For now, it's going well, but I feel he's making my character LESS ruthless so some math will help so I don't spaz over every friendship point and just get on with roleplaying.

I didn't think it was, don't worry! XD TBH I expected trouble with my current playthrough, and went looking for it

Gah! I meant to come on here and say this when I heard it in game, but then I forgot because I was playing, so now I can't remember which quest it was exactly. But there's some quest when you go into a warehouse and Fenris makes his dislike of fish known. I laughed pretty hard. He made a disgusted noise and then said something like "Fish, fish, and more fish..." and then something about how we should find what we were looking for and get out. It's just a little instance of characters having natural likes and dislikes that made me smile. So, no cooking fish for Fenris...

Just curious, has anyone posted the artwork that Millibayley on dA has drawn of Fenris? She's done two fantastic ones and a hilarious silly one. I asked her if I could share but I'm just too god damn impatient for an answer, though I don't know if someone has already provided links or not.

I started a new playthrough as a warrior today, and discovered that I can't go through with it.

a) For me setting up the tactics menu for cross-class-combos and other fun manuvers that my mage or rogue Hawkes can set up is a pain.

Aveline and Fenris don't come along for the ride because I need a rogue, Anders, and Merrill in my party for support. I like Fenris and Aveline and having them on the bench for the majority of the game makes me sad.

I actually put him at 30-ish since he actually did felt and looked a lot older then say Bethany or Carver. But I think Anders might be in the same age range... and probably Sebastian as well...
But that is based on what i see ehar and felt when interacting with the characters more then any actuall fact...

But, I REALLY need help with Fenris. I'm almost to the end of the game (just a couple side quests and then the last 2 main quests), and I STILL have not gotten the scene where Fenris gets back together with Hawke. I've already gotten the sex scene after 'The Bitter Pill' and I thought I'd get back together with him after 'Alone', but that hasn't happened yet. And he tells the other companions that we've broken up... I don't have him at full rivalry, but almost.
So my question is, do I need him at full rivalry to get back together, or is this a bug? I'm trying to get more rivalry points with him, but for some reason they're hard to come by so far for me in Act III.
And I'm almost done with the game. T.T

Please help a fellow Fenris-lover! Thanks!

(P.S. Yes, I have already check the Hawke Estate and Fenris' Mansion at day and night. Still no scene.)

Keep in mind that Elves typically age slower than humans, and Fenris does have the starting markers of age/stress on his face.  The marker you put actually sounds about right to me.  Believe it or not, the facial differences between ages 25-30 isn't as dramatic as some might think  >.<;

It's not exactly straightforward, some of us romanced Anders first, which was pretty easy. Fen takes more work much like Zev compared to Alistair. Hell I'm rerunning a game I was almost done with because I still made mistakes. it happens.

Haha, I've also been looking for that. I walked around Darktown with them in the party for like 10 minutes, and nothing about Hawke. >_>

You get 2 Questioning Belief quests. One at 50%, one at 100%. I'm usually maxed out at the beginning of act 3 (even if I have to be a real A** hole to one or two of my characters to do it).

There's another one (questioning beliefs quest) in act 3.  Get him to max rivalry then go to his house.

Edit: This is the conversation you have AFTER Alone.  If that hasn't triggered, that's all that's going on.  If you DID talk to him about it at his house already, then it's done.

Ok, I haven't gotten the second one yet, then. Actually, I haven't gotten two with all of my companions yet. I think the only ones I'm at full rivalry/friendship with are Varric, Merrill, and Anders.

I guess I got lucky then.  *grin* Then again, I got Zevran right on the first try too, down to the proposal with no guide, so maybe I do just have crazy luck!

No, but if you do The Long Road after having romanced Fenris, she will make a comment along the lines of "How do you and Fenris deal with this?". The pained look Hawke gives her is just amazingly well done.

You get another Questioning Beliefs quest in Act III, when you have his Friendship or Rivalry maxed out.

I'm trying, and pretty much am an **** mage sympathiser, but the gorgeous elf makes me do things of questionable nature to get rivalry! I had the conversation with him, the choices to get rivalry from him are so... UGH. So I took the 20 friendship hit if it meant having a decent conversation.

I'm not looking forward to him yelling at me when I give him a gift. This rivalry stuff is TOUGH.

You're beyond this I'm sure, but easy ways to start with big rivalry.  At the first conversation, tell hm you're after power.  It doesn't matter if you flirt or not -- +25 rivalry.  In your first conversation at his home, tell him you don't miss your home at all and tell him he whines too much.  +20 rivalry.  Take him and Anders to the gallows for the first time.  Pick aggressive options, enjoy the fight.  I don't remember the rivalry, but I think it was somewhere between 5-15.  Then do various siding with mages.  You and he will be at each other's throats soon enough

OH my.  LOL.  That's the problem see... I cannot bring myself to make Hawke say those stupid things during Fenris' convo.  I already got +20 rivalry upon meeting him, that was nice.  Got the gallows points, woot.  But the conversation stuff... it's just too obnoxious even for my evil blood mage.  It's not like she hates family, she cares about family and mages and anyone threatening either is toast.  She's just... aggressive-like and loves to chop people into little pieces.  If they happen to be bad guys, well how nice!  She's also super irritated that everyone wants help, but she wants the coin... and she's starting to notice that favours lead to killing some dudes... she's warming up to all this helping business.  But still... BLAH whatever, tell me what you want, oh gawds, another one of you wants help... help yourselves people, come on!

LOL.  Anyway, the point is that in his quests and conversations, the options to get rivalry are... well... horrid.  I cannot build a character that agrees with that stuff.  Evil blood mage?  Maybe some favours with demons?  Maybe.  Bargaining with a complete **** over the price for my BOYFRIEND?  No.  Just no.

So, I'm rushing on through trying to get 100% rivalry before the important bits so I can be... hey, you're my man I support you!  I just kind of expect you to support me too, even if you disagree like heck with me.  

*sigh* I fear it's going to be all yelling and shouting instead though... I wish there was more kissing scenes... Last time (friendship romance with Fenris) I felt bloody lonely in act 3.  Did his quest too quickly and then there was... well... nothing until the end.  Sad.
