOL Hopefully I'll get inspired some more and get some more sketches out

What are we speaking of?

Fenris: 'Sour ale, vomit and the smell of desperation."
Anders: 'And this is one of the better taverns around here!"
Fenris: 'They let you in. It can't be that much better.''
The way those two snipe at each other is hilarious sometime.

Speaking of final battle...if you romanced Fenris and you leave him out of your party to give him orders he answers the most curious little thing, well curious from my point of wiev anyway
I remember watching one of the pre-release interviews when the guys mentioned taking some inspiration from productions like "The Princess Bride" Now those of you who watched the film ( a really good old school classic btw) should get the connection right away when I say that Fenris answers "As you wish" ....at which point I totally melted
For those who didn't watch the film, long story short :
There was a farm boy and a very beautiful girl who he was in love with. Every time she asked him to do something he'd answear "As you wish" while what he really was telling her was "I love you" ( I do recommend to watch the movie for getting a "full picture")
Now I have no idea if his response is different if you didn't romance him...I just can't resist him every time I play! That's why someone else would have to check it up
It's just something I found worth sharing. I might as well be wrong but it still warms my heart just beaing a possibility
My second favorite movie ever. Behind Gone With The Wind (Fenris/Mage rivalry is SO reminding me of Rhett and Scarlett) And I wouldn't be surprised if it was intentional, after all Shale says "Have fun storming the Castle" if you don't take her.

Cassandra: Wait, the Champion had an elven lover?
Varric: Yes, but that's not important, you're more interested in what happened with the Qunari aren't you? (notices Cassandra staring at him) No offense Seeker, but mushy stories don't really seem like they'd be your sort of thing.
Cassandra: Are you implying something dwarf?
Varric: Not at all.
Cassandra: Then tell me the story.
Varric: Very well, once upon a time in the land of Kirkwall there was a beautiful woman named Hawke. She had many hobbies, but her favorite was tormenting the local elf-boy Fenris. Every time she tried to get under his skin with outrageous requests Fenris would always respond by saying "As you wish..."
(A few hours later)
Varric: ...and then Fenris was killed. (notices Cassandra is crying) You alright Seeker?
Cassandra: Did he really die?
Varric: Don't worry, it all works out in the end, but you probably don't want to hear about...
Cassandra: Tell me!
Varric: Alright, alright....
(Anders' Clinic)
Isabela: Is he dead?
Anders: Lucily for you you're friend here is only mostly dead.
Isabela: Mostly dead? How can someone be mostly dead? That's inconceivable.
Anders: Oh so you're the medical expert now. Look, there's a big difference between dead, and mostly dead. Mostly dead, I can fix.
Isabela: What would you do if he was dead?
Anders: Search his pockets for loose change?

Fenris: 'They let you in. It can't be that much better.''
The way those two snipe at each other is hilarious sometime.

Isabela: Hey, I live here!
Fenris: I stand corrected.

The comfort scene is why I can, in my own personal head canon (IOW, no basis in the story at all) believe they reconciled to a small extent, though backed WAY off. It seems he would have spent the night with Hawke as s/he cried him/herself to sleep. And something fragile could be started there.
I love that scene.
Oh so I am not alone in that. I actually couldn't sleep last night due to the storm outside. Ended up sitting in the sofa with some nectar of creativity (also known as coffee) and the laptop and actually wrote out thow that scene played out in my head... turned out to be close to 1000 words, but felt good to have it on paper so to speak.
Though I think in my version he stays, but leaves before dawn while she is sleeping.

Fenris: If there is a future to be had, I will walk into it gladly at your side.
[Hawke and Fenris begin to kiss passionately]
...
Varric: What is it? What's the matter?
Cassandra: They're kissing again. Do we have to hear the kissing part?

Isabela would watch. There was a lot of speculation about how Varric knows about the sex scenes and stuff, I think Isabela watches (gathering research for her "friend fiction") and then reports back to Varric where they have a good laugh over it.

Tee hee.
Alone with sarcastic Hawke:
Fenris: Fenris: Sour ale, vomit and the smell of desperation.
Hawke: It's early yet.
Fenris: Excellent point.
With Merril:
Fenris: Fenris: Sour ale, vomit and the smell of desperation.
Merril: Do you like anything?
Fenris: I like quiet.
With Varrick:
Fenris: Fenris: Sour ale, vomit and the smell of desperation.
Varrick: Hmph. And that's just on the good menu.
Fenris: And you keep a room here?
Varrick: Hmph. Not all of us can squat in the lap of luxury. Not without tipping, anyway.
With Carver or Aveline it defaults to Fenris/Hawke banter.

Then Varric goes ahead and makes things spicier.
In reality, Hawke and Fenris just held hands for a while.

They have that in common! I bet Cassandra intervened or else we'd have some freaky scenes that would be completely unmentionable in any society (much less the polite variant) AND have earned DA2 an AO rating from the ESRB.

Hawke: Fenris? Fenris what's wrong? (turns his head to look out out the window) Ah, looks like the couple next door have finally made up. Anyway, you were saying something about commanding you to leave?
Fenris: I...I should go. (runs for the door)
Hawke: (sighs) Bodhan?
Bodhan: Yes messere?
Hawke: Remind me to buy some curtains the next time I go out.
